First off get the buttons for 1st visit and bday from City Hall. For my sons bday last year we had a bday basket delivered from Mickey to our hotel. Check the Disneyland web page for celebration baskets. It was pricey but he loved it!

We've had great experiences with Priceline around DL and in other areas. Convention Center Hilton, both Holiday Inns, and Marriott Suites are a few examples of hotels we've been placed at for under $50/night. Some do charge for parking, but that charge doesn't bother us. The only one we were a little unhappy with was the Travel Lodge a few years ago, but we entered a low ball price of $30/night on a whim, not thinking we'd actually get it, lol. I've bought the temp. Tattoos that you can write your number on. All kids in our party wear them inside their forearm and we show them disney badges when we get there so they know who is safe to talk too
Unfortunately kids can be very fast and out of your sight in a second. I've had it happen to me where he is right next to me and the next second I can't see him. Last time at Disneyland this happened when getting off the storybook boats. Luckily he knows to stay in place but my heart still sank. Even the most alert parent can get caught off guard. - aidensmama

This is such a serious topic, but I have a slight smile thinking of how we lost my dad this summer...and he doesn't have a phone or remember any of our numbers (he just pushes a # on the landline at home). We found him not long after, but my boys and mom and I all giggle about losing grandpa still! While I never had the pleasure of meeting her she inspired me to complete RAKs in my community. So thankful for her impact on my life and others. Thoughts and prayers to all her family at this difficult time
She will be truly missed and never forgotten..her smile and laugh were so infectious and she was somebody that you just wanted to be around as much as you could. Her positive vibrations just bounced off her to everyone who was around her and her caring and kindness was beyond anyone that I had met before. I don't think you guys really know how much she really did for MouseWait and helped shape this community..I will miss her so much but I am so happy and blessed that I got to know her and call her my friend..She touched so many of our lives in such a positive way that she will never be forgotten and I will forever cherish the memories I had with her and many of you all....my thoughts are with her loving Husband E818, her Brother Shangz and the rest of the Dahulament clan that loves her so much... - Dave

Still, hours after receiving the very sad news of her passing, I am at a loss for the right words... She was a treasure to our family. She blessed us in HUGE ways with her beautiful friendship. The impact she had on this community of friends was nothing short of amazing. It's the only Disney movie I've never finished watching. At out the parts I've seen I love the dancing hippos
I will always have fond memories of my grandma taking me to see Fantasia when I was around 8. So when Disney rereleased the movie in 1990 I took my husband who I was dating at the time to see it. I have no idea about which scene is my favorite. I love them all. What I remember most about this movie is putting the tape into the VCR, getting my 3 babies their pillows and blankets to watch it, and the next thing I knew was 2 hour naps for all of us. I still have the tape, and can't wait to share it with our grandson. - Sugarbuzz
