A few years ago I saw one get separated from its mom over by the Storybook Land canals. He did make it back but almost got stepped on a few times. I was tempted to grab him to help him back, but wouldn't have been able to. Poor ducklings :(
Looks like this is the first baby ducks at Disneyland this year!!! Make sure you guys help protect them from children and adults alike that think its funny to chase them or try and pick them up..I always follow them and guard them from other guests until they get back to the water and under the fece where they can be protected
- Dave  11243.1 #2 3:41PM
Amen to this. I get so angry when I see guests trying to touch them! Or when I see them paddling around trash in the water. - LaneSparrow316  847.0 #176 3:44PM

I get freaked out because they people don't pay attention and its very easy to step on and kill one of these poor little guys..please do what you can when you see them out in the parks and help them if you can..Even though they are tasty I am quite fond of them - Dave   11243.1 #2 3:49PM
For sure!! After we got off the Jungle Cruise on Leap Day, there was a duck walking around and some guests were chasing it and it was so sad. Someone found a CM and they picked it up and brought it back to the water. It was sad for the poor little duck!!! - caramiapoohAKAface  2897.5 #33 3:49PM

@Caramia - I'm so glad those people found a CM! Animals are so helpless, we gotta protect 'em! Yes, I eat them, but still.... - LaneSparrow316  847.0 #176 3:52PM
There were some at BTMRR a few weeks ago. :) Love ducky season at DL. - flukefan  270.5 #1022 3:53PM
I let people know that ducks are protected under federal law as a migratory species (even if they claim Disneyland as their home). Antagonizing them in anyway is a federal offense. Technically so is feeding them since popcorn, churros and the like can destroy their sensitive metabolic system. - Gia  801.8 #189 3:58PM
Yes some people can be mean, also some children can be too! - LizO  471.1 #387 4:01PM
Uh oh...Dave made me feel warm and fuzzy inside from this comment. - NeverlandTink  422.5 #442 4:02PM
Yes please don't feed the duckies. Unless you have Snails, worms, weeds/grass and fuirt. Please don't feed them. - Bambi.  602.3 #282 4:08PM
I just love sitting by the water watching them. Over by Matterhorn (sadly its a smoking section now) or anywhere in ROA. I always feel bad when I see others chasing them or boats coming at them. - NeverlandTink  422.5 #442 4:15PM
NeverlandTink - You can watch them from the old boat dock in Fantasyland. It's behind where the villains do their meet and greet during Halloween. You can't smell the smoking section and there are always duckies over there! - LaneSparrow316  847.0 #176 4:26PM
You can also see them by hungry bear. - Bambi.  602.3 #282 4:30PM
Dave, how do we protect them in the water from flying swords? - Villescas8  600.8 #283 4:55PM

I understand that kids are interested by the ducks there. But like i told my son the last time we were there that he can look but don't touch. I saw a mother grab one of the baby ducks and brought it over to her toddler so he can pet the duck. A cm saw it and took the baby duckie away..thank goodness. - karshla  68.7 #3852 1:53AM

I don't know anything about musical chairs at DL! Sorry! I would recommend lunch at Cafe Orleans or Jolly Holiday. Naples and Jazz Litchen in DTD are also good. LOL.. It's not just height though, I am 28, and 6'1" ... People think I am 17 or 18 on a regular basis. I'm liking it more and more now though, the older I get!
I left my wife over by the River, closest to Haunted Mansion, so that I could run and use the restroom.  When I came back she was looking out over at TS Island, with her back to me obviously.  So I walked up and put my arms around her and whispered somethin' like "Hey Babe", and she just caressed my arm.  Within 30 seconds, my real wife came up and asked what the hell I was doing... The woman and I both jumped, realizing that she happened to have the same long dark hair and same jacket as my wife, we all laughed a little uncontrollably and eventually went about our day. - TheBudd  357.3 #560 9:48AM

Let me begin by saying, I am 4'10" and look young for my age (27). I was in line with my boyfriend for TOT and a kid near me immediately started a conversation with me about his light up glasses. He must have been about 9. From the video room to the line up before getting on, we talked and he asked me questions like my favorite subject in school, etc. and everyone around had a chuckle because he clearly thought I was much younger. Anyway, while in line, he asks, "So... Who's your best friend?" I smiled and pointed at my boyfriend. He gives me a really confused look and says very loudly, "Your dad?!" At that point, everyone in line starts laughing. My boyfriend and I are the same age. I was really embarrassed. I guess I need to wear taller shoes to Disneyland. 😁 - MonteKristal  310.6 #739 1:00PM

