Dia De Los Muertos Carnitas at Rancho De Zocalo! When I asked if they were spicy I was first told no, and then I asked, even for a big wimp? The CM serving them let me try some...and they are reeeaallly good! Not spicy, and the carnitas and whatever they are marinated in are very flavorful. I will be ordering this again on my next visit :)
For Mousketeer.for.short! My emperor's new groove pins, not including the Yzma one currently seen in the parks. i got the small one at D23 last summer. I found the LE in disneyland a while back. The circle on the LE spins to reveal a llama on the other side :)
Just read in the micechat newsletter that the height requirement for the matterhorn (with its new lapbars) will be increased to 42 inches. Maybe someone can confirm. If it's true, gunna be some disappointed kiddos :(
For those with little ones to shop for, that live in the LA area, the citadel outlet center has a new place called Kids Supercenter...lots of discount brand name clothes, including these for 5.99! They also had princess stuff:)
Good evening everyone! I just got the micechat newsletter. For anyone from the san gabriel valley that planned to go to the parks this afternoon and hasnt the news: a tanker blew up on the 60 and the freeway is closed between the 605 and 710. All freeway traffic is being diverted to the 10 and 5. Trust me, it is a MESS around the 60. Be careful and patient if you happen to get caught in the traffic jams!
Good evening :) i have a question for the talented mousewait users who have etsy, ebay, etc accounts to sell their goodies. I am considering using a website to try to sell my art, some of which is/will be disney themed. My mom is encouraging me, while my dad says i'll be sued. I wondered how real the risk is of that happening? I appreciate any help. Also, i have read the FAQ and am in no way tryi More...
Lost pin! I found it in a track near the partners statue. Unfortunately the back was run over so it cant be used at the moment. Anyways, if it belongs to a MWer and you still want it, i'm wearing black pants and a beige sweater with red and grey snowflake designs. If no claimers i will give it to lost and found when i leave the park.
Groundbreaking for the Temple of the Forbidden Eye occurred in August 1993. More than 400 Imagineers worked on its design and construction. Tony Baxter led a core project team of nearly 100 Imagineers.
Several early concepts were considered for Indy including a walk-through adventure and a high-speed mine car adventure within a temple. To avoid a long queue, Imagineers even considered using Jungle Cruise launches to shuttle guests to the loading area. The team tested key show elements in a Burbank warehouse on a full-sized elevated track that resembled a freeway. This enabled the team to test set pieces, lighting, effects, transport clearances and motion profiles.
To create space for the 0.5-mile queue area and the 50,000-square-foot show building, an area of the former "Eeyore" parking lot was demolished, and the Monorail and Jungle Cruise attractions were rerouted. As I'm sure some of you know, an old Eeyore parking sign is hidden up in the rafters high above the projection room (in the queue). The sign pays homage to the Eeyore Parking Lot.
To watch some scenes from the opening ceremony:
Happy 19th birthday Indy!
Have you been on this attraction? If so, what is your favorite part or scene?
Thanks for reading and watching! Hope you all have a magnificent Monday!
