I have been a public school teacher for 22 years. Your stories do not surprise me. I witness this behavior from teens (and their parents) almost every day. DisneyLand is not immune from the ills os society, sadly.

Triple HD's post prompted the following question from my wife: Why do normally reasonable, well-educated parents submit their children to napless 12 hour days at Disneyland, then act surprised when their child has a screaming meltdown on the tram ride to the parking lot? We seek wisdom.
I agree. Just like adults they get tired especially running around the park all day. I am an AP holder so when we go, I try to stay about 5-6 hours depending on the events or holidays. I know a lot of people that live out of state don't have the same luxury but if you are planning on having a long day at Disneyland, just remember it's a lot for the little ones. Between the crowds and sometimes over stimulation for the small ones. It does take some extra patience from the parents for them on those busy days. My child is 8 so its getting a little easier. But I do make sure we try and sit down for some rest and have a snack. Sometimes that can make a difference. - kbeenss

I agree. We are heading down from Seattle in 4 weeks for their first DL trip. We are taking 3 days at the park. We will go slow, use are fastpasses and if we don't get on everything, no worries here :). Just going to take out time and soak up all of the kids happiness. Their growing so fast, no need for stress at the most wonderful place on earth :) - jeana121180

When we go to DL we always go for a few days so we don't feel rushed. When my daughter starts getting fussy we head back to the hotel for a nap or little break. I'd rather take things slow & have a happy child than be miserable trying to do too much. - VikkiMouse

THANK YOU to all CAST MEMBERS who worked this weekend. My wife and I enjoyed our visit, mainly due to the awesome service of cast members at restaurants and in the parks. Even though the parks were packed, the cast members were energetic and professional. You guys are the best! Keep up the great work!

I totally agree. Yesterday the woman who played cinderella was so incredibly sweet to my daughter, she danced with her and then saw us taking a picture by the sign that says, "and they lived happily ever after.." and asked if she could join our picture. My bff was in Anaheim for a convention a few years ago. She was sad she couldn't go in to the parks. Mickey's Halloween Party last night: Totally worth it! 9:30 fireworks were great. Facing the castle, stay middle to right to see the whole show. Too far let and you have a blcked view. Candy lines in New Orleans Square and behind Big Thunder were short - but candy lines were long elsewhere. Walked on evey ride except Peter Pan, which was 6-7 minutes.
