I am so very proud of my little sister and her hard work that not only got her onto varsity cheer as a sophmore but also her dedication that has won her and her squad the chance to compete at nationals in Disneyland in March. On the other side to this is that my husband and I will be taking her on her trip...I am not sure how to handle the 5 days I will be spending with the cheerleaders. Any tips   More...

That's awesome! Congrats to your sister and her team. Definitely a once in a life time experience. I never mind visiting the parks when the cheerleaders are there. For the most part they are all respectful and sweet. Maybe I'll see you there, my 16 yr old and 13 yr old boys like going to the parks when the cheerleaders are there πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ - Bassplayerswife  643.4 #324 5:48AM

I am in need of some holiday fireworks viewing advice. my hubby is disabled so standing for long periods of time makes mainstreet impossible, but we want to enjoy the show and the snow. any recommendations? maybe some place near benchs? thanks in advance for any advice:-)

The fireworks and snow can be enjoyed all over main streetand the small wworld mall area. Actually by small world you have more seating areas as well and can enjoy special holiday projection on the outside ride and still get the fireworks and snow. If you wish to do main street the snow and fireworksare cvisiblebut you can also get seating from the jolly holiday, coke corner and plaza iInn if you get in there up to an hour before,. - pikarich  5904.4 #22 11:48PM
Ask a CM for advice and suggestions. There will be benches in front of the castle, but they fill up early.  - JenGwen323  2041.4 #82 11:49PM
I too recommend the small world area. Much more breathing room and plenty of spots to sit (planter benches mainly) - JoshTheJunkyardJamboreer  351.0 #693 2:25AM
Ask the CMs for suggestions. I know they have a few reserved areas for wheelchairs but since Main St is pretty open and you can have the wheelchair anywhere, I don't think the areas are very big. - DLKenCA  2762.7 #53 8:58AM
Actually for fireworks there aren't any sections reserved for wheelchairs.  - IDVandalSkipperCM  2579.8 #58 9:46AM

My husband and I are going to be in the area on mon and tues. we cannot afford to go to the park but plan on spending some time in downtown disney and were considering doing a character dining at one of the hotels. I am wondering which you feel is the best? and which has the better character interactions?

I would recommend Goofy's Kitchen...great selection for breakfast/lunch and always has plenty of characters on hand. - BombFrogFormerCM  1031.7 #188 1:28PM
For buffet items Goofy's Kitchen, to order off a menu StoryTeller's. I have not done the one in Paradise Pier yet. Character interaction for both were about the same. - Lelundrial  711.3 #283 2:14PM

I have been mia for a long time. I'm sorry things are rough right now :(.  There is a light at the end of your tunnel, don't forget that.  Have you looked into a different insurance?   - Linzee  1349.6 #137 12:57AM
We have been looking. All that I have checked into say it is a new experimental procedure so it is not covered. The specialist has preformed 45 of the procedures with 44 of them greatly improving quality of life - MsSnowWhite  310.4 #887 1:02AM

Ok please help me with this. My husband swears that the corn dogs at the corn dog castle are bigger and better than the corn dogs from the corn dog cart in disneyland. I think that they are the same. We have been having this argument for weeks now.

Nope they are better especially the hot link one's - HanLostLeia  1098.3 #174 11:24AM

I have never experienced disneyland with children. My sister in law, who has never been to disneyland, just called and asked my hubby and I to join her and her 4 children, two boys: 7 and 9, and two girls: 11 and 6, at disneyland this summer for 4 days. Any suggestions for me and my hubby. We have been to disney many times, but never with kids. And especially since this trip is probably going to b  More...

How exciting! Kids are sooooo fun at the park! But just be aware they go at a much different pace than adults. Also, their food and drink needs may be different than yours. Summer will be busy... so bring patience along with the kids. You'll need it. Also be prepared that you may not be able to visit many of the attractions you would like. I could not say for sure, but based on the ages of the children, you may have the 9 and 11 yr olds wanting to ride attractions that the 4 and 6 yr olds can't or don't want to ride. Try to make deals, like if the older ones spend a little time in Fantasyland, then the adults will be sure to take them to Adventureland for some more exciting things! One thing I always make sure of while with children at the park is to keep in mind it is mainly their time. They will do whatever the adults decide, so I make my decisions based on what would make the kids visit the most memorable and magical. Have an awesome time! - MickeyFan  1205.7 #153 4:00PM
We've been taking our girls since they were two and three months old respectively. I think the key to a great trip is breaks during the day. Ride several rides in the morning, and then relax for a bit with a snack or beverage, or just take it easy on a bench for a while. It may mean you won't do quite as much stuff, but you will have much happier kids (and parents)! Plus a slower pace gives you the chance to really soak in the atmosphere of the resort! - cmogo  74.4 #4135 4:29PM
My husband and I are in the same boat. We are going with his sister, bro-in-law and the 3 girls for the first time the wk of Feb 14. I know it will be a different experience. I am looking forward to going a different pace and maybe going on different rides than normal (and eating more junk!!) - JoshnSandy  50.3 #4895 6:04PM
