Lion King 3D looks stunning. sorry if this is a repost but for those that didn't know, before Cars 2, you are treated to the first 4 minutes of the Lion King (circle of life opening) and you get to see what it looks like. Simply amazing. 16 year old film and they have brought it back to life. I cannot wait!
Came across this today while clearing out some old photos. It's about 2 halloweens ago. He's almost 4 now and he doesn't want to be anything disney anymore. He's into super heroes now. This I am sure will be my all time favorite. The wings lit up and everything. :D
Co-worker is bringing me the grey/orange TRON Hurley hoodie! :D Happy day! I knew I should have bought both colors when I was there a few weeks ago but I chose not to listen to indierkgrl. Real nice of her to do this for me while your down there! If you read this...THANKS AGAIN!
Hey MW'ers! I just got back in to Portland last night and picked up my mail that collected while I was gone. I was blow away at what was waiting for me. User "Iyuzmickey27" mailed me one of my favorite Walt Disney quotes and even had it framed! This means a lot to me and I just can't thank you enough! This is what MW is all about. The users here are outstanding.
Happy Eastern everyone! I had an absolute blast these past 2 days at DL! World Of Color blew me away, crowds we very reasonable and the weather was nice and comfortable. I am going to miss DL. And thanks for letting me share the pics and silly posts. It made it all the more enjoyable.
Good mornings. Getting ready for day 2! Yesterday was so much fun and I can't wait for another full day! Lines weren't too bad, food was great and elecTRONIca was my favorite. I'll be there again tonight with indierkgrl and some others. Come say hi if you can. I know indierkgrl plans on a "find us" RAK so look out for that. I'm wearing a pink polo, white Oakleys and blue shorts. I'd love to meet a More...
A personal favorite is the beautifully hand crafted music box
A fun video from 2013, the story behind the music box with Clopin, Figaro and the even watch the Tangled Tower being put into the Fantasy Faire:
Of course, no trip to the Fantasy Faire would be complete without a visit to the Royal Hall. Loved this artist rendition, that's just how my girls are when they enter the Hall. ::sigh::
Took this next part directly from Disney Parks Blog:
“After walking into our main entrance, you will first go through a garden-like setting before entering the reception hall,” said Michel Den Dulk, Creative Director of Fantasy Faire for Walt Disney Imagineering. “Once inside the Royal Hall, guests will discover a beautiful gothic interior with nice wallpaper, wall cresting, wood finishes and chandeliers.”
Passing through a series of spaces, including the Grand Hall, you’ll have the opportunity to meet as many as three Disney princesses, from classic stories such as “Cinderella” and “Sleeping Beauty.”
Dont forget to grab a sweet treat from Maurice's Treats! At the time, (isn't there more now?) the adorable cart featured 3 “Twists” and a new signature beverage: Boysen Apple Freeze.
In a tribute to the historic Carnation Plaza Gardens, a shield over the archway leading from Fantasy Faire to Rancho del Zocalo in Frontierland displays the letters “CPG.”
