She is adorable. Cute too. Love the bag. Can I ask where you got it? We are going on a Disney cruise and doing the FE. I thought the drawstring bag would be a great gift.

Working. One more day and then I am off. Studying for ACLS on Thursday. I just finished crocheting a dress for my granddaughter, and in to the next project; cross-stitching a handprint for my grandsons kindergarten teacher. Got to get ahead of the last day of school.

I'm cleaning and found some old stuff from the war in 1941. Β And Β a book from Glasgow from 1939. Β my parents were both stationed overseas during WWII, my dad as a corporal in the army air corp and my mom in the army air corps flying nurse Β corp! They met in England. Was hoping for DL stuff but this is interesting! Stories on the bad ones during that time, farm news and comics😍😍 - secretagentangel  11064.9 #9 9:39PM

I enjoy looking back on the old scrapbooks from my mom. Was the main thing I wanted along with the family photo albums after she passed away - Goofytom  4478.6 #39 9:58PM
I thought I had cleaned this drawer under a built in closet. There's stories in a newspaper about celebrities, the dodgers and the war and hitler😬😬. They're kind of falling apart so Im going to copy them so I can read them. There's a picture if 13 year old "starlet" Judy garland!  - secretagentangel  11064.9 #9 11:16PM
What an interesting find:-). What's the Glasgow book about? - beentoall  1466.6 #0 12:55AM
beentoall, I thought I thought of you immediately. It's this small book of a hundred or so pages with maps and tidbits from  1939. If I can make a copy I'll let you know. My dad  were stationed there during the war so it's probably a history or tourist book.  - secretagentangel  11064.9 #9 11:36AM
Hello @Goofytom! I'm have a FANTASTIC time. We're in Kanab, Utah. Went to Zion NP on Friday then to Bryce Canyon NP where it snowed. We were supposed to go snow shoeing but the snow storm made it a bit hard. Also the visibility was pretty bad. We're going to try again tomorrow. There also was a hot air ballon festival going on where we got to launch paper lanterns at night. Just like Tangled!! It was awesome!!!πŸ˜€β€πŸŽˆ - encinitasrunner  227.9 #1761 9:28PM

Went to Avila and set up the new camper. Trying to put everything in its place. Only for the night, because of the rain coming. Still a great day.

