The value resorts are really pretty nice and they are very affordable. Look for the deals. Some seasons the discounts on hotels are pretty big. Sometimes they offer a free meal plan too. You don't need a rental car if all you are doing is the parks within the resort. The bus will get you at the airport and you have shuttles within the resort. - AKMouse

We went at peak time (presidents week this past Feb). We went with WDW travel co. Bought air separately because we had some flyer miles we could use. I signed up for Emails from The Mouse For Less website for comparison shopping and AAA. Depending on when you want to go- take advantage of free Dining Plan when it's offered (could save you over $1,000 for fam of 4). Also hotel discounts in Jan/Feb are usually announced in sept/oct. You don't need a car if you plan to only stay at WDW- free shuttles are awesome. Even if you do want to see Universal or Sea World- taxi's are reasonable enough because those parks are so close. There are deals out there- just keep watching. Once you have your vacation planned- make your dining reservations! You can always change them if you change your mind. I could go on and on. While my mom and I were waiting a 3 and a half hour wait for RSR this man in front of us (he was by himself) kept doing magic tricks! He made our wait bearable and next thing we know we're already getting seated. He was amazing! Brought a smile to loads of faces, really glad we were lucky enough to be behind him and entertained by him 😊
