Just curious since I'm on the east coast now... Is there or will there be a WDW MW?

There is one  - Mrsblue  693.1 #318 12:47PM

So, So Cal residents! We are beginning our cross country drive from Wa to SC starting 3/11. We are taking I-5 down to I-10 and I was wondering, realistically how long will it take to get from Redding (our first stop) to Indio? Mapquest says 10 hours, but I don't think they factor in traffic... And to make this Disney related, we are going to WDW for my belated Bday present after we get settled in  More...

No, our next "hotel" stop is in Indio. We are moving to Charleston, SC. We have to take the long route due to weather. Although, I'd love to get to stay in CA so I could get to DL more often! - Luckyducker  9.3 #270 8:52PM
Sounds like us but we are going to MI. Drive safe. We are doing WDW in mud march :) - TinkTinkTink  269.1 #34 8:56PM
Can you trailer for 12 hours without a horse break? Do you have a two or a three horse slant. I live in norco with horses, if you have problems it's two hours before Indio - Bullseye  6881.5 #18 9:38PM
We'll take 30 minute breaks when we get gas and water, so I added 2 hours for that onto the 10 hour estimate. We've got a 3 horse slant LQ and a 4 horse stock. So 2 horses in each so they move around a bit. I looked again and the place I made rezzies for is in Cabazone? I thought it was Indio, but I was off a bit I guess... - Luckyducker  9.3 #270 9:46PM

19 days! Does anyone else have preDisney trip traditions? We take my Daughter and her friend who goes to DL with us to the most recently opened Disney film the night before we leave. We are torn this year though, Tangled or Tron?

That's awesome! How old are they? - SPandEvLover  4840.6 #30 9:05AM
My daughter is 12, her friend (more like a sister really) is 14. - Luckyducker  9.3 #270 9:07AM
I'd probably go for Tron then  - SPandEvLover  4840.6 #30 9:15AM
What a great tradition! - MinnieMau5  158.2 #2693 9:41AM

I am seeing all the pictures of the crowds and I'm wondering... We will be there 12/18-12/23, are these the crowds we should expect? We've done Xmas at WDW, and although it was crowded, it wasn't the wall to wall people shown in these photos... Also, there isn't a Very Mickey Xmas party at DL is there? We really enjoyed that at WDW.

I think because of these crowds Disney will bring Mickeys Very Merry Christmas party to DL. I know I'm gonna be attacked now  - UppityEmpress  786.9 #10 7:51PM
That's the week of Christmas, so. would expect crowds. Ecpecially since kids are out of school by then. We don't have that Xmas party here. You'll have a great time, crowds or not!  - iFramedRogerRabbit  1957.6 #96 7:51PM

I reserved my WOC package! We are doing Ariels grotto with a 9pm preferred seating ticket. So, do we have to fight for good seating within that section? And, how early do you have to be there to get a good seat?

for our show we didn't have an issue. we arrived an hour prior and sat in the holding area (awesome that it's the wine bar place) until they told us to stand. then we quickly stood up and went towards the front so we'd be able to secure our spot in the preferred viewing area. this time we are doing the picnic lunch because the quality of the food does not justify what we paid. - iRunDisney  75.9 #4199 1:32PM
You will not need to fight for position in the preferred seating area. - BillE  474.8 #494 1:53PM

Please help settle a bet; last time we were in DL, I swear I saw a live cockatoo in a cage in the upstairs window at the jungle cruise waiting line area. I looked again the next time we walked by and it was gone. Hubby says I'm crazy. Is there sometimes a bird up there?

I don't know. Leaving grad night I am sure I saw a lobster looking thing crawing across the Frontierland bridge.  haven't seen anything like it since....and my husband also says I'm crazy.  - Sweet_Irish_Cream  4409.9 #37 5:09PM
I've never seen it. You probably are crazy, regardless of the answer.  - Nickelnorm  113.7 #3485 5:10PM
Was it the feathered kind or was somebody just giving the bird - Nickelnorm  113.7 #3485 5:23PM
I'm sorry but iv never seen a real bird there. Out by rainforest cafe yes jungle cruise no - MelB  108.6 #3583 5:26PM

I'm new here, but have been reading for the past week. I'm a little scared that I'm going to post in the wrong place! I was just wondering if anyone knew if they are planning on running the WOC during the Xmas season?

I don't know the answer to your question but I do want to welcome you to the lounge! :) - CAdreamer  98.8 #3745 5:36PM
Hello and Welcome to the lounge. Take your shoes off and stay awhile. I am not sure the answer to your question either - sorry! - Dreamseeker  527.3 #439 5:37PM