Nothing says Happy Valentine's Day like a clogged kitchen sink!😏I am ready to call it a day. Even though I had to deal with that mess tonight, I felt so blessed to have my parents over. It was a great night.πŸ˜€ - RadiatorSprings4Ever  3179.3 #52 9:56PM
Oh bummer! A clogged kitchen sink is no good. Having your parents over today must have been great though. I've been missing my parents terribly lately and would love to have them live closer.  - DarthTinkerbell  1490.7 #133 10:01PM
Oh no! If the clog is not available try dumping a box of baking soda and a cup of vinegar into the drain and covering it with the pot lid because it will bubble. If it's a small clog it should clear it if not it needs to be snaked. Friendly public service announcement from your neighborhood property managerπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ - ShariRenee  14181.4 #6 10:17PM
ugh! - MsTikiMermadam  1933.1 #102 10:18PM
If it does not snake out, call a drain service company that only charges $88 as opposed to a plumber that can charge a whole lot more. - ShariRenee  14181.4 #6 10:18PM
@@ShariRenee how long do you leave the mixture?  does they sink have to be empty of liquid before you pour that stuff in? - MsTikiMermadam  1933.1 #102 10:21PM
Sorry about your sink but you do have the funniest way of saying things!  Humor serves us well in though times - Ilovegoofy  239.2 #1608 10:26PM
Did that main sewer line right after myMom passing with a full house of family. Got it partially fixed and working till we all have time off to finish the job. Yes my brother and I are replacing it. - Plumiegirl  10817.4 #11 10:26PM
ShariRenee *files tidbit of info away for future reference*. Thank you!!! - Ilovegoofy  239.2 #1608 10:27PM
No it is okay with water. Drano and other products are really bad if you have older pipes because they can corrode them and if you end up needing a drain cleanout it is toxic for the technicians. There is a Nother product called FLow Easy which is a natural form of sulfuric acid that will eat anything organic and not harm pipes. It is safe enough to use in toilets to keep drains running smoothly. There are safety precautions involved because of fumes so please read package directions. - ShariRenee  14181.4 #6 10:28PM
DarthTinkerbell I am sorry!πŸ˜”I can't get upset over a sink when I am blessed with having my parents here. ShariRenee Thank you MacGyver, I always appreciate any tips from you!πŸ˜€ We go through this about every three years. I will tell hubby about calling a drain service. It just needs to be snaked. MsTikiMermadam She knows everything!πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ - RadiatorSprings4Ever  3179.3 #52 10:28PM
Things like that seem to happen when the most folks are in the home.  - Plumiegirl  10817.4 #11 10:28PM
Especially when you have guests remember that your garbage disposal is not your trashcan. It is really just made for a tiny bit of scraps and not clumps of leftover food.  Older pipes and if you have tree such as ficus and other route invasive trees they are probably poking through your pipes and that will also catch any debris that you put down your disposal. OK PSA is overπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ - ShariRenee  14181.4 #6 10:32PM
Ilovegoofy Thank you! I have to laugh at so much. I love how MW provides that relief. Plumiegirl Oh wow! My parents just had to do the main sewer line. My plumbing problems are nothing compared to what can happen when a pipe bursts. That is amazing that you two can do the work yourselves. I bet you will save so much money. - RadiatorSprings4Ever  3179.3 #52 10:33PM
ShariRenee you are spot on again. I dumped a plate of spaghetti down the garbage disposal even though Rod has told me 100 times not to do that. I was busy talking!😫We have an old house with old plumbing and a bunch of leaves and dirt came up too because of underground roots - RadiatorSprings4Ever  3179.3 #52 10:37PM
Whispers "also no lady products, make up wipes or our new fantastic Kleenex down your older  toilet drain". - ShariRenee  14181.4 #6 10:40PM
Pasta, meat, eggshells are the worst. I hope it's nothing serious and I'm glad your parents were there! - ShariRenee  14181.4 #6 10:41PM
Plumiegirl That is so true! ShariRenee*whispers* We had that discussion with the youngest.πŸ˜– - RadiatorSprings4Ever  3179.3 #52 10:42PM
OK one last one. If you know where your clean out is and you have a good snake, 25 feet or so you may be able to push it out yourself. I know way too much about the stuff for a girl πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜Š - ShariRenee  14181.4 #6 10:45PM
ShariRenee This info helps out a lot of people. Our clean out requires a professional snake. It is in a weird place and requires quite a few feet. We tried my dad's snake when this problem first started happening. Awesome suggestions. - RadiatorSprings4Ever  3179.3 #52 10:50PM
I have a septic system and remember this (it's good for regular sewers also):All people with septic tanksGive to you our heartfelt thanksFor putting nothing in the potThat isn't guaranteed to rot.Tissues, tampons go in the basket. There's a darn good reason why we ask it.  - disneyforme  867.4 #255 10:54PM
I think carrots are the worst on a garbage disposal but it's because when i  furst moved into my old house, I tossed shredded carrots down there and had to rent a big snake at Home Depot the next day. Learned it's better to call someone considering time and grossness. Also, if you're on septic like we are, be careful of any chemicals you put in there. You really don't need to put septic fresheners or whatever down there as it messes them up. I just recently had risers installed (don't ask) and the owner f the company came out and sat and regaled me with lots of sewer/septic stories! 🀒fun🀒 - secretagentangel  11064.9 #9 10:59PM
Also shop around for a professional snake. More people doing it so the price has come down! If it recurs ask them to do a camera of the line. Sadly avoid the large companies and deal with good local plumbers! - ShariRenee  14181.4 #6 10:59PM
secretagentangel , so sorry I have a couple on septic too!!!!!!! - ShariRenee  14181.4 #6 11:16PM
disneyforme I am on a sewer system, I think πŸ˜‚. I am not familiar with how the other system works. I constantly see plumbing trucks around our city. I have no excuse dumping pasta 🍝 down the sink. secretagentangel Not too many carrots are eaten over here. I can tell you this is the second time pasta had been involved 😬ShariRenee Purchasing a professional snake is a great idea. Rod will be so happy with me when I tell him all these great suggestions in the morning. πŸ˜‚ - RadiatorSprings4Ever  3179.3 #52 11:24PM
RadiatorSprings4Ever, DM me tomorrow. I know you already do this but if it's a slow draining plug or a faster draining plug you may be able to do it yourself. Most likely there's also a route etc. and if you can purchase an electric snake it will take care of the job. Otherwise shop for prices because like I said before they have gone down significantly. - ShariRenee  14181.4 #6 11:40PM
And Home Depot rents all kinds of tools. A good snake is about $60 for the day. I did it by myself so it took longer but if he has help, it's not too bad.  - secretagentangel  11064.9 #9 12:15AM
ShariRenee sent you DM. secretagentangel He sure goes there enough. Thank you. - RadiatorSprings4Ever  3179.3 #52 12:34AM

