I taught summer school an just had a wOoping 1.5 weeks off. I start this Thursday, but already had trainings and have been planning on my time off. But when my students ask me what I did this summer, I'll say "One word: Disneyland." haha! Off to change some lives!

Can't be picky when ur on a budget. I worked my butt off to graduate HS, college, and get a teaching job. One of my motivations was to one day have the priviledge of being AP holders. I survived not going to DL for YEARS AN YEARS. but it was sOOOO worth it! It is even more fun when u work hard for it- trust me. Good luck! And if u don't get to go, don't forget- its not the end of the world..I'm su More...
The four major expenses: tickets, hotel, food, and souvenirs. To save on tickets, opt for one park per day in lieu of park hopper. Then make sure you're in dl for a fantastic day and dca for a WOC day. No need to jump around. Hotel, just remember you're only going to sleep and shower there, so all you need is a bed and a bath. Make sure there aren't parking and resort fees, and stay within walking distance to avoid parking/transit expenses. Food: plan ahead and budget. Patinagroup.com has an awesome deal. If anyone in your party has a bday within 60 days before you go you can get a $30 gift certificate. Pack sandwich supplies, share chicken dinners, and eat breakfast (a big one) at your hotel. Finally, souvenirs. Tell your dad that you'll each try to find a pressed penny that is meaningful to you. They can be made into awesome necklaces, bracelets and earrings. At $0.51 apiece, I believe they are the cheapest keepsakes in the park. Except maps, of course. Hope this helps! - LittleAprilShowers

you are very creative, why not ask your parents if you can sell some graphics on ebay and etsy. or some of your old stuff you don't want. take the babysitter course or find a once a week family that needs some kind of help. maybe your parents are just trying to see if you are motivated to earn some yourself too? hope this helps. i was 15 and worked a couple of hours a week in my friends' parent's store. gave me enough funds to play with. - secretagentangel