Enjoy looking young! It's great as you get older! When I was 27, I was accused of being a teen mom by my son's doctor. Just the other day I was carded for a wine tasting. I turn 33 next week. - Disneycrazymom  137.8 #2750 10:51PM

My friend and I entered through the GCH last weekend, and we were not hotel guests. We were able to enter, but we had Chappy inspect out bags and wow was he thorough. I had to open my wallet and cosmetic bag, and remove everything from my backpack. My friend had to do the same as well.
Sometimes the first 30 min of entry are for hotel guests only. If it's not busy though, they will usually let you go in if no hotel guests are waiting. - Mimmy  1442.3 #87 12:03PM

Does anyone besides me remember the original side entrance to DCA for PP and DH guests, before they realized that everyone could make it through GC without getting lost? I loved it.  Regular type gate, much easier for CM's, and it was a little out of the way, so it was never mobbed.  I know they closed it partly because of staffing, and then it stayed that way because of security (post 9/11). - ThatDoleWhipKimberly  391.4 #489 2:37PM

The reason they won't have the parade on a Sunday is because way back when, the parade would spook horses tied up outside the churches. Obviously no one rides horses to church now, but the tradition still stands.

I have used devils claw and yucca with *OK* results.. I think i have been told the devils claw can be as roygh on the gut as bute. But i have liked that "bute-less" liquid stuff. I would try those before a feed through glucosamine, to be honest. If its that bad, adequan or a similar injection may be worth a shot. Also, I'd say don't be scared of bute. I know a couple people who have worked in the stables in the past. I was going to earlier this year (did the interview and everything), but I live over 50 miles away and driving for part time work just didn't make sense. Anyway, what's up? - PonyGrrl  265.4 #1066 12:59AM
Horses are wonderful! We have 2 horsies and a pony! Lexi doesn't jump yet. Hopefully in the next 2 years she will be. - Minnis2Society  369.9 #530 7:50AM
I have worked with different trainers and vets and the general consensus is that a moderate amount of bute won't harm the gut as badly as a lot of people say/think. Maybe just give a pro-bio with it. Good luck :) - PonyGrrl  265.4 #1066 4:30PM

Yep, country fan here! I actually just got back from the National Finals Rodeo in Vegas and we got to see Charlie Daniels and Joe Nichols before the show that last 2 nights. What a treat!
Yes - Mouse4life  1150.2 #118 7:38PM
Love George Strait...and of course most all country artists. I do have to say even though I wasnt the biggest fan of Taylor Swift I won tickets to her concert this summer in LA at the Staples Center and drove 5 hrs for it and it was an absolutely amazing concert...it was the one that Justin Bieber showed up at. (not a fan of his) - yellowtonka  241.4 #1324 7:54PM
Just when I thought that at a country western concert you'd never have to see the Bieber show up. Hurl. - splashphotoCM  885.6 #164 8:59PM

Not sure I'd you know this (I didn't LOL) .. Your monthly payments will be taken out on the date you pay the down payment, so if you pay on the 5th, the payment will be taken out the 5th of every month. But if you don't go to the park til the 20th, that's when your AP will expire, not the date you paid the down payment. So yog can buy the ticket online before, and you wont "lose" days on your AP.   More...
you should be fine the next day, i believe it starts the first monthly charge when you use it. the first down payment is due when you first buy it. - chris.  2510.4 #41 11:16PM
Thanks!! And of course I do the down payments but there won't be a problem using it the next day like pending wise? I just don't want to pay on the 24th of December, print out the e-ticket and go to DRL on christmas day and won't be able to use lol. That's what I'm stressing about. - steph122  89.4 #3507 11:22PM
nah it should be good, i did that originally printed out the day after getting it and went to parks same day. - chris.  2510.4 #41 11:24PM

Hmm thanks. :) I'm gonna call and check I think. Just wanna know so if I need to get down there to renew before next Monday or what.
I don't think you have to pay the downpayment again. I remember reading something, somewhere on this app, that it depends on which CM does your transaction. - CAMcakes26  10.4 #8860 8:51PM

Yes - as long as you call them, they'll note it in their system & all will remain the same. - LMAO-Asturi  173.2 #2197 11:01PM
I'm pretty sure as long as its before the expiration date you're good to go. My gfs pass is up on Tuesday and we are renewing it tomorrow at the park - BatteringRam  24.5 #5705 11:03PM
