Last time I was in California adventures and had the Greek sewers for lunch. It had a salad with it but I can't remember what it was called. Anyone remember? It was very good and I want to try and find the recipe for it.
Ewww, sewers for lunch LOL. I think I can get you that recipe. - MightyWhitey  648.3 #166 3:08PM

Are the schools down south on break this coming week? My kids are off and I am going to suprise them with a trip down there. The three schools in our town are off but all the other schools in our area just have Monday off. I am hoping it is not totally packed this week.
As far as I know, some of the schools here in anaheim were off friday, though most are off this Monday for President's day as well. - MsDisneyLove  168.2 #2029 6:09PM
We will be there Tues, weds, and Thurs. I'm taking my 4 kids without my hubby for the first time so I am really hoping it isn't to crazy busy while we are there. - Mrstefer  116.6 #2793 6:11PM

I'm very excited. We get to sneak down for a quick visit to Disneyland for my birthday. We are going on a cruise over the weekend so we are going down a few days early. It will be our first trip without our kids. I can't wait to not have to push a stroller around the park!!! Only 25 more days!
The park's more fun without the hassle of a stroller. Enjoy! - 415beachgirl  469.0 #259 8:56PM
I feel guilty going without my son but then I sit through the entire glorious showing of Aladdin and I'm over it! Enjoy your stroller free visit, mama! - cynDOLEwhip  744.1 #137 8:58PM

Does anyone remember around how much the rain poncho's are in the park? I'm trying to decide on just buying the kids rain jackets and packing them or just chancing it and buying poncho's in the park if we need them. I hate lugging around extra stuff while in the park.

Hey guys one of my friends just posted this on her facebook. I know there are some cast memebers on here and I wanted to see if any of you knew if Disney has any programs that might help this family. Like maybe discounts into the park or a meet and greet or anything really. Here is what she posted. This is a little boy from the town we live in. Hello, My name is Jasen Bracy. I am 5 years old an  More...
i know its for a good cause but its probably better to remove the address and have people text you to get it if they want to help, just my opinion. - chris.  2507.3 #24 11:05PM
Is it your friend who is the mother of the boy? What about Make a wish? Has that been suggested or looked into? I tried to do a reverse address look up for the bank, but couldn't come up with one listed at that address. Do you have the name of the bank by chance? Sorry, I just like to do my research before I pass anything on. Weird that way I guess. Thanks (edited because I wasn't sure I worded everything correctly to not hurt feelings) - Sugarbuzz  46.3 #3833 11:24PM
I was thinking the same thing. I'm wary of those "Post as your status" things on FB - cesium55  529.7 #217 11:27PM
century 21 is where she works in sorry I thought that was a bank. The person who posted it in my renter so I know it is truthful and it has been in our local modesto bee and on our radio stations before. Im sorry if you feel it is a scam I guess I was wrong postin in here. Its not like I was asking anyone on here for anything besides info. This wasnt a keep posting thing I just figured I knew where to get some info for them my bad - Mrstefer  116.6 #2793 11:31PM
I do live in modesto and know the person who is posting it so I didnt feel I needed to double verify. I believe for make a wish it is a process and they just wanted to take him before his surgery kind of a last minute thing. Thanks for the suggestion though - Mrstefer  116.6 #2793 11:34PM
It is the nature if the beast of the Internet that scams go around more freely. So much easier because there is no human contact. Other people have asked the same question for same circumstances. I am not knowledgeable in what Disney has to offer. I believe Make A Wish is just for that purpose; to make dreams come true. I know people find it easier to donate to an organization as well. It wasn't wrong to post for more info, same as I was wanting more info. I hope and pray things work out. - Sugarbuzz  46.3 #3833 11:37PM
I can understand you not know heck I dont know ether thats why I was hoping maybe a cast memeber knew if disney had a program. Again Im not asking for anyone on here to help just wanted info because it is so last minute I knew make a wish wouldnt be able to help in time. - Mrstefer  116.6 #2793 11:42PM
My friend is not the mother of the boy it is her friends son. I do not know this boy personally but my friend does. I totally trust my friend that this is not a scam thing or I would waste my time asking. These are people she knows that are his parents. The person works at 21 century. I can text you the address it was posted earlier but people suggested I remove it. She is a broker for 21 centry and I figured that was a bank but know I realize it is real estate. I did email them about make a wish but I have a family member who had a wish come true through them and it is a long process. - Mrstefer  116.6 #2793 11:49PM
I understand you aren't asking for anyone to give anything. Just wanted to make sure you weren't being tricked. Since its in your area and you've seen it on the news, you're best to know if it's real. I hope it works out for them and that the surgery works too - cesium55  529.7 #217 11:51PM
Here is a link to one of the stories in our local paper. There have been several posted you can search his name on their site. http://www.modbee.com/2011/09/25/1877073/rare-disease-requires-costly-travel.html - Mrstefer  116.6 #2793 11:56PM
I'm a little confused? The article says they are going to New York. Am I miss reading something? - MedievalMickey  662.8 #157 12:04AM
They are going to new york also to get a special chemotheropy. This trip to L.A is for remove a cataract to hopefully restore some sight for now. I believe they go to New york in November for the chemo because they do a special kind there for this cancer. - Mrstefer  116.6 #2793 12:10AM
Oh ok! I might have gotten confused cause its so late and my brain is already asleep! 😂 - MedievalMickey  662.8 #157 12:19AM
No the story is about his trip to new york. I just posted a link to that story to show there really was a little boy and not a scam. They have both coming up in the next few months. Poor little guy. - Mrstefer  116.6 #2793 12:27AM
His "Wish" was to swim with dolphins. So the Sacramento Chapter is who made this happen. It was amazing what the contributions of people to the family was given! First they threw him a little party at his favorite resturant Applebees, where they loaded him up with waterproof disposable cameras, an mp3 player for him and all his siblings to occupy their time while on the plane along with backpacks loaded with activity stuff and ofcourse lots of MakeAWish tshirts and hats for him..they decided that he must go to Florida to swim with the Dolphins at Discovery Cove where he could learn about them as well as swim with them-they flew the whole family out to florida, paid for rental cars for both families(since it was a split home) paid for tickets to the amusement parks(Discovery Cove, SeaWorld and Aquatica)paid for all the food and made sure there was money for souveniers along with all the photos taken at the parks by their photographers and they made sure everyone that was part of his life was offered the opportunity to go including Grandparents and step-siblings..they are an amazing organization which ofcourse couldnt happen without donations.I highly recommend anyone that has the opportunity to have a Wish granted to anyone in their family to do so..it takes the stress away if even for 1 week...he still talks about it and it was 3 years ago. - yellowtonka  237.7 #1138 10:26AM

