Dahula and shangz and I had a convo about this when we walked by the dtd amc. I agree, Polk, the title is bad. First, John carter is the name of Noah Wylie's character on e.r. Second, it tells you nothing about the movie and actually sounds th complete opposite of the ads. My understanding is this: based on book by Edgar rice Burroughs (author of Tarzan), John carter is a civil war soldier who gets transported to mars (?!?!?!).
