Love that era...in fact, I think that it was the best.  After a long wait, Fantasyland was "new", but all the classics were still there (and the motorboats were my son's favorite!).  I must admit that I miss the park as it was (although I still love it more than anything!).

You worked with a friend of mine, Scott.  He would have been attending UCLA at the time.  - susieQzee  539.1 #313 7:31PM
I remember two Scott's on that attraction...both taller than me (over 6 ft) both thin build but one was a strawberry blonde while the other had brown hair.  The blonde was also trained on Autopia while the other was cross trained on Space Mountain while I went on to Star Tours. - BombFrogCM  666.3 #235 8:39PM
Wow, you have a really good memory!   - Spoonful_O_Sugar  507.9 #343 10:06PM
Those 2 Scott's started about the same time I did on Subs and during our first Christmas I brought Kona coffee to share with the other CMs on closing shift because it was really cold with the wind coming off the water plus we were always getting wet hands from opening the hatches.  I'm still in contact with 4 CMs from that attraction, I'm godfather to one's son. - BombFrogCM  666.3 #235 10:31PM
He was possibly the brunette, although his hair was a light to medium brown.  I saw him working one day, which surprised me, because we had an awkward parting of ways (oh, high school "romance"), and it was too late to exit the queue when I saw him.  That uniform, though...  πŸ’œ  LOL - susieQzee  539.1 #313 11:02PM

I try to keep cash to a minimum since there are ATMs in the park, DTD and the hotels (and the fees aren't that bad).  If I have extra cash...I spend it!
Have both. If you buy something from a cart you need cash. But if you buy from a restaurant or store you can use debit card - brodysmommy  327.6 #654 10:13AM
Thank you for the feedback - Ille-Jandro  3.5 #24151 10:18AM
I prefer to use a card, but I also usually have a little cash on hand--some of the snack stands don't take cards.  And as far as what to bring with you, it's going to depend on your needs.  I put sunscreen on in the car (we go back midday for a break and reapply then)and I bring a small purse with a water bottle, my wallet, sunglasses, cell phone, and lip gloss.  I also bring a few ziplock baggies to put our phones in on water rides (I don't know how well they work, but I figure it's a little extra protection, lol).  I leave a sweater and change of shoes in the car to grab in the evening, just in case (sometimes I do need one, even in July).  If you're going to be there all day without a car to return to, you might consider getting a locker for snacks, sunscreen, and change of clothes/shoes, but I don't find that to really be necessary for us, especially in the summer.  - Spoonful_O_Sugar  507.9 #343 10:20AM
Oh haha, I misunderstood your post-I thought you wanted to know what to bring in the park in general, but you're just asking about debit card/cash, lol. πŸ˜‚ - Spoonful_O_Sugar  507.9 #343 10:21AM

Here's all I could find (most sites mention it, but no one seems to know the origin of it):  A few miles from the Magic Kingdom, someone has planted a very recognizable grove of trees. I'm okay I guess. Still frustrated by my plateaus!   I'm 8 lbs from my 40# goal and it's torture!  I stepped up the exercise (did 4 mile walks 3x's his week in addition to the elliptical and dog walk) bit still only lost like 3 ozs!  How's everyone else doing?

I know it's frustrating but keep going!  - disneyland4me  239.4 #1334 12:42PM
Doing well trying to train 5-6 days a week to get ready for the Disneyland half marathon. I haven't lost any weight I'm must be doing something wrong but that's OK.  - disneyland4me  239.4 #1334 12:41PM
I lost a whole 0.8 last week!  Whoo Hoo!  I've within 8 lbs of my goal weight (4 and I'm back in the 120's!) but it's like pulling teeth at this point....hey...that's an idea.  How much do teeth weigh...lol! - msdizmaui  581.6 #286 8:20PM
Lol, I once grew my hair real long so that I could donate it.  I ended up cutting 15 inches off, and got on the scale the next morning--I had lost a few pounds in 24 hours.  I had no idea how much my hair weighed! It was so funny!  πŸ˜‚   - Spoonful_O_Sugar  507.9 #343 8:49AM
My hair is too short.  Too bad that there's not a blood drive in town today! - msdizmaui  581.6 #286 2:48PM
Ran my best 3 mile time in at least 5 years this morning, so I'm feeling encouraged right now.  How is your training going?  I have the same experience with my weight loss stalling--seems like when I start running a lot and for longer distances, I stop losing.  I don't know why, either.  I could eat less, but I'm starving after anything longer than 10k.  Maybe I'm just overeating.   I think several other people have said they have similar experiences, so you're not alone!  - Spoonful_O_Sugar  507.9 #343 3:56PM
