They offer a monthly payment plan for southern CA residents (not sure about other areas- it's worth checking out depending on where you're from).  My hubby and I have deluxe passes and for the two of us, it's just under $60 a month.  We'd spend more than that going to dinner and a movie!

We had the same issue and decided not to renew. The monthly pymt option just isn't for us. It's easier for us to come up with the full cost when we have it than worry about the monthly petty cash with the extra bills we're expecting. Taking some time off will make us appreciate it more when we're able to go again. - mandigutterrose  156.5 #2487 12:36AM

You know, I did a quick Google search and I didn't find anything. Sometimes it's nice to be able to come to a place like MW and get advice from people who have recent experiences with certain products, such as these maps.

That really is awful.  I'm so sorry that it happened to you.  I really hope that your stroller finds its way back to you!  In the future, maybe you could sew in your name and phone number to the stroller?  And maybe just get a locker for anything important you leave in there.  I remember when I was a child my parents would store everything in the strollers.  The world  More...

Hmm. I have to carry medicine with me at the parks due to my frequent kidney stones (it has come in handy at the parks twice already.. they come out of nowhere!), but I carry a very small amount and I put it in a plastic baggie inside of my backpack, inside of my makeup bag. I've never lost it on a ride.

It's not that big of a deal. I don't see any reason to get quite this upset over it. I understand it being a little disappointing, but in the grand scheme of things, I think the length and color of Rapunzel's hair is last on my list of things to worry about. I'm just grateful that Disney gives me an opportunity to interact with characters in general and to create such incredible and magical mem  More...

I personally feel this would be a great oppurtunity to teach your little one to not cry when there is change. Let her learn that a princess is a princess let it be long hair or not. I usually am not a person who disagrees with other but writing a complaint over this is silly IMO. Disney will do her "Do" just fine. I am sure that the long hair one will still be in other things. But writing a complaint.... Really? Aren't there other things wrong in this world worth your time to complain about , world hunger, child labor, human trafficking, politics!?!? But no hair is what grinds your gears???? Turn on CNN and learn about some real issues - BooEve123  800.9 #195 8:50PM

PE, I do the same thing. I have donated to Locks of Love about 4or5 times. I let my hair grow long, then bob it, then grow it long again. In fact, I will be cutting it off again in a couple of weeks for a donation. - OutNumberedMom  800.3 #196 7:56AM
mrsblue, you were being a little argumentative about it (at least that's more arguing than I ever do, online or in person). Nobody was bashing Disney. It would be kinda like if somebody said 'hey they're removing Dole Whips, I'm gonna write a letter'. And others post 'bummer', 'that would break my kids heart' etc., etc. Why would somebody who doesn't care chime in and criticize with 'Get over it' 'give me a break' or 'oh please'? I think the only problem with the original post is that she used the word 'complaint'. If she used another word there probably wouldn't have been such an attack of her. But who cares, I understand what she was saying and there wasn't anything wrong with it. I felt the same way and wanted to support her. Anyway, after a nights sleep I realize, writing about it here makes no difference and you're smotherin' the magic for me so I'm gonna exit this scene with a thank you for your passion and opinions, I appreciate you all no matter if we agree or not. - Punzel  42.1 #4673 10:27AM

Have someone in your family get there at least 3 hours early and set up a blanket right by the fence. When hubby and I go, we take turns getting up to grab snacks (popcorn, soda, candy, etc.) and we bring a deck of cards to play while passing the time.

Yeah Riverbelle. I just did this last Saturday. We found a table on the far right side (if facing restaurant) about an hour before the first show. Mind you it was a very slow day. I loved it because we were able to have a table with chairs which is really helpful with little ones and a stroller. Also, they don't allow anyone to stand up in that area and they don't allow any chairs from the other parts of the restaurant to be brought over because of potential fire hazards. So it wasn't cramped and my kids could see. Only drawback was it is between the water screens so the view of that wasn't so great. But having a table to eat my funnel cake at was awesome. - tballzz  554.3 #319 11:48AM

I would simply thank him and let him know that my life is better because of his legacy.

