I found a srcitizenspaceranger in Vegas! He was passing through Vegas and stopped for a quick visit and to give Billy a Stitch pin. Thank you! Billy talked about the Disneyland photos all the way home.
I received this care package in the mail yesterday. Thank you MouseketeerforShort! I really appreciate the gifts! This brought a big smile to my face! I can not wait to return to DL! I really appreciate all MWers for keeping the magic in my life right now! It's been a very rough few months for me and being able to read through post and see live pictures helps!
This is not my usual post but I'm asking for pixie dust and prayers. Mr Vegasbrat is having surgery at 7 this evening. It's a minor hernia operation but he's had some heart issues (dropping enough he stayed in icu 3 days before baby was born). So please keep us in your thoughts.
Look who I found in Vegas today! Sr citizen space ranger-- he was passing through and had the 10th anniversary Lilo and Stitch pin for lil Brat. He also got to meet lil Rose and visit for a few before continuing his journey. Thank you for the map and newspaper.
Thank you for all the pictures! I'm missing DL big time. But I do have good news we are having a baby! This is helping me through the contractions! Lil brat is excited baby sister will be here soon! It just seemed like yesterday I was announcing my pregnancy.
Lil Brat and I went to check out the new outlet store here in Vegas. They gave us Mickey ears. I usually find better deals at the North Premium Outlet store. This one was a little expensive. This will be the last baby bump photo it's time for this lil girl to get out! Lol
My family and friends know how much I love Disney! I wanted to share my baby shower cakes. The pink and white Minnie cake was from the family shower. My coworkers got me the Minnie Mouse cake. They were both wonderful!
I wanted to share some photos from last night. We went to Disney On Ice and now I'm really missing Disneyland. I also threw in a photo of lil Brat hugging his sister before the show. Had to get momma some ice cream!
Hello everyone! Sorry for the random drop in but work has kept me BUSY! Got great news today! For being a diabetic mom to be, my doctor is proud of how I've kept my numbers under control. We had an ultrasound of our lil princess today and they found no birth defects with her heart (major concern). We most likely will be seeing her around 36 weeks. They won't let me go full term. Lil vegasbrat is g More...
I've been missing Disneyland and driving my husband nuts! So he took me shopping and I found some cute outfits for our lil princess. We are so excited! My lil guy helped me pick them out. The bottom left corner will be her coming home outfit.
Look what I got in the mail today. I also got the matching port a crib. Makes me feel a lot better after my sad news that I won't be returning to Disneyland this year! Now to wait two more weeks to find out boy or girl.
Groundbreaking for the Temple of the Forbidden Eye occurred in August 1993. More than 400 Imagineers worked on its design and construction. Tony Baxter led a core project team of nearly 100 Imagineers.
Several early concepts were considered for Indy including a walk-through adventure and a high-speed mine car adventure within a temple. To avoid a long queue, Imagineers even considered using Jungle Cruise launches to shuttle guests to the loading area. The team tested key show elements in a Burbank warehouse on a full-sized elevated track that resembled a freeway. This enabled the team to test set pieces, lighting, effects, transport clearances and motion profiles.
To create space for the 0.5-mile queue area and the 50,000-square-foot show building, an area of the former "Eeyore" parking lot was demolished, and the Monorail and Jungle Cruise attractions were rerouted. As I'm sure some of you know, an old Eeyore parking sign is hidden up in the rafters high above the projection room (in the queue). The sign pays homage to the Eeyore Parking Lot.
To watch some scenes from the opening ceremony:
Happy 19th birthday Indy!
Have you been on this attraction? If so, what is your favorite part or scene?
Thanks for reading and watching! Hope you all have a magnificent Monday!
