No weight loss this week. Boo! There is a positive side to this, we went out to dinner to celebrate my husband's new job and I was gone over the weekend, I did the best that I could with the constraints. Focusing on my goals.
As requested, this is an excerpt from the book "The Story of Walt Disney's Motion Picture Mary Poppins". This tells about the making of Mary Poppins with P.L. Travers as told in "Saving Mr. Banks". I found this very interesting. I hope you enjoy.
I just found my copy of "The Story of Walt Disney's Motion Picture Mary Poppins" from 1963. I have a new found love for this book after seeing Saving Mr. Banks. There is a passage in the book about the making of the movie Mary Poppins from 1963. I'll post it if anyone is interested in seeing it.
A personal favorite is the beautifully hand crafted music box
A fun video from 2013, the story behind the music box with Clopin, Figaro and the even watch the Tangled Tower being put into the Fantasy Faire:
Of course, no trip to the Fantasy Faire would be complete without a visit to the Royal Hall. Loved this artist rendition, that's just how my girls are when they enter the Hall. ::sigh::
Took this next part directly from Disney Parks Blog:
“After walking into our main entrance, you will first go through a garden-like setting before entering the reception hall,” said Michel Den Dulk, Creative Director of Fantasy Faire for Walt Disney Imagineering. “Once inside the Royal Hall, guests will discover a beautiful gothic interior with nice wallpaper, wall cresting, wood finishes and chandeliers.”
Passing through a series of spaces, including the Grand Hall, you’ll have the opportunity to meet as many as three Disney princesses, from classic stories such as “Cinderella” and “Sleeping Beauty.”
Dont forget to grab a sweet treat from Maurice's Treats! At the time, (isn't there more now?) the adorable cart featured 3 “Twists” and a new signature beverage: Boysen Apple Freeze.
In a tribute to the historic Carnation Plaza Gardens, a shield over the archway leading from Fantasy Faire to Rancho del Zocalo in Frontierland displays the letters “CPG.”