Hmm. Worked and it was busy. Between the flu resurgence and heart attacks, it was non stop. I love my job. The trip home is always harder. Seems like the ride is sooooo long, and the dreaded "get back to the real world" sets in.

Hi All.  Good day today.  Our son finally finished his grueling, month long audition process to join the Blue Devils B Drum and Bugle Corps and was accepted!  Some really proud parents here!!  And as for the traveling to and from the park... Definitely harder to leave for me!  Since we usually do multiday trips, the jarring jump back to reality at the end is tough!  I'm sure all of us here know about that! - clawton  454.9 #542 9:55PM

I'm at my fathers on and island off the West Coast of Scotland, for the weekend. Supposed to be lovely and sunny.  I'm worried about my eldest who is at home where it has been snowing all night.  She starts work very early and I'll not settle until I know she gets to work okay.  I've brought my laptop with me to start work on a photo album of our trip to   I should have done it ages ago but my last laptop was incredibly slow.  Hoping the new one I got for Christmas will make the job a lot easier.  It will be fun looking back at the photos.   Wish I could make it to a meet up in the future, it looks like a lot of fun:-)Thanks for hosting. - beentoall  1466.6 #0 9:11PM

Had a good day, busy. We parked our new camper by the house last night, so we could load it today. Our neighbor told us he ran 3 people off that were trying to steal it this morning. Just crazy. He can think on his feet. Actually quite funny, when he told the story. Nothing was stolen or broken into. We had the grandkids tonight. They were perfect. We like to camp. So, that is our fun. Last year w  More...

For me, it's not so much the place but why I'm there. I *really* love to travel with my band to do gigs like street fairs and such. Doesn't matter where really but the fact that I'm playing music makes it super fun! - clawton  454.9 #542 9:38PM
What does Mabelmouse do while you're out at your gigs? I know she supports the high school band but does  she come to your other gigs too? I think it's playing music and being with the guys in the man makes you happy too, right? - secretagentangel  11064.9 #9 10:01PM
Mabel does come to a lot of my gig that are open to the public. And those ones are usually at outdoor events so there's always something fun for her to do. Sometimes she even stays to hear me play a solo or two! secretagentangel - clawton  454.9 #542 10:34PM
So wonderful, I wish I had kept up all of my instruments. I just loaned a couple of my electric guitars to a friend for an event I may have to pick them up again. Music is life! - ShariRenee  14181.4 #6 11:23PM
Yes I'm his band groupie!  I especially love to go to his gigs at outdoor events like Farmer's Markets or at wineries.  Sometimes there are perks when you're "with the band"! πŸ˜€πŸ·πŸŽΊπŸŽ·πŸ‡πŸŽΆ - MabelMouse  481.7 #496 11:43PM
I love going to the beach.  My day?  Fantastic...Booked flights and hotel for a DL trip in June, the 17th to 24th. Flights were cheap and the hotel was a "gift" from my in-laws because they have a timeshare.  It is a mile from the parks, but we stayed there 2 years ago and it was not a problem to walk.  Super stoked.  My first mom/daughter trip. - dianeburns1998  122.6 #3330 9:23PM
Is the timeshare a condo or a hotel? Is it the Fairfield? Is that the  big yellow one? I'm glad you booked your stay!  I'm glad you guys are going to get to come because I know you were  really bummed if you didn't get to come before Star Wars land and that's not till 2019 !!Will have to meet you when you're down here! And I bet your daughters gonna have a blast! - secretagentangel  11064.9 #9 9:40PM
It is a hotel, the Peacock Suites.  Nothing fabulous but it was clean and has a kitchenette.  We like to have treats at Disney and usually go to a character meal, but I like having the kitchen to go back to the hotel and make lunch everyday.  If I get accepted to my Masters, it will already have started so I will have to spend time on that.  Yes, I will definitely do an MW meetup, if one is going on that week.  We will buy a 5 day pass. - dianeburns1998  122.6 #3330 9:50PM
I like my own kitchen when traveling too!  - secretagentangel  11064.9 #9 9:59PM
The ART bus stops right front - so you don't have to walk each trip to and from the parks. We stayed there a couple of years ago.  The little kitchen was a good idea. - crazyfriends  84.9 #4062 11:16AM
crazyfriends, yes we know that but we enjoy the walk and I don't like to spend the $ on it.  We are tired by the end of the week, but walking is easy for us. - dianeburns1998  122.6 #3330 4:10PM
Beach and Movies are my happy places away from home away from home 😁🌊πŸŽ₯🏰🏝When I can afford it, we love road trips and concerts. - OhanaPhoto  7032.9 #20 12:18AM
G'morning!  I have a long commute to work each day, so I love sticking close to home and doing simple things on the weekends, like reading, watching tv, and cooking/baking.  I like shopping in little boutiques and having coffee or lunch with friends, just going out for a long walk or jog with my pup, or over to the movie theater with my husband.  We have a fun old-fashioned theater nearby.  It's been revamped with stadium seats and stuff but still has the old feel.  It is not too far of a drive for us to go up to the mountains for a hike or to go camping, so we do that some weekends when the weather is nice.  We've been thinking about getting a kayak, which would be pretty fun.  I also love going into San Francisco to go shopping and sightsee for the day, but we haven't done that in a year or so.   - Spoonful_O_Sugar  706.0 #324 7:36AM

