I have a knack for being around elderly people that are in distress. Can't find their car, an item in the store etc. Last week I walked out of the busy post office with my hands full. There was an elderly woman hunched over coming towards me. She would push a large package with her foot a few inches, then scoot over and start again. I thought for sure someone would help her before I got to her but  More...

I'm sure it isn't the kindest thing I have ever done. But one thing I enjoy doing, Whether in the parks or at any touristy spot we might visit is to offer to take pictures of a couple or even a group when it is obvious they would be much happier including their whole party in a picture rather than having one of them be the photographer and miss out on being in the pic. It is amazing how happy this can make people. It doesn't cost a thing. So anyone can offer to do this. And it is guaranteed to make you feel happy inside!  πŸ˜Š. Oh. I remember on a recent visit to SF, a man was visiting by himself and after seeing me take a pic for a couple, he approached me and asked if I could take his pic with the Golden Gate Bridge in the backdrop. I may have had him pose for a few more, as well.   😊 - MeridaFan  4254.9 #43 8:58AM
I love that you do this. Most of our family pictures when we are out only has one of us in it with all the kids which kinda stinks for memories. I appreciate this so much because this memory will last a lifetime!! Awesome!!  - sultan  253.2 #1438 9:11AM
I think people really do like that. I like the SF story. And you take great photos, so no doubt these people are getting great memories... no cut off headsπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ - misschurro  9175.9 #12 9:28AM
I do the same thing when we're at the parks! I tell my kids we're sharing the magic and helping to make someone else's trip more special.  I find myself doing it even when we're at other places too. ❀ - TFDland  9.9 #12210 11:24AM
Right?!  TFDland. It's such a simple thing to do. It only amazes me why we don't see more people offering to do this. Nothing better than the smiles on the faces of a young couple from out of country on a possibly once in a lifetime trip, being able to have pictures together rather than her in front of this. And now him in front of that. πŸ˜‚  Thank you for doing this, too. 😊 - MeridaFan  4254.9 #43 12:15PM
What a great idea!  You're like an unofficial PhotoPass Photographer! πŸ˜€ - AngiMouse  488.8 #485 1:37PM
Yes I do that a lot myself. Wandering around alone and I see families I always offer to take photos  the smile on their face is always so worth it. Especially if it is their only trip  - Donald1967  467.8 #523 6:27PM

A while back I sang at my church.  I was a single mom struggling to make ends meet and one Sunday when I went up front to sing there was $1200 sitting on my music stand.  I never found out who gave it to me, but it changed my world for sure. ❀️ - AngiMouse  488.8 #485 8:23AM

I agree completely @MeridaFan.  Sometimes things like this happen at the exact right moment.  Someday I will pay it forward!  - AngiMouse  488.8 #485 1:37PM
A couple days before Christmas after work I was finishing shopping at Toys R Us for my granddaughter, and a young man probably in his early 20's was at the register next to me. I noticed he was having trouble with his payment method,  apparently his check wasn't in his account yet due to the holiday.  I could tell by the toys that were there he had 2 younger kids. He looked like he was ready to cry.  I was thinking maybe this is all they're going to get and he can't even bring this stuff home.  So I went over swiped my credit card and bought them. He started crying and hugged me.He was like are you sure? I can't believe this is happening.  He was so appreciative and it made me feel so good knowing those little kids would at least definitely have those gifts.   - disneygrandma1  1597.6 #4 9:11PM
What a wonderful and kind thing you did. I bet he had so much gratitude and was happy that his little ones would get a Christmas ☺️ - misschurro  9175.9 #12 8:03AM

I juggled my things and somehow was able to grab her box. I walked it in and placed it on the counter. She came over to give me a hug and then planted a big kiss on me too 😊.  - PrincessDuckie  954.8 #229 9:28PM

DizneyGirl with last years subscription you got a small character (slightly smaller than the medium tsums) and one mini attached. One of them had 2 minis attached like this one in the picture. They will only be available in the subscription so you can't buy them in stores. The price includes shipping. - luxkitty  5237.1 #28 6:32PM
DizneyGirl if you search tsum tsum subscription on here you can see pics of all the ones that I posted from last years boxes. There's a few that I didn't post. - luxkitty  5237.1 #28 6:35PM
DizneyGirl I just noticed on the Disney store site that this years subscription will be a little different. You will either receive a small and mini, 3 piece plush set, a plush "movie moment", or a 6 piece micro plush set. So it looks like they made this years more interesting.  - luxkitty  5237.1 #28 7:17PM

In the last 3.5 years, I've lost an uncle, his daughter, her husband, another uncle, an aunt, two grandmothers (same day), my stepfather, and about 13 other people, some of natural causes(age), heart attacks, suicide, cop shooting, friend's relatives, etc. Β 2016 was only threeΒ Deaths. Hoping for zero in 2017. Enough!

