I just got a Jawbone Up (the company sent the managers all a demo one for free!), Does anyone else have one? I've been using the UP app with it, but know that it syncs to others. Anyone have any suggestions?
(Googles Jawbone Up), I know nothing about it, but it looks really cool. I hope you like it. - Mrs.mouse  420.8 #307 8:15AM
How do you like it? I've been wanting something that helps me track actual calories burned when I workout but everything I like had monthly fees :( - ElectricMayhemMom  312.3 #546 9:48AM

Came home from work and made my favorite (low-cal) cole slaw recipe and thought that I'd share. I'm not sure where I got the recipe - South Beach, Atkins, who knows...but it's easy, low-cal/low-fat and delicious! Hope y'all like it (sorry...don't know the points)! 1 med head cabbage (1-1/2lbs) shredded or thinkly sliced; 3/4 c. low fat mayo; 1/2 c. low-fat sour cream; 2T. cider vinegar; 2 pks.   More...
Sounds good! Thank you!! - vernswifevickie  348.6 #416 6:29AM
Hmmm...I'm not a cole slaw fan, but my husband is--I think I'll make this for him. Thanks for posting! - Spoonful_O_Sugar  436.2 #285 9:25AM

Happy Belated Mother's Day to all my Chub33 friends! I had to work today (got to celebrate yesterday with my sons). Blew it yesterday and vowed to get back on track today and did...until my son brought me home a McDonalds Hot Fudge Sundae! Oh well...tomorrow is another day...
Happy Mother's Day to you too! I also blew it big time this weekend. Having a hard time getting things together this week. - Mrs.mouse  420.8 #307 12:37AM

Had a epiphany today...it's my birthday and I thought of the whole "reborn" thing and how New Year's Eve is the start of a new year, but this is the start of MY new year. I'm going to be positive and not sad and not dwell on evil people and LOSE THIS 30 LBS! (starting tomorrow...tonight I'm eating turkey burgers and onion rings and BD cake and bitching about everything one last time..  More...
Happy birthday! And i'm so happy that you are committed to this goal :) you can do it! - Madi  204.1 #1575 8:54PM
Thx! I know that I've had "epiphanies" before and y'all must get tired of hearing me say it, but the part I forgot to say was that I saw a pic of myself and my son taken last night and said OMG...who's that fat, old lady next to my son?? Time to get serious, and a birthday is a good time to start over! - msdizmaui  519.0 #223 10:46PM
it doesn't matter how many times you have an epiphany, just as long as you make the commitment to start and learn along the way :) You are fabulous! - Madi  204.1 #1575 8:53PM
I hope you enjoyed your birthday. Maybe keep that picture handy to motivate yourself in the future. - Mrs.mouse  420.8 #307 4:02AM
A late happy birthday to you! - Plumiegirl  3344.9 #10 10:19PM
Thanks ladies! I've actually done really well this week! Feels very "committed" (and I've learned that it's harder to give up bitching than food...lol!). - msdizmaui  519.0 #223 12:45AM

Question for AP'ers. What is the discount for the DLR hotels, and do you get the dining discount at the hotel outlets? I'm planning the annual vaca, and it seems that the price for the Grand (no disc) + Deluxe APs is about the same as booking the Package w/5-day Park Hoppers. Soooo it seems like it would be smart to go with the AP option so we'd get the other benefits. Make sense?
The discount for the hotels vary by day & hotel they range from 10-30%. I had my hotel booked with Ap discount & they came out with a new offer that gave free character dining & an extra discount, so my room dropped an extra $200 plus the free dining worth about $140. So just on this 1 trip I saved somewhere around $500. - UTDISNEYFAMILY  184.8 #1810 9:22PM
Awesome! Thank you sooo much! It definitely seems as though I should but the APs! - msdizmaui  519.0 #223 12:44AM
AP's are always a good idea. - Mrs.mouse  420.8 #307 2:07PM
Did you get yours? If no one answers me, maybe you could check the hotel disc when you get home (you can't go to the page on the web site unless you actually have the AP, and the online chat lady wouldn't give me any info!). - msdizmaui  519.0 #223 2:17PM
I did get an ap (deluxe). if you get me the dates ill check prices for you. No problem. - Mrs.mouse  420.8 #307 3:00PM

Went crawling back to Jenny Craig today. It's expensive, but it works (and considering what I spend on lunches and dinners when I'm NOT on a diet, it's not really that expensive). Thank goodness I purchased that lifetime membership!

