#News- Part of the newest segment of Limited Time Magic, from March 18-24, guests will have the chance to hunt for special hidden "eggs" themed to Disney characters at DCA and then record them on specially designed "Egg-perience" park maps. Maps will cost $4.95 (no AP/CM/DVC discounts apply) and will be available to purchase at Elias and Company, Radiator Springs Curios, Tower Hotel Gifts and Trea More...
Oh how fun!! This reminds me of the Disney Afternoon maps that you would have to go through and get stamps from different stations. Who remembers this? - EpicDio

Its with a map and finding the "eggs" around the park (with stickers). - BaseballMickey_CM 2806.5 #16 5:42PM
no, kinda like hidden Mickeys :) but seem easy and fun to spot from the pictures that were posted on here( but that are now being asked to wait to share until this Limited Time Magic is over so that others may enjoy the experience.) - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint 1773.1 #42 5:44PM
No. The eggs are bolted down. You buy a map with stickers to represent each egg and redeem that for your prize. - JustCantWait 779.1 #121 5:46PM
#NEWS For Limited Time Magic: From now until March 21, you can vote at the Disney Parks Blog to determine which of the rarely seen Disney characters will be visiting with us here at Disneyland park for Long Lost Friends week! There's a LONG list to choose from here: http://tinyurl.com/bx5ahp3
And not to sway the vote, but OMG Scrooge McDuck and Ludwig VonDrake!!! - JustCantWait

Ready for another RAK? This will end tomorrow 10/2/12 at 4pm.
I have 2 seats on my tour of the Dream Suite on Wednesday afternoon 10/3/12 that I set aside for a MW member + guest versus 2 MW members. If you are alone, then you pick your MW compadre.
You obviously have to be going to the park to win, so please consider that. I'll meet you there and you can join my little group when we go in More...
please please please add me!!! that would be one to check off the bucket list! thanks so much for doing this! - nicoleface

RAK has officially closed. I am putting everyone's name in a spreadsheet, along with their MW scores, adding all the scores rounded to the nearest whole number, and choosing a random number with a random number generator between 0 and the total of all the scores. The number that is generated will be go down the list and be attached to a name, weighted by the scores. That name will be the winner. - FairyGodfather

I actually typed it out a little wrong. If someone has a score of 1000, they have 1000 entries. A score of 3 would get 3 entries. There were a total of 62000 entries based on everyone's combined scores. The winnder was 29537, which was one of HpplyEvrAftr's 218 entries. Clear as mud now? - FairyGodfather 58.7 #3584 4:43PM
WOW! Computer brain power to think of that. - aprilinjune4 380.7 #353 4:51PM
I uploaded the picture, so its on a separate post. The winner was MrsStrawberryGuy through the kindness of HpplyEvrAftr, who of course has seen more of the place than anybody else. I may still hide under the bed, though. - FairyGodfather

Been having an intense craving for Big Thunder Ranch! (not a live photo) I will be attempting to recreate the coleslaw dressing this weekend. Can't wait to be back in the parks to have some great food!
This is the Chicken Quesadilla from Storytellers Cafe. It's not a lot of food, but it's delicious and the fresh guacamole is outstanding. At $8.59 It is a good alternative to the Whitewater Snacks nachos which are $9.99. The nachos previously were one of the best values at the resort, but since they greatly reduced the portions, the Whitewater nachos are not the deal they once were.
That looks delicious!! - Willierose

Hi everyone! I am planning a trip for next year to the Walt Disney family museum in San Fransisco. I was hoping someone might have a recommendation for me on a hotel in the area. I have been looking online and while a lot of the places seem great I am not very familiar with the area so I am hesitant to just choose one off a list! Thanks 😃
The Marriott down town and the W hotel are nice. If you want to stay by Fishermans Walf the Holiday Inn is actually nice. - TheGreatBigAl

Found this awesome full color home movie of Disneyland from 1957 on YouTube. It's very clear and not grainy like many of the older home movies and TV programs of DL. Check out the way the park was decorated for Christmas back then. It pales in comparison with what is done now. It's also interesting to see I-5 and Harbor Blvd in the background. There is an empty field across the street from Disneyl More...
This was RAD! I especially love seeing the park guests and their dapper clothing and suitcases! Thank you SO much for sharing this ScooterMike! ::high five:: - Duchess_SMK

I totally agree! Best one I think I've ever seen! - Duchess_SMK 3253.6 #11 10:51AM
It is great video quality but they added a modern sound track. - MightyWhitey 648.3 #164 10:55AM
It was obviously shot with no sound and the effects were added. It's still cool. - ScooterMike 1959.8 #35 11:12AM
So I wasn't going crazy hearing the entry chime. whew! - cesium55 529.7 #216 2:12PM
Amazing! I loved seeing the thing things that have stood the test of time! It makes me sad that there are so many things that I never got to experience that Disney had to offer because I wasn't around and it makes me wonder about what kinds of things I will be telling my children about some day. - tiggertwin

especially the autopia without tracks! how fun would that be! - OhanaPhoto 1413.9 #56 1:53PM
You mean how scary that would be?! Yikes! - Duchess_SMK 3253.6 #11 4:31PM
Wow that was awesome! Seems Disneyland was just as crowded in 1957 too! - ShannonAzevedo