Well, you've touched upon something that I just wrote about on Christmas Eve, with the passing of a friend from HS.  I'll take the liberty of just cut and pasting from my Facebook: "RIP Charlie Bryant. When I think back to the short time that we knew each other during high school when I was a freshman and Charlie was a Senior, I remember how Charlie stepped up and helped me to learn how to play trombone. And now as I still play trombone in several groups, I'm again reminded of how nice it was for him to help me out those 34 years ago and how my life would probably not be the same if he had not helped me back then. Goodbye Charlie, you will be missed in more ways than you probably realized." - clawton  457.6 #537 9:23PM
Awwww! Such a sweet tribute! I bet his family loved it. And look at where you are, he helped so much!😍😍😍 - secretagentangel  11073.2 #9 9:33PM
Good evening. Thanks for hosting. This is so very sad. The past few years we have had many close relatives who have left us. It all began a few years back when my nephew lost his life doing what he loved, riding ATVs. My brother was heartbroken and sad most of the time but my nephews kids helped get him through it. A year later my brother fell ill to cancer and soon passed and is now with my nephew. My mom and dads hearts are very heavy and cracked. Just last year my uncle passed suddenly, not sick at all but died of a massive heart attack. For me I think of him always. He was my godfather and the person that got my husband and me to Disney the first time in 1993. It was a truly magical trip and I will be forever thankful for what he did for us. So many special memories and when I walk around the parks and Dtd I often have a memory of when we were there and that warms my heart.  You just never know when your last day will be so live as though it may be. Thank you for this, I know there will be sadness in some of these post but also rejoice and celebration of those we loved so dearly. 😘✨ - mmddgp  1685.2 #2 9:34PM
I'm glad you understood why I posted this. There's no getting around it and a lot of people are sad right now but there's always the hope to see them in Heaven one day. And everyone should try to live as if they could be gone tomorrow. And I need to remember that more. I'm sorry that you've already lost so many relatives. We lost a lot when I was younger because my parents were older and a lot of their siblings died then.  Disney does help a lot of people remember their families they loved! 😍😍😍 - secretagentangel  11073.2 #9 9:55PM
today reminds me of when Princess Diana died,   i remember it like it was yesterday.  and then a few days later,  while everyone was in shock,  Mother Theresa died.  I always felt that Mother Theresa died from a broken heart,  over the shock of Diana passing.  and the humility to not be in the limelight while the world was focused on Diana.  I used to keep a pix of the two of them in my studio.   - MsTikiMermadam  1935.3 #102 10:47PM
My dad died the day of princess Diana's funeral. So it was surreal to me doing some things we needed  to do in the hospital room and all the TVs were blaring the funeral. Princess Diana was a big deal though I think because unfortunately of the way she died and people just loved her. And today's double loss is going to   leave people hurting for a while too. That's sweet that you had a picture of the two of them with each  other. They  both touched a lot of peoples lives.😍😍😍😍 - secretagentangel  11073.2 #9 11:07PM
that must have been so numbing to have a famous funeral and then plan your father's funeral at the same time.  no escape from it all. - MsTikiMermadam  1935.3 #102 11:19PM
Princess Diana was a hard one. I remember I was in the car after a nice beach day with my son and and the news said she had died. We are the same age and I have a son. I cried about her kids and made sure that I would be around from my son.  - Plumiegirl  10817.8 #11 12:59PM

I'm sorry for all your loss. I hope all your family is getting through it all and getting to where they can remember with smiles with the  tears. It's hard enough to lose one close relative/friend but several is especially hard. I hope you all have a very blessed 2017!!❀❀ - secretagentangel  11073.2 #9 12:07AM

It's so awesome that you have pictures from this day! It showed up on my Facebook this morning, I can't believe it's been four years. Such a fun day and we were able to work on two floats and of course it was an honor to work on the Cars land float!! - ShariRenee  14185.6 #6 10:07AM
And you brought the best treats!  Do you remember what you made?  I reminded there was one savory treat and one sweet treat that I loved and wanted the recipes for.  - PrincessDuckie  954.8 #229 5:34PM
Ha ha, people ask me that all the time. I can't remember what I made two weeks ago because I cook all the time.I do know I made zucchini muffins with chocolate chips that year because I had so many zucchinis but I do not remember anything else. - ShariRenee  14185.6 #6 8:31PM

The night before we are going to a Brian Setzer concert and 1/1 we are going to a dinner party. I'm thinking we will ring in 12/31 from the couch πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

Doing what we do every year! Eat Chinese food off paper plates, watch tv and drink yummy sparkling wine out of red solo cups in our Jammie's.  - citainwonderland  121.4 #0 2:09PM