Walt! They've let the cost of the Premium Pass reach to $499! And the one day pass is outrageous too! The typical American family can't afford to go to Disneyland anymore! Can you help stop this corporate maddness? - hunnybee7777  190.2 #1998 9:18AM
Have you seen the value of a one day ticket?! A circus ticket costs around $50. A 2 hour Broadway musical costs more than a one day ticket. And everytime I go i get to see amazing productions such as water shows with pyrotechnics, firework shows that are unrivaled, and be in an atmosphere unlike anyinteger. I used my pass 39 times last year. Sic used her pass 364 times last year. Disney is the sucker not us. - HotDiggityDogDaddy  1113.1 #134 9:22AM

Worth every penny! - Nyghtngale  558.0 #316 9:26AM
The typical American family CAN afford DL--there's thousands of them going everyday. Walt was a businessman: prices for everything are going up. If it costs $15 on average per person to go see a lame-o movie about vampires/werewolves and "complicated" love plus another $10-15 per person for food and popcorn, then the price of a one-day ticket to DL is reasonable, lol. - Spoonful_O_Sugar  551.7 #320 9:29AM
Lol @spoonful!! - nikkiribas  323.4 #698 9:42AM
I am a typical American Family and I can afford Disneyland. We have used our Premium passes 62 times so far this year. They have more than paid for themselves. - Mrsblue  692.9 #238 11:12AM
Guess I'm atypical. - cesium55  531.6 #338 1:03PM
Basically my pass has already paid for itself. I'd rather pay $499 to go any time than pay for tickets up to that value. - CMWalker  341.4 #622 1:06PM
Do not disagree about the value of the AP. But consider, 8 years ago the pass cost $199. What is the breaking point? If the pass goes up another $300-500 in the coming years is the value still there? A comparable AP at WDW costs $50 less for FL residents. They have 4 great parks. - jacdanfan  7560.6 #4 1:19PM
If I lived in California, I'd get the best AP possible. I may not be able to really afford it. But I don't care. I'd go whenever I could. Regardless of whether I could afford it or not. - MagicalCaprice  480.7 #382 2:35PM
Well, the cost for a family of 3 is almost $1500 per year. I wish annual passes for kids were less than the adult pass. I remember the days when the annual pass was $99 per year with no block out dates. That was back in the mid 90's. Two years ago, my annual pass was $429 per year. A year later it bumped to $459 and now it's $499. When are the price hikes going to slow down? If it continues to jump $30-$40 a year, who will be able to afford it? I know our salaries aren't jumping up like that. - hunnybee7777  190.2 #1998 2:44PM
364 times.!?! Shiznits. I wish. Id even take 36 times. who wants to trade lives for 6 months ? :D - NeverlandTink  423.1 #452 3:27PM
I get that it's expensive. But as long as people are paying, they'll keep charging more. Walt was a businessman--it's likely that he wouldn't see anything wrong with the price increases, especially when you look at the big picture. Everything in CA is more expensive: A gallon of milk is double what it was 6 years ago. Gas is $4 per gallon. And don't even get me started on health insurance. - Spoonful_O_Sugar  551.7 #320 3:28PM
No one is saying you have to have a premium pass. If you have done the math and can honestly say you will go enough times, then go for it. I've been over 35 days since February. So that's a little more than $10 a trip (before the latest increase), which I would easily spend at the movies for 2-3 hours, and way less than going to another theme park for one day. Yes Florida has more parks, but California has way more ap's and we take advantage of them in a way that they do not at WDW. Also, we get more and larger discounts on food and merchandise. - bluefairy  643.3 #261 3:34PM
If to was cheap to get in, it would be called Magic Mountain. ... And it would look like it too. - Calypso  826.5 #189 3:39PM
Disneyland is totally affordable for every family. It keeps kids entertained through out the year. - maxinerenton  422.7 #455 3:42PM
If i still lived in California, we would be getting AP passes. We can only go once a year because from WA we have to pay airfare so we always stay a week so that we get as much as we can from our trip. Yes between the tickets, hotel and airfare it does add up, but I'd rather save up and pay that for a week long vacation in Disneyland then go to some other dumpy event. Every other amusement park pales in comparison to Disneyland. Every thing is clean, safe and immerses you in the experience. I love it. I'll keep paying the prices because I know the value of what I'm getting for my money. Every time we go somewhere and I see chipping paint or garbage on the ground all I think is "I can't wait until our Disneyland trip." Disney knows how to entertain you! - MinnieBuccs  172.8 #2232 8:08PM
Ok I'm from the real world and a family with 3 kids(that's five tickets) would be 500 just for one day not including snacks. Its almost not worth getting a one day pass. Cost less for an ap. It should be like that - ChloesDadTim  48.1 #4458 10:51PM
One day tickets are a little high, but not that much more than other parks. Plus, in the last 10 or so years since I got my first premium ap, they have added a whole other park, more rides and attractions, more everything. - bluefairy  643.3 #261 2:09AM

I would say thank you for creating a world that so many can escape to and leave their troubles and worries behind and let their inner child take over, if only for a short time. - aprincessatheart  13.5 #7935 1:44AM

I tried some on at my local Wal Mart. Super cute, but SOOO warm! I still want to get them, but I'd end up freezing hubby because I'd have to open the windows to be comfortable in them!

Omg!!!! So gonna go get these :D! - sarahpie  275.3 #990 6:37PM
