It was our last full day in our hotel. Went to that other park to visit Harry Potter Land and have some frozen butterbeer (among other things).

Today was good for me.  I posted a pic of my camera on IG for national camera day and the official Canon USA account liked my pic and now it's getting lots of likes and comments on it.  As for this 4th of July weeked, I'm having family come over so we're just gonna a small family BBQ, light a few fireworks, and watch a movie. - SorcererD91  4022.1 #41 9:57PM
! That is awesome! Especially as you're #teamcanon! That must have been awesome! What was the photo if and was this on IG? Will your cousins be there all weekend too?! - secretagentangel  6923.1 #17 10:23PM
My cousin from Hawaii is here from Friday til Sunday.  Then another cousin arrives from TN and is staying with us for most of the month. - SorcererD91  4022.1 #41 10:34PM

That sounds like a nice relaxing weekend. We can do fireworks here but it upsets a few veterans in the are and my animal family too. The veterans are putting up signs to remind people combat veterans live in all our communities and to let them know if you'll be releasing fireworks. I'm glad they're ping that. Have a great fourth!  - secretagentangel  6923.1 #17 9:20PM
No fireworks in our area. Too close to the mountains and with the fire danger no need for them. Although some idiots still do them - Goofytom  2766.8 #54 9:44PM
HI all, I'm  late again. Passes are now blocked so it's time to visit my other theme park, Las Vegas. The biggest difference between DLR and LV is I have a chance  to come home with more money  than what I left with.  Have a great Independence Day weekend everyone.  - richiii3  1603.3 #113 12:44AM
Well I hope that happens for you when you go. Do you just go to casinos? We had a houseboat one year on lake mead and we had so much fun.  - secretagentangel  6923.1 #17 1:12AM

Scooby-DOO and Danger Mouse!!

Flintstones, Scooby, Wait Till Your Father Gets Home, Tom Slick, George of the Jungle, Fat Albert, Josie and the Pussycats, yogi bear, speed buggy, Speed Racer, grape Ape, schoolhouse rock. I remember we had to have our chores done before we could watch.  - PrincessDuckie  921.9 #205 11:01PM
Of course all of the Sid and Marty Kroft shows. Fun times  - PrincessDuckie  921.9 #205 11:03PM

PrincessDuckie, I love your cartoons list, but I'd love to add Super Chicken! I don't know why, but I always had to watch the theme song intro during every week cartoons otherwise the day was not as fun! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜¬πŸ˜‚ - Catski23  29.5 #6274 1:36PM
Catski23 thank you!  There were a few more I was going crazy trying to remember them. Super Chicken was one of them! - PrincessDuckie  921.9 #205 3:11PM
Ha ha, PrincessDuckie! Always happy to help a fellow MW'r out whenever I can! Now, I think we need some cartoon stickers for our collections; Tom Slick, George of the Jungle & Super Chicken would be awesome! 😻😻😻 - Catski23  29.5 #6274 3:41PM

I used to could play the recorder. I got really good with The Bear Necessities. I played the clarinet in elementary school for a little while. In high school I played the flag (color guard) and danced. I took dance classes in college years ago, too. I have a hard time reading notes, I can play if I see the note letter, but if I'm reading sheet music, I have to count up or down the scale.

Hands down, Goofy! He's always up for a good time and doesn't pretend to be something he's not.