Ok next question for you southern Cali residents. I know in December here in northern Cali it's cold what about down there? How cold is your average winters? I'm ordering my daughter a couple dresses for our upcoming trip through etsy I'm just not sure if they will e warm enough. Even with tights she would be cold here.
Can't tell you its 100 degrees right now...I don't think we are going to have a cold winter this year. I would suggest taking warm clothes for her to change into during the evening. - MozPrincess  577.4 #190 1:51PM
I went in December, and I too live in NorCal, wear leggins under the dress and a long sleeve shirt, plus a hoddie for night time. It doesn't get super cold. - Princessnicci  27.0 #4526 1:52PM
Los Angeles/Anaheim doesn't make up it's mind very well. We can be baking a few days but chill to the bone on others. Leggings are your best bet. But I know it's rare when it's over 85 during December - MarshaMouse  2871.6 #15 4:23PM
Our winter weather has been sooo outta wack these past couple of years. Best for planning: assume it'll be a warmer autumn day but bring some clothes she can wear under her dresses as the day gets colder. I wear my socks folded down, a short sleeve shirt and pack a long sleeve under shirt and jacket. When I statrt feeling chilly, I pull up my socks, then a few hrs later, I need the under shirt, and a few hrs before park closing I need the jacket. Just like scheduling your meals and rides, you should schedule your wardrobe. - mandigutterrose  156.4 #2206 4:27PM

I went and bought my daughter a new stroller today for our upcoming Disneyland trip. I'm finally done with the double stroller!! My husband seems to think our daughter is old enough to walk the whole time we are there. She is three. I know she is not so we are taking a stroller. Three days will kill her. At what age did you guys stop taking a stroller?
Heck! I still use one  - Kitkat-PINcess  233.9 #1189 1:35PM
My kids are 19, 9, & 7. I miss my stroller because it's the perfect place to store all your snacks, waters, sweatshirts. I say take it as long as the child is light enough to push around w/o the wheels bending lol  - Disneymomblessedx3  317.8 #533 1:52PM
Being able to not take a stroller is great in some ways (less to pack) and we used ours until the kids were 6. But I will agree that they are great to have to put snacks and purchases and autograph books. Now all that goes in a backpack on my back! - chuswo  279.1 #741 12:08PM
My first trip to Disneyland was when I was three and my mom said I never needed a stroller and walked the whole time no problem. We were there for about a week. I think you should leave the stroller at the hotel room the first day and if She really needs It you have it right there:) - brookerly95  123.0 #2684 12:10PM