Anyone else remember this? I just paid $52 for it on Etsy. Crazy? Maybe. But it was my all time favorite childhood souvenir from Disneyland and it makes me happy (and it still glows!). What was your favorite as a child?
I want one of those old maps you could buy from the 50's or 60's, they covered the wall, not sure when they came out but my mom saved me one but it is kind of beat up. Best thing they have now to it are the puzzles. I think if it is something you loved then, it was worth every penny for the joy it brings you!! - secretagentangel  669.6 #154 2:57PM
My fortune! And I still get one every trip I go on. And the maps, I would look at them everyday. - dumbbunny  116.5 #2790 3:06PM

Got the greatest news today...my follow-up MRI revealed that the cyst (that had been pushing on my spine) completely disappeared! I'm a medical miracle! Thank goodness I hadn't let them talk me into surgery! Now no excuses..full steam ahead (exercise-wise, that is!).
I'm so glad you got such great news! It's so difficult struggling with health issues that impact he quality of your life . Here's to exercise ! Cheers !😃 - eviljules  281.2 #725 10:24AM

Just heard a rumor that if you see Woody or any of the TS characters in the park and yell "Andy's coming!", they'll fall to the ground. Any truth to this?
😊 I could see how this is so big. I would love to see this. But some tried it and it didn't work, they just looked and shrug shoulders. So no it's not true. Many have asked but I totally get why it is. I would love for it to be true but I would feel bad for their costumes lol - MarshaMouse  2870.6 #15 8:25PM

I feel so defeated! I lost a grand total of .4 this past week! I swear that I stayed on track. Okay...there was that night that I ate 3 SBD "snack bars", and I guess I did eat too many dry roasted peanuts every night...but geez...less than 1lb!!!!! Someone stop me from eating everything in sight today!
Isn't it frustrating when you feel like you've done so well, but the scale isn't cooperating? Just remember, there could be a lot of reasons why it isn't showing up yet.....water weight, hormones, muscle building....just keep at it and the scale will eventually give in. Stay strong, MsDizMaui....I have faith in you. - D55CR  245.4 #1050 3:38PM
How frustrating. I hate that! Stick with it. Things will balance out. Hugs. - Mrs.mouse  420.8 #307 6:56PM

With all the talk of weighing, I put caution to the wind and jumped on the scale today...I lost 5 lbs since Tuesday!!! The most remarkable part...I learned that even if I messed up (by eating the McDonalds sundae my son bought me on Friday), you can still get right back into it! Seems like simple logic, but usually if I blow it even a little, I give up and blow it a lot! Yay me!
That is the right attitude. Never give up, just do better the next time. You are doing fantastic!!! - D55CR  245.4 #1050 9:27AM
Woot! I've been known to do that too. Good for you getting back in to it. - Fanatic4Disney  258.0 #925 10:06AM

From GNC - a "get it together" kit...14 shakes (mix with water), 7 packets with "water balance", green tea complex and "Burn 60" pills, and 7 "Pre-Diet Cleanse" shots. You're supposed to add 1 (healthy) meal and snacks... wish me luck! - msdizmaui  519.0 #223 8:05PM

This is a pic of the Chicken of the Sea boat taken from the skyway circa 1957. You can see the Casey Jr. name in flowers middle left. It wasn't on a river or lake setting. More like a "pool". Just wanted to clarify.
Ok...I take back. The Skull Rock Lagoon was added in the '70's, so the other pic was right, just much later. Geez I'm old....I still remember the original. Learn something new everyday! - msdizmaui  519.0 #223 12:45AM

Has anyone ever tried the Apple Cider Vinegar thing for dieting? Any thoughts, comments, other "magic pills"?
What's the apple cider vinegar diet? - Mrs.mouse  420.8 #307 2:51AM
A long time ago I did the hot lemon juice in the a.m. with apple cider on my salad at lunch. I also did with very low calories through a diet place. I will still do the juice from time to time its a natural diuretic. The cider did a number on my stomach it was to much acid for me. - sewgirl  340.5 #431 9:46AM
Funny , the girls at work brought that one up today. I personally haven't. Right now I'm drinking the Jillian Michaels detox tea. Let you know how that does next Wednesday as Tuesday will be the 7th day. - ElectricMayhemMom  312.3 #546 12:11AM
