when is everyone's spring break start this year? Hope everyone has happy new year and let's make 2015 a great year!

My next breaks are MLK Jr. on Jan. 19th,  Presidents week Feb. 16-20th, and Spring Break March 29-April 2nd.  Heck yeah, I'm counting!  LOL  Being on break these past two weeks was heavenly.  Sure, I miss my students and I'm eager to see them tomorrow morning, but the calendar looks very good!   - susieQzee  554.5 #321 3:51PM
I go back Jan. 12. I'm loving it. Wish I could have made it to the parks this break.  - minniemonika  123.3 #0 4:54PM
For San Diego unified, starts March 30 and goes through April 24. Some year round schools have had their break cut short. - Lelundrial  498.4 #378 4:19PM
That's a good break. We're not year round, but kinda wish we were - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint  4703.6 #20 5:07PM
we have spring break the week before Easter, so I believe that's March 29 or 30. That's up here in sacramento  - brodysmommy  388.4 #517 2:19PM
Our Spring Break runs from March 30th till April 6th. - LuvsTigger  993.4 #162 2:24PM

Have a question for all my mousewait friends! For those that make little pieces of art, cards, bows that have mickey heads, or symbols similar to those of different characters; have you been told you can't by the disney company?

Nope - Sugarbuzz  168.5 #2303 9:30AM
Never heard of disney saying dont. Why you ask? - grumpyinphx  230.6 #1496 10:07AM
All Disney is copyright but they have allowed licensing of their products and characters.  And some don't even get permission,  go to downtown and see allthe wanna be .I ddon't think they come after you and I know there have been some issues in Floridafrom daycare that tried to use ccharacter on their sign , but as as far as I know ow many people create crafts and bows without any problem - pikarich  3337.2 #31 10:28AM
If You give it away for  "personal use" it is supposed to be ok but using any disney graphics or designs, and selling it, it is a $25,000.00 fine per item. It's why we don't put anything disney on the merchandise we sell for MouseWait. But that is a double copyright problem there, using disney to promote a company.  That is investigated highly. People use graphics off the internet and sell them on their crafts, are they supposed to? No but do they all get fined? Not that I know of. I have been told they have an anti-copyright team of detectives. First they send a warning, then they fine and confiscate product. They did a raid last year at the Costa Mesa swap meet but busted mostly purse sales and clothing. They do  check in DD, but most of those companies are licensed by disney to sell there.  - secretagentangel  1325.2 #104 12:15PM
Oh, and to answer your question I know of several being warned by disney. Depends on what,  and how, but if it's just things you make, and it's more art based on disney and you give it away, you shouldn't have a problem.  - secretagentangel  1325.2 #104 12:18PM

A few of us are thinking of doing a quick trip on Saturday. How have the crowds been? I know it is holiday season so expect busy but hoping not crazy. Any info would be a huge help!

My wife and I visiting the parks soon and we have never eaten at the Carthay Restaurant. Should we make reservations or do they accept walk ins? Also, is there a dress code for the Carthay? Thank you for your help MW!

Ok. thank you for the feedback. We are celebrating our 10 yr anniversary so I think I will be calling to make reservations in the next few minutes. - Mickey_Badge  246.5 #1287 9:13AM
Just to let you know. If you make your reservation for about 8:40ish and request the north balcony?( the one facing Hollywood and Buena vista st. It makes for a Fantastic firework dinner. And they also pump the music thru the speakers. That's will be for our next trip 😊 - mini_MINNIE   1022.2 #156 9:24AM
Reservations are always good, but they do walk-ins too. The most I've waited is 20 minutes on a busy day. Whatever you are wearing in the park is okay for the restaurant, it is in the park after all. If it were outside in the general public I'd say jacket and tie/nice dress would be appropriate- but since it's in the park nobody expects that. Enjoy. - Firelt  228.6 #1523 11:03AM

My wife and I will be flying into Sna airport to celebrate our ten year anniversary. Can anyone recommend a shuttle or car service to pick up at the airport and bring us to the Disneyland hotel? Thank you for your help MW!

Yes! We just did this last week. We took SNA shuttle. You make reservations on line or you can call (949) 586 4347. It is 8 dollars per person per way. And they will let you schedule a round trip for 16. It was easy to find when you get out of baggage claim just cross the street at the light and go all the way to the end. It says ground transportation and there is a guy in an orange vest. Just say you made a reservation with SNA shuttle and they point you to the right van. There were a few others in the van with us so we did make one or two stops before getting to the hotel, but they were all in the Disneyland area. All in all definitely worth the 8 dollar price. We had to leave straight from the park to catch a flight on the way back to we took a cab just to be safe, but if you aren't in a major hurry I would recommend taking it back too. Again for 8 bucks ya can't beat it! - evilqueensmistress  285.1 #918 7:17PM

So I have just booked our flight for my wife and I to visit the park the week of June 10th for our 10 yr anniversary. Two days in the parks with no kids! We are extremely excited. We have never stayed on site before. Which hotel do you prefer, The Grand or Disneyland Hotel?

They are both great. Its a hard choice. I like the grand a little better because of the balcony in the room and the short walking distance but sharirenee makes a great point. Be sure to let the cms know its your anniversary when you book your room, they usually do something extra for special occasions. - Twitterpated  266.8 #1091 11:23AM
Especially for no-kiddo getaway, no doubt about it - The Grand. - tdashgirl  320.1 #718 10:26AM
Depends on what you're looking for. The decor of the rooms in the Grand is rather plain to me, it's like many other such hotels, but maybe you like hanging out on the balcony in the morning and proximity to the parks. If you get a park view room, you might be able to watch WOC. You could also book services at the mandara spa for some pampering. Disneyland hotel is special for it's disney magic. The headboard and the pool are fantastic. View-wise, you might be able to see the fireworks, I think. - bluefairy  643.3 #263 1:32PM
Thank you for all of the ideas. After doing some reading we are also going to throw in Paradise Pier into the mix. We want the magic of disney in our stay but also throw in some extra little things. - Mickey_Badge  246.5 #1287 1:48PM
I've never been in a regular guestroom at pp, only the suites, so I can't comment on the room itself. However, nice views of dca (and WOC). You can walk across the street through the grand to get to dtd and the parks. - bluefairy  643.3 #263 2:12PM
