Yay! So glad you are free from exercise restrictions now. What a relief, huh? Take it slow...it takes time but you'll gain your strength back. Great job with no weight gain...AND you even went to Disneyland and didn't gain! WOW!
I call that "practicing maintenance"....lol. I think it's actually quite an accomplishment to go through a major surgery, recovery AND a vacation with no weight gain! Good job!! - vernswifevickie

I have had enough "practice weight gain" so maybe I can "practice weight loss". I do like your "practice maintance". - Mrs.mouse 420.8 #306 8:18PM
That's wonderful--glad you are feeling better! 😃 I haven't gone out in my bike in a long time. I need to get out there, the weather is so nice! - Spoonful_O_Sugar

Have a wonderful time!! We did that tour a few years ago. But now they've added Walt's apartment, so we want to do it again. - vernswifevickie

Still on target with my points. It's been an adjustment to not eat in the parks. Best rescue is a small side salad when in DCA on saturday from paradise pizza & pasta. One Ghiradeli's chocolate square is 1.6 points so its my small doable treat plus it's free. Down 2 lbs this weekðŸ‘👠- Plumiegirl

Great job Plumie! I love the automatic portion control of having one free piece of chocolate! Congratulations on the 2 pound loss....that is great! - vernswifevickie 350.2 #411 4:35AM
Sounds like you had a great week. 2 pounds is great. - Mrs.mouse 420.8 #306 10:36PM
I was horrible last week. I haven't felt good (we're getting a lot of "vog" from the Big Island). I hit up the comfort food. Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of my life.... - msdizmaui

Ahhhh....comfort food... How it lies to me every single time! It promises to comfort me but all it does is make me feel guilty...lol. Glad you have a good attitude for getting back on track! - vernswifevickie 350.2 #411 4:37AM
You're so right Vickie! I never thought of it like that. Maybe there's something to that. I'll think of everything as "Bad Comfort Food"...that just might work! - msdizmaui 519.0 #223 5:20PM
Vickie, that's so funny. It does lie to me. I didn't know that's what was happening. Thanks for clearing that up for me. - Mrs.mouse 420.8 #306 10:37PM
Spent all day at the hospital yesterday with my Mom as she had yet another procedure done. Sitting all day with no exercise has made me feel stiff today. I will try to go on a run during my lunch break. I did fairly well on my eating....until late last night. :0( Then I ate some cheese and had a glass of wine. Grrr....it's that late night snack that I'm finding so hard to fight.
How is your mom? Why is evening time so hard to avoid snacking? - Mrs.mouse
420.8 #306 11:47PM
We just got a call from the oncologist who wants to see her today. Heading out shortly to go with her, so should know more then. But I'm bracing myself because it hasn't been good news so far.
I did better with my snacking last night...finally! Just had a glass of Pellegrino with some lime (instead of the glass of wine I really wanted), and no snacks. WOOO HOOO! It's a start. - D55CR 245.4 #1050 11:17AM
With you again. I did great all day then after dinner sat there and started looking around for things to eat. Started with low-fat string cheese (not too bad) then moved on to a sugar-free fudgecicle (still not terrible) then hit the pecan pieces (should have stopped at the fudgecicle). Hope mom does better tomorrow...too bad our "late nights" are in different time zones. We could meet up on MW and talk ourselves out of eating! - msdizmaui

I like how your snacks aren't too bad. I kinda don't want to admit what my snacks are. - Mrs.mouse 420.8 #306 1:56AM
Not sure why, but the night time is the hardest. Oh well....we just keep trying, right? - D55CR 245.4 #1050 11:18AM
Tonight it was Oreos and most of a bag of the new Green Giant Sweet Potato Chips...my new obsession! - msdizmaui 519.0 #223 12:08AM
I've read the night snacking isn't bad, and you are suppose to eat a healthy snack before bed. It releases dopamine or something like that and helps you sleep better. I was encouraged to have a snack before bed when I was pregnant since I had gestational diabetes, but she said that everyone should have a healthy snack before bed. The hard part is choosing a healthy snack instead of cookies. Lol! - Fanatic4Disney 258.0 #926 3:49PM
Night time snacking plagues me!! You're right...we just keep trying. I'm sorry things are so hard with your mom. - vernswifevickie

Thanks, There is a group on Facebook. We're dedicating our runs to Boston. Everyone takes a photo like this one and sends them in. Then they are going to do a slideshow, set to music with the photos. - vernswifevickie 350.2 #411 4:26AM
You can do this! Keep your eyes on the goal......every time you are tempted to overindulge, just keep picturing yourself in that costume and that suit. Woo Hoo! Hot Momma!

Awesome! I bet you are so excited, because we are too! We are staying at the DLH for our first time in 3 weeks. I'm down almost 40 pounds since 2/12. Mostly baby weight. WW has helped with the last 5. Hoping to lose another 5 before our trip. :-) We can do this, my friend! - Fanatic4Disney

I ran in honor of Boston today....2.5 miles. I am also wearing my Neverland 5K race t-shirt today. My heart is broken, but my spirit is not. The bad guys don't get to win.
I didn't run today as I'm still recovering from this cold. But I wore my Tink shirt in support of those affected in Boston. My heart is broken for them as well. - vernswifevickie

It would be great fun! I posted in the hub as well but not getting much interest. I'm going to do it on Sunday morning of the reunion weekend. I hope others will join me but if not I'll do it alone...lol. I'm going to keep bumping the post in the hub for the next couple of weeks and see what happens. - vernswifevickie
