We noticed when we were on Screamin earlier it said it will close early due to world of color. Does anyone know what time it normally closes? I think World of a Color is at 9:45 tonight. Any info would be appreciated, thanks!!

Just wondering how crowds have been? We will be at the parks next Friday and Saturday. Can't wait to get back as it's been over 2 years for us now.
When we were there yesterday the crowd index was 91/100 which is pretty busy. It's spring break time so expect crowds. It will also be the first weekend Big Thunder Mountain is open to the public. - missmimi90  1538.6 #87 8:04PM

Hi all! Since Cafe Orleans will be closed during our visit my question is can I get the French onion soup and pommes frites anywhere else? I am so bummed it will be closed as it's my favorite place to eat.

My dates for March are finally showing on the Disneyland Calendar. It does not show Soarin or Space Mountain as a refurb although I heard those would be closed during our visit. Will things change? We will be there March 21and 22. What's the latest on Big Thunder? That is listed as refurb for our dates. Just curious.

Hi all! Do you have to give a credit card to make a Disney dining reservation? How much do they hold on your card? I just called to make reservations for March and heard this via the automated system. Is this new? The wait was to long so I had to hang up. Was just curious. Thanks everyone!!
Yes. They do not hold anything on the card. If you don't show up without canceling in advance, you will be charged a $10 fee per person.  - caramiapoohAKAface  3225.7 #32 2:58PM
This. As long as you don't no-show , or cancel 24 hours in advance then they won't charge you. You don't even need to use that card or anything to pay for your meal, it is merely to hold your table.  - lohofosho  784.5 #200 3:49PM
If you call I don't think you have to. If you do it online, they do take a CC number, and I don't know how much they charge if your party is a no show.  - Sweet_Irish_Cream  3867.3 #25 3:00PM
You have to give a cc if you call. I have had to each time since they added this new rule. But they don't charge anything unless you're a no-show!! - caramiapoohAKAface  3225.7 #32 3:44PM
I was also told that as long as ONE person shows up you won't get charged. So if you have reservation for 10 and 6 people show up, you won't get charged the $40. - DLKenCA  1732.7 #77 3:59PM

Has anyone tried the Storytellers Cafe dinner buffet? Is it good? Can you choose to either get the buffet or order off the regular menu? I have never been and was looking at going our first night in town. Is it good for kids? Any info/ input would be great. Thanks!
I just got back from a trip and had Storytellers Cafe for dinner. It was tremendous! My kids both ate from the menu and I had the buffet. The ambiance was wonderful and the food is very tasty. It's priced less than the other two restuarants in GCH too. Great service too. Highly recommend it. I'll throw up a desert pic I took last week.  - Dolewhipped  64.3 #4014 8:17PM
We go to Storytellers every single visit.  You can order the buffet or something from the regular menu.  The kids menu has a make your own pizza which my minis love to do.  I highly recommend it.  - Ldgsg  208.0 #1782 7:43PM

Hi All! What do you guys recommend for dinner in downtown Disney? Our next trip in March we arrive Thursday and don't plan to go to the parks. I am thinking dinner would be good. Do most places take reservations 60 days out like the parks? What's your favorite place? Would love info and suggestions!
NAPLES IS GOOD - abskid495  22.9 #6051 7:11PM
Will you have children with you or no? Also what budget range are you looking at per person? - missmimi90  1538.6 #87 7:09PM
I recommend storytellers. It's in the grand, has great food for both adults and kids. You can get buffet or off the menu food and it's re seasonable price. - missmimi90  1538.6 #87 7:16PM
Also I believe they have make your own pizza option for younger kids if that's of interest as well - missmimi90  1538.6 #87 7:18PM
My 8 year old always makes her own pizza here. So much fun!  Storyteller's is a really great place for dinner. It's a good place to relax. Although, since you're just arriving, you shouldn't need too much relaxing. Goofy's kitchen is nice, too. But at Storyteller's, you can either do the buffet OR order off the menu. It's nice to have the choice.  - MeridaFan  3429.7 #28 6:04PM

When is everyone's spring break? We decided to take our kids out of school 2 days during their conference week and are coming out March 20-23. We are in NorCal and they don't have their actual spring break until April 21-25. I know it will be busy in March I was just curious when people had break this year.
Actually their break is April 14-18 week before Easter this year.  - mrssumr  70.4 #3875 1:53PM

Hi all happy new year! Quick question. We will be out in March and this is our first time seeing cars land. Should we try to get to radiator springs racer first thing or does that ride have a fast pass? Would it be better to try it closer to closing? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!!
This ride is one of the most popular so I would suggest getting there when the park opens. Head straight to the fast pass distribution and get them. They go quick. Then go straight over to RSR and see if you want to wait in line. If not you always have your fast pass for later. Good luck and have fun!! - WhatTiggersDoBest  323.4 #699 12:06PM
👆 this  - goofydad909  1927.3 #67 12:46PM
The line for RSR fast pass starts llining up as soon as they let you iinside and it sells out quick too. I stand in line for the fast pass then run over to the ride for single rider which is a short wait. Usually I can ride it a couple times back to back that way, then I have my fast pass to return later for one more ride. The ride is a constant hour+ wait all day and night long.  - Polaris  28.7 #5446 12:09PM
If you want a fast pass, you'll probably need to get there early in the day.  The standby line seems to be pretty long on any given day.  Consider using the single riders line--your group will be separated, but you won't have to wait in a two hour line, lol.   - Spoonful_O_Sugar  549.1 #323 12:56PM
As soon as you can get in the park, send one member of your party to get in the FP line with everyone's ticket. The rest of you go get in line. The FP person will be able to join you at the end of the line, up by where they let you on the ride - MelodyMouse  3459.3 #27 12:58PM

