Good Morning! This day in Disney history July 17th, 1955 @ 2:30pm. TV crews, Walt Disney, Art Linkletter, Ronald Reagan, Bob Cummings, the Mouseketeers, Thurl Ravenscroft, California Governor Goodwin J. Knight & over 28,000 guests witness the opening of Disneyland! Opening day had it's fair share of hiccups; Including a food shortage, traffic jam, a gas leak in Fantasyland & even a piece of a wind More...
Awesome! This is probably the best History post ever! Only because It's Disneyland's birthday of course! Thank you for taking the time to share this with us SMK! - PrinceTeaJack

Since it’s now official that Cars Land and Buena Vista Street are now open, I can now post my review online. I’ll try not to give away the entire experience because I know a lot of you haven’t had to chance to explore Cars Land yet, but here’s more of a general view of the new land. I’ve also been sort of quiet about my experiences in Cars Land, prior to the opening, because there is s More...
Bravo!! That was great!! Thanks so much for this. And wow! That you kept it in so long. Thanks again! Can't wait to visit! - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint

Thanks for your thoughts, BBM! My family and I attended the preview on Monday and, something I'd like to add- the imagineers did a a fantastic job thinking about the visitors' experience. There was SHADE. All the queue areas were well shaded (A/C in Luigi's!). I had stopped to buy a hat on BV street because I forgot mine and thought I would bake over the course of the hot afternoon in Cars Land... But we didn't! Another note on the shops on BVS- they were wonderful! So much merchandise I had never seen! They were spacious and carpeted and the ceilings in the toy shop changed colors! Big thumbs up. My final comment was how friendly and excited all of the CM's I encountered were. I am so excited for them, CA Adventure's future as a park, and our wonderful Disney! - MoonWillow

So good to know!! Besides running out of things to do in CA before, it was always so much hotter than DL. It's like they knew this and made it better! 😄 - PeachKay 310.8 #571 10:51AM
Thank you! I've never been too excited about CA but I can't wait to explore it in December now! - Aurora1111

Something I love about Disney is the fact that even the people who work there get just as excited (if not MORE excited) about new lands/attractions at the parks. I also love that you said you couldn't wait to see how guests would react to the changes! It's kind of like when you take a friend whose never been to Disneyland/DCA and how you're watching them react to what their seeing for the first time. Great review! I hope you get as much joy watching us experience it as WE will undoubtedly get from actually experiencing this new look for DCA! - PumpkinKing

We bought APs for the first time this year..... it's liberating to just show up at Disneyland and not pay for parking or tickets. It feels good to get discounts on meals too. If things get crowded, we can just walk across the way to Cal Adventure.... no extra charge! - mistereeyore

When my nephew was about 3 or 4 we used to catch him in full conversation with absolutely. He was so focused on something it looked like he was making eye contact with someone. He started doing that while me and my sister and brother were in the room and asked him who he was talkin to. He said "it's my friend Razzum" We had him describe him and he was wearing red shoes, a blue ripped shirt and black pants. Oh and he said Razzum had HORNS!!! We freaked out and ran outta the room. We still hope it was just his imagination! - MrsJackSparrow

When I was a young teen I had a recurring dream of a man standing by my bed. He would talk to me for several minutes and then vanish. I had this dream 3-4 times a week for several months. I could never remember what he said to me. The last time I had the dream he said something that made me afraid and I woke up screaming. Never had the dream again. Then several years later my oldest son was around the same age and he told me one morning at the breakfast able that he had been having the same dream for several nights and he described the man I used to dream about exactly down to what he was wearing. My son only had the dream for a few weeks and then it went away. He could never remember what the man told him either. I never told anyone about that dream. - Eraf61

After research, I've come up with this so far as a MW back story. Nobody knows who Erin is. Pirates will hit on your wife. Vampires are creepy. Dusty thinks he's awesome and is in a band. Coaster is number one. Did I get it right anything else big I missed? I don't know why I find this so interesting.
REMINDER# Starting Sep 17- Oct 31 it's Halloween time at Disneyland. Here's some friendly advice to help you when at the park. This time of year the parks get super crowded Fri-Sun. Try and get to Disneyland early as possible to get on SP Ghost Galaxy and get a fast pass for later in the evening. Why? Because they run out of fast passes by 4 to 5 in the evening because of the amount of people goin More...

I have a question for you all on the Aug 28 super meet up? Some of you know I did a scavenger hut some time again for a limited edition MW shirt that LadyM had won. Congrats LadyM. I'm thinking about doing that again on the meet up. This time to winning item or items will be inside a locker on Main Street and I will hide the ticket with the combo and locker number. At about 1:00 I will send out th More...
Super Meet up Aug 28 We will meet at Coke Corner aka Coasters Corner from 10 to 11 am. If you get to parks early and like to get your own FP that's ok. We will have a full load for BTMR, TOT and Cali Screamin. Lunch will will be provided by DL but the only thing is that we have to pay for it . So let's have a full fun day and close the parks down. We all need this so badly. More...
