Last time I was in California adventures and had the Greek sewers for lunch. It had a salad with it but I can't remember what it was called. Anyone remember? It was very good and I want to try and find the recipe for it.
Are the schools down south on break this coming week? My kids are off and I am going to suprise them with a trip down there. The three schools in our town are off but all the other schools in our area just have Monday off. I am hoping it is not totally packed this week.
I'm very excited. We get to sneak down for a quick visit to Disneyland for my birthday. We are going on a cruise over the weekend so we are going down a few days early. It will be our first trip without our kids. I can't wait to not have to push a stroller around the park!!! Only 25 more days!
I'm so excited I only 5 more days and we will be at the park. I spent my days doing laundry and packing my kids! I can't wait to get there and see it all decorated for Christmas. This is our first trip during Christmas!
Does anyone remember around how much the rain poncho's are in the park? I'm trying to decide on just buying the kids rain jackets and packing them or just chancing it and buying poncho's in the park if we need them. I hate lugging around extra stuff while in the park.
Hey guys one of my friends just posted this on her facebook. I know there are some cast memebers on here and I wanted to see if any of you knew if Disney has any programs that might help this family. Like maybe discounts into the park or a meet and greet or anything really. Here is what she posted. This is a little boy from the town we live in.
Hello, My name is Jasen Bracy. I am 5 years old an More...
Ok next question for you southern Cali residents. I know in December here in northern Cali it's cold what about down there? How cold is your average winters? I'm ordering my daughter a couple dresses for our upcoming trip through etsy I'm just not sure if they will e warm enough. Even with tights she would be cold here.
I went and bought my daughter a new stroller today for our upcoming Disneyland trip. I'm finally done with the double stroller!! My husband seems to think our daughter is old enough to walk the whole time we are there. She is three. I know she is not so we are taking a stroller. Three days will kill her. At what age did you guys stop taking a stroller?
So for all the moms with little girls. Do you get your girls all dolled up when they go to the park in the princess dresses or fluffy tutu's or do you just put them in shorts or jeans and a shirt? I get my daughter all dolled up and my husband thinks I'm crazy lol. I have three boys and my little girl is my baby so I love getting her all dressed up.
We are going to Disneyland for Christmas got the first time. I asked my husband for my present can we stay in the Grand California. He said yes make the reservations!!! I'm super excited I'm gonna call this week and book it.
I seen another post about using restaurant.com to get a gift certificate for house of blues. I just went and looked and right now they are offering 80 percent off the certificates so for 4 dollars I got the 50 dollar certificate. That's a huge saving for my family. Anyone who is going soon should look into it.
Groundbreaking for the Temple of the Forbidden Eye occurred in August 1993. More than 400 Imagineers worked on its design and construction. Tony Baxter led a core project team of nearly 100 Imagineers.
Several early concepts were considered for Indy including a walk-through adventure and a high-speed mine car adventure within a temple. To avoid a long queue, Imagineers even considered using Jungle Cruise launches to shuttle guests to the loading area. The team tested key show elements in a Burbank warehouse on a full-sized elevated track that resembled a freeway. This enabled the team to test set pieces, lighting, effects, transport clearances and motion profiles.
To create space for the 0.5-mile queue area and the 50,000-square-foot show building, an area of the former "Eeyore" parking lot was demolished, and the Monorail and Jungle Cruise attractions were rerouted. As I'm sure some of you know, an old Eeyore parking sign is hidden up in the rafters high above the projection room (in the queue). The sign pays homage to the Eeyore Parking Lot.
To watch some scenes from the opening ceremony:
Happy 19th birthday Indy!
Have you been on this attraction? If so, what is your favorite part or scene?
Thanks for reading and watching! Hope you all have a magnificent Monday!