Have not been to the parks in 2 years. I need suggestions for good places to eat at California Adventure where we don't need reservations. Any info would be appreciated! Thanks all :-)
If you want some where quick try the cove bar, flo's is delicious!! I would suggest checking out the Mousewait food blog. I have tried so many new dishes by searching this before my trips and I have no regrets. It tells you reviews, prices, and locations. My finance and I make it a point now to try something new every trip. Sigh.  Seems like forever.  - annamichelle  234.5 #1426 10:51PM

The Cozy Cones are quick, fun, and yummy!  I've always loved the Paradise Garden Grill's kabobs, but they've changed the menu temporarily to Mexican, which I haven't tried, but people seem to like.   - Spoonful_O_Sugar  549.1 #323 11:00PM
That ends Jan 5 I believe, and then it goes back. That place is great! - MrsSchnooks  2833.0 #37 11:02PM

Hi all we are planning a trip out Nov 13-15. I have heard the holiday season may open Nov 15 how are crowds during opening day? Would the park close down early the day before for transition? By the time we go it will be 2 years since our last trip so I am hoping this is a good time. Would you recommend a Wed-Fri trip or Thurs-Sat? Thanks for any input it is greatly appreciated.
Hi! Holidays at the parks are beautiful. Always hard to predict crowds. I am sure you will have fun no matter what. I do think that a Wed-Fri. trip might be less busy. Getting to the parks as soon as they open also will give you extra time before it starts getting busy. - RadiatorSprings4Ever  885.8 #175 12:36PM
Agree to coming right at opening. Can usually get a bunch of rides in before it starts to get real crowded in the afternoon/evening - lohofosho  784.5 #200 1:00PM
I am not sure about the holiday opening, but I know in general Saturday is the busiest day of the week there, so I would recommend a Wed-Fri trip! - lohofosho  784.5 #200 12:37PM

It brings tears to my eyes as I read your post.  I am so deeply sorry  for your lost.  I lost my parents a few years ago only months apart.  The pain that the heart feels is agonizing.  It feels like a piece of you has died along with them.  I was their caregiver for almost ten years and you watch the strongest people you have ever known dwindle down.  Please take comfort in the fact that your mother had vitality and enjoyment of life almost til the very end.  She got to see her daughter grow into a wonderful woman and meet her grandchildren.  The people we love most in this world never really "die".  They live on in the people they've touched, in the memories we have created, and in the reflection of you.    What you are feeling right now is absolutely normal.  Every minute of the day, sadness will overwhelm you.  Please take your mother's love and turn it into strength.    Your little ones need you to remind them grandma will always be in their hearts forever.    The love you and your mother shared was a gift.  Please be well.   You are in my prayers.                                                                 - Willierose  2034.2 #58 4:27AM

It pleases my heart to hear my words have helped. Heartache has been too frequent a visitor in my life. I wanted to express to you that life is precious and your mother seemed to have been blessed with such a loving family. Yes in time the pain will lessen, but the heart will always remain heavy from the weight of loss. You will learn to manage that with the love of your family and by surrounding yourself with everything life has to offer. My sisters have been my salvation. They are my strength. We have a bond that even death will never break. I see my parents in them everyday, whether in good or bad habits. LOL. It makes me smile. You will also one day be able to find comfort in the little reminders. Whether its her favorite food, her favorite flower, or her favorite saying, may it bring you a little bit of peace. - Willierose  2034.2 #58 12:31AM
i am so sorry. i can't even begin to imagine what you're going through right now. sometimes you just need to vent and don't know who to talk to, especially when you have to put on a brave face for kids or others. just know i listened/am listening.<3 - nicoleface  1749.9 #75 1:52AM
I am so incrediblely sorry for your loss. I know that nothing anyone says will take the pain away from you and your family. I am praying for you and your family. I know that you feel very lost and broken right now but please know that God loves you. I know it feels like God has left you but He is with you. As hard as it is to believe, this is part of God's plan for your life. You have to go through the dark valley before you get the the mountain top. God is protecting you and your family. Greater things are yet to come for you and your family. God is always with you. He died for you. He adores you. He will not give you anything that you are not strong enough to handle. Remember the good times you had with your mom and know how much she loves you. You will be reunited with her one day. Stay strong and be fearless. God will never leave you or foresake you. Jeremiah 29:11 says I know the plans I have for you, plans to keep you and not harm you. I promise I will continue to pray for you and your family. Just continue to follow God and remember that you are loved. God will never leave you. He loves you. - kayceeb  166.3 #2335 12:19AM
