“If ever there is tomorrow when we're not together.. there is something you must always remember. you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. but the most important thing is, even if we're apart.. i'll always be with you.” ~Winnie the Pooh
Trying again. Im leaving to Maui next month and I'd like some in put. What are the things I must do while there. I've never been. Also to where do I go for super unique gifts not the same old touristy stuff. Thanks aging for the advice.
So my mom met a fellow Disney nerd today and told him about MW. He didn't know about it and she couldn't explain it all so he gave her his email and I sent him the info. I love that my mom recruits for the MWA. She even showed him the MW sign and told him to do it to Maynard. Lol
Just got home from the premiere. Loved every minute of it. We were supposed to sit in overflow but ended up being chosen to sit in DL. Not going to spoil the movie but I did love it!!!!!! Action from beginning to end. Laughed more in this one than past ones. Loved the new style 3D glasses. Came home with popcorn buckets, blankets, 3D glasses that have POTC logo and memories that will last a lifeti More...
I was informed that my seat for the premiere will be in the overflow section, theater in DTD. So I guess it will showing in two spots tonight. I'll still be able to do the black carpet tho. I'll post a pic so MWers know what I'm wearing.
Yesterday my friend posted a pic to my fb that read "Disney dorks check this out". She received a box from the Disney company promoting the new POTC Movie. Inside it had the coolest crystal skull decanter. I posted the pics to Flickr. I'm hoping she'll have an extra tic for the premiere. Fingers crossed and enjoy the pics.
Mr. Disney was one of five children, four boys and a girl. He was the fourth born Disney son. He was named after his parents pastor and friend Walter Parr, a preacher at St. Paul Congregational Church. The pastor, in turn, will later name his son Elias, after Walt's father.
Most of Walt's childhood was spent on a farm in Marceline, Missouri, where he began drawing, painting and selling pictures to neighbors and family friends. In 1911, the family moved to Kansas City, where his love for trains really developed. His Uncle, Mike Martin, was a train Engineer who worked on the route between Fort Madison, Iowa, and Marceline. Walt would later work a summer job with the railroad, selling newspapers and snacks to the travelers. To read more about Walts love for trains

To watch a short biography of Walts life:
Walt and Lillian Disney with unnamed friend, London, 1935.
Walt Disney in my opinion, is a wonderful example of the American dream! He represents: imagination, optimism, creation, and self-made success in the American tradition. He brought us closer to the future, while telling us of the past, it is certain, Walt Disney was a great man! He and his brother Roy co-founded Walt Disney Productions, which became one of the best-known motion-picture production companies in the world! Disney was an innovative animator and created the cartoon characters we all love to watch today. :) He won 22 Academy Awards during his lifetime, and was the founder of the magical playgrounds that ties us all together, Disneyland and Disney World. Had he been alive today he would be 112 years old! Happy birthday Walt! Thank you so much for believing in your dreams! You are a true inspiration.
In honor of today, it would be fun if we all mentioned our favorite quote from Mr. Disney. I'll go first, I have many, but this one always sticks out:
"I've always been interested in the past and history and I think it's vital."
Thanks for reading and watching! Hope you all have a terrific Thursday!