Hello...helloπŸ‘‹πŸ» we went and pick up our camper. Bittersweet. Found out we are going to be grandparents -again. Our middle son and his gf are expecting a delivery in Oct. quite the surprise for us. The gf sent us a little onesie with the announcement on it. It will probably be a financial struggle, but our son and his gf are the most gentlest and kind people. So mellow, and thoughtful. Should  More...

It's hard to know some of our MW Ohana are facing difficulties. My faith gets me thru all things. Prayer... lots of it. Sometimes when I wake up in the morning I feel less then excited about my day... Almost a sense of dread.... I just ask God for Joy... Help me find joy in the midst of the mundane/routine of my day. Let me tell you He never lets me down. Something in my day will bring me that joy.  I go to bed at night Thankful. Quite the turn around from when I woke up in the morning!  - Nikki3Mous3  182.4 #2362 9:47PM
I love this. Sometimes it gets so easy to let the negative overwhelm you. You've really found a great way to flip that frown upside down and find the joy in the day you are given. I'm going to give this a try when I feel a tad overwhelmed too. - DarthTinkerbell  1490.7 #133 9:55PM
That's a good way to get your mind on something no matter how small that can bring you joy. Because sometimes when you're in the middle of these horrible things going on a little bit of goodness is all you need to remember God is in control. I ask God every night to fill me with joy and peace and love and energy the minute I wake up and I thought of Him.. I think too if you can just look forward and up and just stop thinking the what if's. Because it always does work out.!  - secretagentangel  11064.9 #9 10:03PM

Hi, secretagentangel!  Sorry to see some of our fellow MWers aren't doing so well. What do I do at those times? Disneyland is definitely one option; always a way to get away from my problems. Some times the right movie or music can help; I think LaLaLand would work. And talk to friends, and I'm blessed to have a good circle. Including folks here! - redsoxcarlos  5259.1 #27 9:19PM

Good morning! Β I'm so sorry to hear lots of people are having a rough time. Β I learned a trick from a character on Lost, Jack Shepherd. Β He tells a story of doing a spinal surgery and tearing a young girl's dural sac and being completely frozen with fear. Β But then he says, when something bad happens and you're terrified, close your eyes and allow the fear to take over, but just for five seconds. Β After counting to five, you open your eyes and do what you need to do. Β I actually think it's good to allow yourself to let it in and feel what's real, even if it's a negative emotion but only briefly--ultimately, you triumph over it. Β I like that trick--letting the fear in helps: I don't think it's healthy for me to deny that it exists.  ✈️🐢 After it's over, I dance πŸ’ƒπŸ»πŸ•ΊπŸ» - Spoonful_O_Sugar  706.0 #324 11:10AM
Praying for others always gets me through my own problems. I keep a list of each of you who have asked for prayer and I pray for your needs. God answers prayers.  - disneyforme  867.4 #255 7:15PM
