Hi it's been a long long time since I posted but its now only 7 weeks til we head back to the USA for the LA marathon and our Disney trip. My question is re photo passes. Is this worth getting as I don't remember seeing many photographers on our last trip.

Sure why not?! You can get your photos taken, and then view them online. You don't have to purchase them if you don't want to. But it's a nice option. I just purchased one from our trip in December and am happy with it. Good quality and it arrived within three days, standard shipping. - MousekaNinja  422.4 #594 10:25PM
Yes! Especially the PP+ pass. It's good for all the photos taken at selected rides and restaurants. Just 1 5x7 photo after say, California Screaming would be $14.95. The PP+ is unlimited attraction pics and park picks. Maybe you didn't see many photographers last time because you were too busy taking in everything else, but they're out there. :-) - Donna1988  214.3 #1946 10:26PM
I actually asked a CM about the photographers last week and was told that during the less busy season, they tend to have fewer working and the ones that are mostly assigned to the "official" meet and greet areas like Pixie Hollow and Fantasy Faire. - JustCantWait  1148.5 #183 1:36AM
Yes, absolutely go with photo pass! They take great pictures and sometimes add in fun stuff like a bouquet of Mickey balloons! - MJmouse  367.6 #697 7:12AM

Hi everyone, So I have been away from the app for a long time now but love the new look so decided to come back. Very exciting news. I have booked to enter the LA marathon so we will be making the trek over from New Zealand in March and will be back at DL the week of the 18th of March for 3 days. Yay!!!! Hopefully we will meet some of you then. It has been almost 2 years since we were there.

Bring dl birthday. What sort of birthday cake would you make and eat for this occasion? I am going for a mega castle cake like the ones on my big fat gypsy wedding and chocolate flavored.

So long as its a fun-fetti cake, any design would be perfect for me! Mmmmm!! - AshleyLynn22  791.2 #280 2:06AM

So I hear people talking about flavored popcorn in Carsland. Is there a list of flavours anywhere I can drool over??? Need to tide myself over til march 2013.

Two flavored popcorns daily, such as dill pickle and sweet & spicy. Other flavors include bacon and cheddar, nacho cheese, salt and vinegar. - NickDoubleyew  1094.1 #197 12:30AM

I have a question. Are fried green tomatoes basically fried unripe tomatoes? Or are they a type of tomato

Heirloom variety tomatoes are amazing. Purple ones are so incredibly juicy. - madsdad  1868.2 #109 5:35PM

So I have been thinking about the celebs. Is there a process for the plaid. Can a celeb just wake up in the morning and think I want to go to DL and then rock up and get a plaid or do they need to book one on advance? Also do they generally park in the carpark and stroll in or what???

Celebs get there, snap their fingers then plaids run out to be picked. Then the celeb picks which plaid they'd like, kinda like how Emperor Kuzco picked a bride in the Emporor's New Groove. Lots of tears are shed, but one plaid is picked and they wait on them hand and foot. It's quite the process. - JoeDownTheRabbitHole  403.5 #627 2:14PM
Lol - MissAlice  343.5 #781 2:22PM
I can't speak for DL but my experience when "celebs" visit a place. Their publicist calls the place first, and then arrangements are made. When I worked at an aquarium Pierce Brosnan(sp?) was to visit with his family. His publicist called us first, when we made arrangements for a guard to be assigned to him. The marketing person also made arrangements for them to have a special tour of the place.

I would hate doing that everywhere I go. Maybe being poor has its advantages :D - SteamboatMinnie  310.6 #956 2:47PM

Was just thinking why I love MW as I gave never met any MWers and I think I know why. I first visited DL 18 years ago In my early 20's and had no recollection of it. When we were there December 2010 I had been on MW and obsessively dos things I never knew existed and now getting live updates and photos really keeps it all fresh and alive in my mind. So thank you MW and MWers hopefully we will ret  More...

If you could create a Disney movie based on Disney characters what would it be? Mine would be UP and the house lands in a pirates of the carribean type story with Peter and the lost boys rescuing a whole boy scout troop and getting them safely back home with some pixie dust .... Anyone else think of anything?

I would have to agree with green eyes. A movie based solely on crush and his misadventures would be "radical" - APirate  8.7 #13260 10:25PM
