Hmmm. So if a Crowd Index of 20 out of 100 translates into a two-hour wait for Radiator Springs Racers, does this mean we can expect 10-hour waits this summer when the index nears 100? Can't wait!
Uhh, no... - BCC  4640.6 #5 10:44AM
Nah. In the past few days, DCA looked like a ghost town (see my photos) while everyone and their mother was in line for RSR. - RadioMaverick  526.9 #218 10:52AM
They need to slap those mothers! - meridafan  1035.1 #83 10:56AM
Nope. RSR is always always always crowded no matter what else is going on in the parks. - MissMolly  693.7 #143 10:57AM
The crowd index is for the entire park... Not just that one attraction. Since its a newer, big ticket attraction, there will be longer lines while others among the park will be a walk on - SPandEvLover  782.6 #120 11:12AM

Why does Disney let Tinkerbell fly precariously above Sleeping Beauty Castle during the fireworks but refuses to bring back the flying carpet in the Aladdin show?

Are the 80z All-Stars still scheduled to perform at Tomorrowland Terrace or have all their shows been canceled for the evening because of inclement weather?

How many of you "cheat" by jumping into single rider lines with your entire party? Can't really say I blame you. According to MW, the line for Radiator Springs Racers is 135 minutes long, but single rider is just 7 minutes. I'm no math genius, but I know which one I'd enter.
I'm telling. - vincentchase  640.6 #169 10:41AM

Is the MW Crowd Index broken? It seems to be stuck on "84" for the past few days for both D-land and DCA. The wait times don't seem to jibe with an 84, which suggests the parks are pretty crowded during a week when virtually all kids are back in school. What gives?
I'm still stuck in '84. Time for the LA Olympics man. - ScooterMike  1959.8 #35 2:17PM
You know, I've noticed the index always hovering around 84 and it seems to be off a lot. There are days where 30 min is the longest line and it's in the 80s. - Sarafina  398.6 #335 1:31PM
I'm wondering the same thing. I don't think DCa is at 84 if RSR is only a 55 minute wait lol :). - kss4tink  216.8 #1396 1:32PM
could just be a glitch or something. Remember that is based on averages from previous years so it might be that. - TikiJOSEsWingman  329.5 #476 1:41PM

Hello, all. Does anyone know what Disneyland's official policy is when weather threatens outdoor performances? For example, rain is forecast for this Saturday through Monday. It would seem as though officials should have time to move, say, all the bands performing in the evenings at Tomorrowland Terrace to an indoor venue that otherwise wouldn't be used, such as the Golden Horseshoe. Seems like a   More...
The "Tech" side of things makes moving some shows difficult. There can be a lot of sound, lighting and other effects that are hard to move from one place to another on short notice. But as BBM said, the effort is made when ever possible. - BalooTBear  904.4 #97 10:44AM
Yes, they do use the Golden Horseshoe if the weather permits. They also use it for the Plaza Inn birthday celebrations. At night, theyll sometimes move Elvis to the GH, which then us CMs get a free show working next door - BaseballMickey_CM  2835.0 #16 9:51AM
Ah, thanks for the info. Do you know if it's only Elvis who gets moved to the Horseshoe, or all the bands slated to perform? - gerardlim57  12.2 #6178 9:56AM
I've only heard Elvis, in my experience. You'll have to wait until that day. Sorry - BaseballMickey_CM  2835.0 #16 9:59AM

It seems like a simple solution would be to install a rain-proof canopy over Tomorrowland Terrace so that the shows can go on. Just saying. - gerardlim57  12.2 #6178 11:19AM

At the risk of sounding sacrilegious and ungrateful, how do I disengage the "Mousewait Pulse," which I don't find all that useful and takes up a large amount of real estate upon launch? Am I the only ingrate who feels this way? Please discuss.
I can't imagine it being anything but helpful for those in the park, Which is the point of MW. And I am looking forward to having it on my next trip. I have no idea how you would disable it. - cynDOLEwhip  744.1 #137 10:59AM

Why are there so many little girls dressed as Disney princesses at the parks but practically zero little boys dressed as Prince Charming, Peter Pan, Aladdin, Flynn Rider, Beast, Prince Naveen, Darth Vader, Pinocchio, Donald Duck, Woody, Buzz, Dumbo or Mickey Mouse? Why doesn't Disney charge a premium for New Year's Eve, the way they charge extra for all those Halloween trick-or-treat nights in October? If ever a day was justified to limit crowds, December 31 is it. Disneyland clearly is ground zero for new year's parties in the OC, as evidenced by all the postings of ridiculously long lines and photos of Occupy Sleeping Beauty's Castle!
Why are you giving them ideas? - BCC  4640.6 #5 11:25AM

Anyone else get the sense we won't see a Disneyland fireworks show for a really long time after an employee apparently barely escaped from being burned? It's been months since an Aladdin show had to be cut short because of a malfunctioning flying carpet. As far as I know, the Aladdin show still doesn't use the flying carpet, which is unfortunate. Here's hoping the fireworks show, which is a true h  More...

It's absolutely horrifying that these accidents had to happen in the first place. But at least now all safety measures can be re-evaluated to make sure things like this never happen again. Yeah we may lose some excitement in a show here or there but providing for the safety of everyone in the long run is far worth missing out. These accidents could have had far worse outcomes and both CM's are very lucky in both instances to have walked away with what little injuries they did receive. It's sad that we learn best form someone's misfortune but at least newer and better precautions will be in place now so everyone guests and CM's can enjoy the shows. - Cinderellamomma  293.5 #652 10:47AM
