Thinking about having breakfast tomorrow at the parks. Besides the character breakfasts, where the best place to eat? & what to have?
Tomorrowland has pretty good breakfast burritos. - Chumash28  764.0 #130 1:04AM

Hi all! Today was fun at the DLR. Being handicapped does have its perks, but I still don't feel the same. It's like I'm watching everyone around me walk & enjoy & explore. And I wheel around... Honestly don't know what a blessing it is to be able to walk until you can't anymore. Thankfully I should be healed in 8 months and should be able to do DLR with no problem! Other than that had a wonderful   More...

Alright, because you all were so helpful with my last question, here goes one more. APEE... I'd like to do this when I go next week. I know I have to register. My question is will the place I can get a EVC be open earlier than 7? I need that to get around. And I don't want to waste my EE of when the park opens is when I have to get my chair. I'd like to go get FP for RSR along with everyone else.  More...
Another way to get a scooter is to rent one from an off-site company. We did that for my mother last March, and it was AWESOME. She was able to drive it to/from DL and our hotel, we didn't have to stand in line to get one, and it was much less expensive. We went through Mobility Source in San Diego. They delivered the scooter to our hotel before we arrived, and picked it up after we checked out. I think it was about $100 for three days of use. The scooter was nearly new, and was in fantastic shape.  - jmgphx  322.7 #511 8:35AM

I'd like to say Thank You to all the great advice I received on my last post about being disabled. I really hope I'm able to bend my knee enough to get on/in a ride!! I'm at almost a 70 degree angle in pain, I'm guessing ill be able to push about 60-70 degrees in my brace. Obviously SM & IJ is out!! Oh and Matterhorn. Wanted to ride that! Guess I'll wait for the trip after summer. Other than that   More...

no way on the matterhorn. You have to be able to get out from a cannonball position. I rode it yesterday with my knees to my chin in the front seat. The back and middle seats have about 2 extra inches....time to get into some serious low cal meal plans. - Plumiegirl  3323.2 #10 11:32AM

I'd like to get your opinion on my trip next week! I'm not new here (I just don't post a lot) and being disabled is new to me. I am going next week for two days, I am going to get an electric scooter. Does anyone know if they run out quickly? I figured since its Summer they might, and I'm worried I'd have to be on crutches all day. (I had ACL Reconstruction with Medial Meniscus Repair almost a mon  More...
They don't usually run out of ecv's early, later in the day yes they have run out. You don't need a special paper since CM's can see you need special boarding assistance. Be prepared to bring your patience, people will jump in front of your chair like you aren't even there. Every attraction at DCA is accessible meaning you wait in line sitting in your chair. Bring your crutches with you. *my husband had torn Achilles and we survived a week at the parks, take your time and enjoy!! Oh and ignore the looks you might get when getting on some rides, what those people don't understand is sometimes you will wait even longer then them because only a certain number of special assistance riders are allowed on at a time. - Linzee  516.8 #226 9:56AM
Ok. Thank you. Ive been reading on a few other posts, that I'm supposed to go through FP line on RSR. But honestly I don't even know if I'm going to be able to ride this at all. Is it jerky? I know SM - theKASIENTE  8.0 #7551 10:11AM
Hi...I forgot to add always ask a CM if you have any boarding questions or concerns, they are *amazing* and deal with special circumstance people daily. Enjoy your trip!! - Linzee  516.8 #226 10:59AM
Even though all attractions in DCA are wheelchair accessible if you are not comfortable doing that you can get a return pass based on the current wait time to get in the FP line later. - Coaster  9139.5 #1 12:08PM
@coaster a return pass? Hm and I just ask a CM at the ride for that? I'm so nervous to see how my knee can handle it. :-/ - theKASIENTE  8.0 #7551 12:54PM
Yes. TSMM does this as well. Just ask a CM at the front entrance and the'll tell you where to go back in line and what time. - FantasmicFan82  173.3 #1948 2:16PM
Screamin too. They just take the current time add the standby for your return time. - Coaster  9139.5 #1 2:31PM
If for some reason they do run out of chairs there are a few rental  places in the area.  - LovePiglet76  39.2 #4017 10:00AM
I spent 18 months in a wheel chair after three reconstructive surgeries. We would go to Disneyland Resorts and a few times they would be out of the electric scooters as early as noon and we would have to go with a wheel chair instead which was more difficult in a crowded area. You should make sure you get a Guest Assistance Pass at City Hall. When I couldn't go on rides I would bring a book, hunt for hidden Mickey's, look at the detail and artistry of the landscape, and people watch. DCA is much easier to get around in but you can have a great time and discover some hidden rides that you may overlook. - butternard  26.1 #4579 1:07PM
There is at least one hotel across from Disneyland (On Harbor) that rents electric vehicle carts. I dont know the prices but it seems easy to cross from there and enter the park just not sure where you would park your vehicle. If I find out more info I will post more. - PyraLynne  3.1 #24690 2:59PM

Possibly thinking of going for fathers day. Never been on a holiday like this. Do you think it will be crowded? Any previous experiences?
I'm sure it will be. School is out plus it's a weekend. - Nyghtngale  547.8 #204 12:13AM
Kinda figured. I'd like to go with my dad, just don't want it to be super crowded. :-/ thanks though. - theKASIENTE  8.0 #7551 7:45AM
super croded sice Carsland wll be opening the day before. But if I lived closer, I might go for a few hours in the morning :) - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint  1798.6 #42 7:52AM
If you get there early to get some Fastpasses and don't mind the crowds, it should be fun. Make a reservation somewhere fun to eat now so you can at least get a meal and a few rides in. - LaneSparrow316  846.9 #108 8:41AM
Everyday from approx. a week ago will be crowded, every weekend day will be very crowded, and every holiday and from June 15th will be capacity crowded. Read Rules-Faqs and look at the crowd index scale and it will tell you how crowded the parks are throughout the year. - splashphotoCM  880.9 #101 8:47AM

So, I'm heading to the parks with my niece on Tuesday with my Best Friend KaJaSi. My niece is almost 3, any suggestions on what to do, it's her first time; I've been there plenty.. I want her to meet the characters and everything, I just hope she's not afraid. Please give me some pointers and tips on what I should do on Tuesday! Thank you in advance.
Tuesday is usually quiet. If you want to see the princesses, highly recommend the Princess Fairy Faire in Fantasyland. Go to it as early as possible because the lines get long. Ask a CM there to see which princesses will be there that day. - BaseballMickey_CM  2851.3 #15 11:20AM
