Going through major Disney Withdrawals... Our Passports expired June 9.... Last time we were in DL was April for spring break... Annual Passport Prices just went up again and my work may go on strike! We voted today but if we strike no Disney for me for even longer 😥 Keep posting MWers I'll live thru all your pictures and posts 😉
Good morning MWers. Just wondering when everyone's spring break vacations are? Planning a trip with my parents and my niece during her spring break. Nor Cal - Bay Area April 1-7. Wanna feel for how the crowds will be. Post locations and dates. Thanks
Any other MWers who ran or will run the Disneyland Half Marathon 2013, sign up for any other races during the year? Disney runs or non-Disney runs? In 2012, I did the DL Half Marathon and the NorCal Tough Mudder. For 2013, signed up for Tough Mudder Tahoe, planning to sign up for DL Half Marathon and looking into the Mermaid Series Sirena 18. Any good training tips I would love to hear from my f More...
Just made lunch reservations for Carthay Circle Restaurant for my son's birthday. I also have a back up reservation dinner for Storytellers Cafe. We've only eaten at Storytellers Cafe (character breakfast and dinner). Anyone eaten at the new Carthay Circle Restaurant? Suggestions, advice, must have, must not?
A personal favorite is the beautifully hand crafted music box
A fun video from 2013, the story behind the music box with Clopin, Figaro and the even watch the Tangled Tower being put into the Fantasy Faire:
Of course, no trip to the Fantasy Faire would be complete without a visit to the Royal Hall. Loved this artist rendition, that's just how my girls are when they enter the Hall. ::sigh::
Took this next part directly from Disney Parks Blog:
“After walking into our main entrance, you will first go through a garden-like setting before entering the reception hall,” said Michel Den Dulk, Creative Director of Fantasy Faire for Walt Disney Imagineering. “Once inside the Royal Hall, guests will discover a beautiful gothic interior with nice wallpaper, wall cresting, wood finishes and chandeliers.”
Passing through a series of spaces, including the Grand Hall, you’ll have the opportunity to meet as many as three Disney princesses, from classic stories such as “Cinderella” and “Sleeping Beauty.”
Dont forget to grab a sweet treat from Maurice's Treats! At the time, (isn't there more now?) the adorable cart featured 3 “Twists” and a new signature beverage: Boysen Apple Freeze.
In a tribute to the historic Carnation Plaza Gardens, a shield over the archway leading from Fantasy Faire to Rancho del Zocalo in Frontierland displays the letters “CPG.”
