Hi everyone...what better people to ask but you guys. I was wondering if anyone has spent Christmas Eve and or Christmas in Disneyland? Was it worth it? Was there any special character things going on those 2 days? My family and I are thinking of doing that this year, but not sure if there's anything different on those 2 particular days.
We've spent many Xmas eves at DL in past years, before they blocked it out that is. It's even more magical with all the beautiful lights and Xmas spirit. I highly recommend it! - debbiev  59.3 #3589 8:26PM
I spent Christmas eve last year and it was well worth it. mickey and friends come out in their pjs to say goodnight. If just feels more magical. - Bamdiz  9.5 #6929 8:28PM
That itself is really special. It's also not that crowded. I have dozens of photos from that night. Not to be missed if you are here. - Tom  3881.0 #7 8:31PM
I just posted a photo I took that night. - Tom  3881.0 #7 8:41PM
I spent last Christmas at Disneyland. It was crazy busy but I enjoyed it anyway. Hey, it's Disneyland :) - VeloMouseGirl  549.7 #203 8:29PM
We went a few years ago for Xmas day & loved it so much we are going to be there again this year! It wasn't very busy Xmas day & it was wonderful w/ all the decorations, parade, snow...& EVERYONE had the holiday spirit! It was like one BIG family - visitors, CMs, Mrs Claus, & all the characters. - toniasmith  263.4 #888 9:32PM

My husband and I were thinking of getting another puppy and not sure a boy or gir yet, but what are some cute ideas for a Disney dog name?
When I choose animal names I always yell them out loud. Just to make sure I don't look rediculous walking the neighborhood yelling for said pet. 😜 - SueBayou  2012.0 #34 4:01PM
like naming a child: whisper the name, shout as if you are at a park and say the WHOLE name as though they are graduating from an Ivy League - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint  1802.6 #42 4:06PM
Lol, that's exactly what we did! Cause you know you'll be yelling that name a lot for the next 10-15 years! We joke that our dog's middle name is "NO!" - Spoonful_O_Sugar  436.3 #285 4:09PM
So true. Also choose one that doesn't sound like"No!" - My_HappyPlace  65.6 #3489 4:10PM
When I was very young I named our dogs Heman and Shera. A few days later my parents and I went to the local lake and my mom had to call the dogs. She was so embarrassed that she and my dad changed their names immediately. - missyhidy  242.0 #1092 4:19PM

My brother-in-law wanted to name his dog 'Grandma'. 'Grandma, get off the couch! Quit pooping on the floor. Bad girl!' - PrincessKristin  776.6 #124 9:56PM

I like dug!!!!!!' - dug_one  1431.6 #55 3:49PM
We almost named ours Dug, but it just didn't fit him once we brought him home, lol! - Spoonful_O_Sugar  436.3 #285 3:50PM
Aw. I can't bring myself to get another dog after I lost my first one. Too painful. - Jacqueline  546.7 #205 4:06PM
Dug's definitely a hit or miss type of name depending on the dog! - Jacqueline  546.7 #205 4:07PM
Aw, yeah I understand--we lost our first one last summer (it was unexpected, and he was only 5). I love our new little guy so much, but I definitely spent some time soul searching over whether or not we were ready for another :) - Spoonful_O_Sugar  436.3 #285 4:27PM

From an early comment it brought it to my attention to ask...has anyone has there pet stay at the Disney Kennel and if so what's your opinion of it? Please help us decide to do it or not?🐶
We've used the kennels several times. Very clean with cage type kennels. They give your dog water and food ( or you can bring your own). It's $20 per day and you have to check them out within an hr of the park closing. The CMs do not handle the dogs so you do have to periodically go and take your dog out so they can take care of "business"! There is a small yard in the kennel area ( with a big, beautiful mural of Lady and the Tramp). We've taken our Skullie for a short walk in the promenade area. Just be prepared for people stopping and wanting to pet your dog! Dogs are allowed on the MF trams (not sure about TS buses since we've never parked there with our dog). - Gia  785.7 #121 8:24PM
Yes, we have used it, and we're very happy with it. It's very convenient and clean. It is a kennel, so it's loud and your pet is kept in a confined area. You will need to bring vaccination records and they require you to return every few hours to walk and play with your pup. It wasn't crowded the weekend we came, but they do recommend that you arrive early in the day to ensure that you can board your pet. Also, your dog is allowed to ride the tram from the parking structure (which is really fun!) and walk through security and the Esplanade. It's wonderful to have the whole family together! - Spoonful_O_Sugar  436.3 #285 8:22PM
Thanks for the info!!! - disneylovin07  5.9 #9186 8:28PM

So we are planning a group trip for my hubbies birthday next year...any suggestions on a hotel that you liked for a group rate or experience?
the grand! It's a must  - MarcoInTheAz  598.0 #184 10:08PM
I agree with Marco1 the Grand is the best - DoomBuggy61  261.6 #903 10:10PM
I've been lucky enough to stay at the Grand before, it is very very nice, the last few times we stayed at the Paradise Pier. I couldn't pass up the deal we got on the vacation package. I was happy with the Pier. Less expensive and still able to enjoy the perks of a resort hotel. I've also stayed at the Best Western Park Place Inn, right across the street from Disneyland and that wasn't too bad. We saved some money, but made up for it in the park. :-) good luck on your planning. - TigerLily76  256.1 #946 10:48AM

What does everyone think will be added to POTC or should be added when it closes for its refurbishment?
Does it have Blackbeard already? I saw a video on youtube with him but it was at WDW. - Starr  549.9 #202 11:08PM
They should make it back tp the original... Don't get me wrong I love the movies and jack... But i miss the old ride. - Pintraderswife  458.5 #265 11:09PM
I thought I heard they were just upgrading the animatronics. I like the mermaids idea though. - DisneyRose  240.8 #1104 12:02PM
I would love it to be a little more Jack Sparrow...I love the mermaid ideas I just hope that they don't go way off what it is already I love that attraction a lot. I haven't seen it closed this long in a while. - disneylovin07  5.9 #9186 4:54PM

I have such a hard time to sit and watch Disney movies if I don't have a trip upcoming cause it only fuels my fire to go more if I don't...does anyone else suffer from this to?
I'm the same! Especially when on MW. It's so nice to see the pics from the parks, but it makes me want to be there everyday, which I obviously can't do:( - giddy4disney  146.4 #2347 7:47AM
We watched toy Story, Toy Story 2, Up and Some of Aladdin this weekend...totally fueled the fire! To make things worse, my sister Tataandbeyond is in the park right this very moment :( lol - MommaSquared  10.3 #6670 10:05AM

Its too early for sporting break yet. I know that there are usually like cheer compititions on the weekends in one of the hotels during this time. We saw then when we stayed in one last year, can't remember which one it was though. Of try priceline - ThatHondaGuy  43.5 #3896 9:11AM