Hello! Yes I'm still up. 115 here😳.  I have a craft room also, actually scrap booking but haven't had the motivation to do it in a long time and now it has become the overflow room😁. Of course if I could be a character it would be mickey. Walts original buddy, would love to know walts thoughts. But second would love to be the fairy godmother, so I could grant wishes to come true. I was off today after having a long week and weekend at work. Took in a couple of grandkids games tonight, it was a beautiful night. Stayed up for stickers and only bought the castle, was hoping for something DW but not tonight. Have a great night friends✨ - mmddgp  1098.5 #7 10:22PM
115?!!  You must be in AZ. That's crazy hot.   I love that you would be a fairy god mother!  I have a feeling you are a fairy grandmother to those grandkids of yours.  - Ilovegoofy  77.3 #4102 10:28PM
Whoa, 115Β° is way too hot!!! The Fairy Godmother would really come in handy to grant a wish of comfortable coolness for you. - DarthTinkerbell  918.4 #208 10:33PM
Well I meant it was 115 in the morning and I'm still up and wishing I was sleeping. I have grandkids coming in the morning. Need some shut eyeπŸ˜‰ - mmddgp  1098.5 #7 10:36PM
My craft room becomes the overflow room all too often. I feel your pain! - Thumper13  516.7 #431 10:37PM
In my craft room I actually make costumes of sometimes Disney characters. We cosplay and compete at conventions like comic con. I've made many Star Wars characters - R2Me2  64.0 #4438 12:17AM
R2Me2 that is so cool! I can only imagine how fun that would be to make so many neat costumes. - DarthTinkerbell  918.4 #208 12:21AM
That would be so cool to make costumes. I admire those that do it is so amazing. I used to love to see many years ago in school, I should have kept it up. Have a continued fun time  - mmddgp  1098.5 #7 4:40AM
I'm late! Just got back to Chico from helping my mom. She's doing so well since her surgery! Anyway, I would love to hang out with Donald, Goofy, Bambi and Thumper, Tigger, Peter Pan and Tinkerbell, the mice from Cinderella, the Cheshire Cat, and definitely Mary Poppins!!! πŸ˜€ - sheridanrabbit  254.3 #1360 10:59PM
I'm so glad to hear your mom is doing well! You have a bunch of characters you'd love to hang out with. My daughter was mentioning how much fun the Cheshire Cat would be to have as a friend. He would definitely cause a lot of mischief. - DarthTinkerbell  918.4 #208 11:10PM
Ok mwers, my oldest son just got home from work so I'm going to go chat with him for awhile. Have a great rest of the night! - DarthTinkerbell  918.4 #208 1:21AM
There is that strange word again, "friends". I spent my lunch hour yesterday getting a bit of a touch up on my tattoo. - Lelundrial  730.6 #281 8:03AM
How did your tattoo heal up? Was there much touch up,that needed to be done? I need to get in and get my next one done. I just can't figure out where I want it. - DarthTinkerbell  918.4 #208 11:43AM
This one healed differently than my others. My others itched like crazy. After I went back to taking showers, after taking baths with my leg hanging over the side for two weeks. That itched a bit, but that was it. The scabbing was very thin, and seemed to take forever to come off. He just needed to touch up the pink in the ears. There was also one spot on the cloak that needed more color. I talked to my artist about my next one. Originally I was going to get the Mandolorian symbol, with the Slave I. I also want to get my dolphin covered because it wasn't done right. Now I am aiming for the Emperor Stitch on my left leg so I can be balanced. I will get that done after the DL runs. - Lelundrial  730.6 #281 12:18PM
My hubby has an awesome Mandolorian sign on his calf. It took forever to get it done, but the detail in it is amazing. - DarthTinkerbell  918.4 #208 12:31PM
I will be getting it on my upper arm, so there is only so much space there. I will have to see the magic my artist can work. I was originally thinking of having The Slave I inside the symbol. Now I am thinking it will look better with the Slave I up front and the symbol behind it. Then on my other arm, a Jedi Starfighter with the Jedi symbol in the back. - Lelundrial  730.6 #281 12:54PM

I've been waiting for this day!! πŸ’™ Donald's got the sweetest disposition, never starts an argument, never shows a bit of temperament. He's never wrong, always right, would never dream of starting a fight, and gets stuck with allllllll the bad luck. πŸ’™ - WonkyPilgrim  581.3 #369 6:20AM

I have a Goofy lava lamp that I absolutely adore!

I have a Mickey necklace that my mom got me at Disneyland on my very first trip, back in 1976 when I was 3. It's Mickey's full body in his red shorts on a little gold chain! I love to see it in my jewelry box and I'm thinking I might replace the chain so I could wear it again! 😬😬😬 - Catski23  29.5 #6274 9:24PM
Catski23..sounds cute - makeitbluesaysmerriwether  211.6 #1912 9:38PM
That sounds beautiful, because it's Mickey but also because your mom gave it to you!  - secretagentangel  6923.1 #17 9:42PM
Thanks, makeitbluesaysmerriwether! It's a little treasure that I just love! Hoping you are having a Happy Birthday!" πŸ˜¬πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‚ - Catski23  29.5 #6274 9:57PM
Yes, secretagentangel - it is especially special because it is a keepsake gift from my mom! πŸ˜¬πŸ˜‰β€οΈ - Catski23  29.5 #6274 10:00PM

