I have used them twice a year for the last 7 years and I have never had a problem. They have always been on time, kids ride free with paying adult and no car seats needed. The one time we stayed at the Majestic we had to take a cab over to the DH and catch it from there but the other times we have always been near enough to walk on over to a stop.

I am local so I can't help out, I hope someone can be of assistance! Safe travels and have fun  - grapesoda  1353.7 #154 12:49PM
I looked Disneyland resort express bus on trip advisor and the last review was from 2008. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ I googled "shuttles from John Wayne Airport to Disneyland with car seats for children" and found a few services. I'm not sure what your price range is. Maybe try Uber? There has to be people who do the Uber service and have car seats?? Maybe?? - misschurro  9360.5 #12 1:01PM
Here:  Uber Car Seat provides uberX vehicles equipped with a car seat. To request Uber Car Seat, tap the 'car seat' option after selecting the uberX vehicle type. A $10 surcharge is added to uberX pricing for Uber Car Seat trips. Uber Car Seat provides one forward-facing car seat for a child who is at least:(a) 12 months old AND (b) 22 lbs. AND (c) 31 inches. A child is too big at 48 lbs. or 52 inches. - misschurro  9360.5 #12 1:04PM

I think it depends which hotel.  The last time we took it we were going to the Hilton and we had to switch buses at the DLH which was really inconvenient with our luggage and stroller.  Travel time without traffic until we reached the Hilton was an hour and 15 minutes.  Personally we wouldn't take it again.   - Ldgsg  215.9 #1930 3:54PM

I have used them for transportation round trip from LAX for our last 3 trips to DL. I love them. It's easy to catch at the airport and have always been on time picking us up to return to the airport.  The experience has been hassle free and I definatly recommend.

If anyone knows, I would love the info, too. LAX is always the cheaper flight, but the ground transportation part has been less than magical. - DeneciePie  330.4 #847 2:24PM

My mom always brought her crock pot. She would dump everything in and turn it on and then when we got back from the parks in the evenings we would have a hot meal ready for us. Takes a little planning but a good way to feed a lot of people for cheap.

Tagged in: TIPS
I've got a few... 1) Our Target usually has the Smart Water bottles they sell in the parks for $1. I buy at least 3 for each day we will be there and freeze them. That way they stay cold all day. I carry one and put the others in the backpack. 2) The picnic area lockers! These lockers are bigger than the ones inside the parks and the esplanade and you don't have to take the stuff through bag check. You could fit a small ice chest in one of the large lockers and keep cool items. We once mixed up some tuna and kept that, bread (well, we forgot the bread which resulted in some creativity lol), snacks like Cheezits, etc. Then you can keep all your meals in there and the patio is usually pretty empty. PLUS you're still on property!!! 3) I got this one from MW. If you have a Target Red Card, purchase Disney gift cards with it when you can. You'll get 5% off (plus whatever you get on your AP) 4) I have several apps on my phone that I use to build up rewards. I then redeem those rewards for Starbucks gift cards that can be used in all the park locations. We've gotten a whole meal for free with this! The sandwiches they have at the DCA location are yummy! Here are my regular apps: Viggle (check in on tv), Shopkick (scan items on your phone when shopping), Mom uses Mango Health (check in when you take your daily medications, including vitamins!). I'm sure there's plenty more, but they're SUPER easy!!!Β  - SPandEvLover  4843.7 #33 3:28PM

Definitely utilize Costco. People have this impression that I have all this $$ to come to Disneyland everyday and that couldn't be further from the truth. I SAVE money by being here. I bring my own drinks & snacks like Triscuits, trail mix, apples and other tough fruits that can withstand the backpack; also Cliff & other snack bars. It saves a ton of money & energy.  - apesandmonkeys  6523.5 #24 1:37PM

When we were there for 4 days last week I kept an eye open for a preferred time and there isn't one. We just sucked it up and stood in line. I was pleasantly surprised at how fast the line moved though. The line started back at the 120 min mark but we were through the line and done visiting in 58 minutes. If you have a fan it is definatly worth the wait.

No matter what you will be waiting a good amount of time (90-180 minutes or more). Meet and greet opens at 11am so gets there even before that (think near opening) or maybe try just prior to closing (I believe the line gets cut off at 5pm). This weekend is a holiday weekend for many so keep that in mind when it comes to how long you may be waiting. - missmimi90  2076.8 #92 10:55AM
Unfortunately you are gonna have to wait a while. But the good news is, you'll be in Disneyland. I'd go wait at opening, first thing, get it out of the way so you can plan the rest of your day without it lingering over you. The wait at opening is typically 1-2 hours from what I've seen. Good luck! PS: I think we would all love to see a video when you get it, even if it's not aimed at us, I think lots of MWers still have yet to see them. - BeatleMike  635.6 #368 11:16AM
