I am a veterinary technician who gets called nurse by my doctors and clients. I love my job. I scale and polish teeth, I monitor anesthesia, I manage the x ray machine and take x rays, I can place an iv catheter and urinary catheter, I can draw blood, draw urine, and vaccinate your pet! I went into this field because its challenging and fun. Add me please. I am just like a bunch of types of nurses rolled into one. - Viktorius

No problem! Thank you for this RAK! @PK, I actually didn't go to school. I have a great doctor who allowed me to shadow his lead technician for a while, soon afterwards I was doing it on my own! Certification works very differently in AZ. Good luck! Do not add me...I already have this pin...but I was a public health nurse for Adult Protective Services and now I'm a labor and delivery nurse. I originally became a nurse for job security. I fell in love with it when I realized there is no bigger reward than helping someone through trying times and being a support by connecting someone with the resources they need. Being an advocate for someone is the best job ever. There is a reason we are yet again the most trusted profession

I wanted to do something that helped people feel better because we all go thru some kind of pain at some point. I just went thru mine (2001) and someone helped me. So i paid it forward.