I had a nice couple hours at DL today, lunch with Garry at Pizza Port and some shopping. My #1 Disney collectibles are my memories of my time there as a kid. Sitting inside Pizza Port looking out over Tomorrowland, I imagined the Tomorrowland of the 50's, with the flying saucers, the rocket to Mars, Innerspace, and the skyway. Feeling very nostalgic today. - debbiev  1384.4 #135 9:59PM
debbiev...what a wonderful day! - makeitbluesaysmerriwether  211.6 #1912 10:04PM
I just started feeling that way with all these memories! How fun to have seen all  that. You should write it all down for others to remember one day!  - secretagentangel  6923.1 #17 10:37PM
Well my friends... Thanks for stopping by! Please feel free to hang out more and talk, I'm going to sleep! I'll catch up with any comments I missed tomorrow! Sweet dreams and God blessπŸ˜‡ - secretagentangel  6923.1 #17 11:56PM

You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

We've known several people like that, but convinced them to come to DL with us, and we helped them change their minds, and see it in a different light.  Lots of people have had less than stellar experiences at DL for various reasons (esp before DCA was around and before Fast Passes), and those things understandably stick with people.  But when we show them things like how to navigate crowds and use FastPasses efficiently, how great a 2 pm power nap at the hotel can be (rather than trying to over do it and go open to close), options for food other than $12 mediocre at best hamburgers, and even the option to sit down and have a beer in DCA, they tend to rethink their initial assumptions.  Not necessarily a reason to throw in the towel if it's important to you and she's open to reconsidering.  Obviously if you didn't click overall, then I wouldn't worry to much about it, lol - Spoonful_O_Sugar  633.6 #337 2:15PM
Your right I've just never had anything the best experience at Disneyland thank you for the advice  - mjpdisney67  42.3 #5269 2:49PM
Excellent points, people here have differing views on different things at the parks. I think the Monsters Inc. ride is lame. Others find it adorable. Ask for the person to accompany you on one visit.  - Lelundrial  730.6 #281 3:13PM
Maybe second date at Disneyland ..... She needs to experience the park for all it has to offer, and with fresh eyes  - carminaire  858.4 #226 1:13PM

Lol. If you know, then you know.... Some people just don't get it SMH  - therealJackandSally  299.6 #0 3:08PM
To each their own, but not a promising start if Disney is important to you. And maybe a sign that she's a bit of a fuddy dud.  - redsoxcarlos  3344.2 #46 4:56PM

If you don't mind the distance, the Best Western Meridian Suites is usually inexpensive because it's not directly across from the parks.  It does have a shuttle/ART pick up directly outside the lobby/pull up zone.  Includes daily breakfast of hot cakes, sausage, bacon, cereal, etc.

I'm not entirely sure how cheap you're looking for but I really like the Anaheim Marriott Suites and Hilton's Homewood Suites (Anaheim Convention Center). The former is usually the cheaper of the two. - BAMBAM  694.1 #0 12:48PM
Me Tropicana it's inexpensive clean comfortable beds and Is right across the street from the entrance - mjpdisney67  42.3 #5269 12:51PM
We stayed at the Anaheim majestic are very pleased The rooms were nice had a little bit of themeing  pretty lobby friendly service - disneychu  165.9 #2538 6:53AM
Okay so we have been many a times and stayed on the Disneyland "strip" (hotels on harbor) and we like the red lion, close enough to walk but right next to the toy story lot if you want a ride. We also have stayed at the clarion, right across from the red lion. We have also stayed at the hojo in Fullerton, actually super close to Mickey and friends parking, it would only take less than 5 min to drive and park. Another option is the Aryers hotel, near angels stadium but closer to Disneyland, we have hoped on the double tree shuttle to Disneyland which the double tree is across the street. Good luck on finding a hotel price that is for you! DM me if you have any questions! - PrincessDaisy_FU2Rcm  350.7 #702 7:12AM
