I got to go to DL for a few hours last night. It was a test to see how I'd do since we are leaving Saturday for WDW and I'm still recovering from having my gallbladder out. The CM who took our dinner order was awesome!! I'm still not fully eating and food can create a problem but he talked to the chief and even tho we were doing the World of Color fixed menu they made me something I could eat. Foo More...
It's official! Our first family trip to WDW is 100% booked. We booked the resort 2 weeks ago and just now booked the flights... October can't get here fast enough... FYI I've been around reading post just have not been as active in posting. I do miss this place
I'm so excited! Sunday my co-leader and I are taking out Brownie troop to Disneyland. They have been working on the safety award and will completed the steps Sunday with the help of a CM at City Hall. Then we will head over to the castle and one by one with the best back drop ever we will pin them. I'm so excited!
Anyone leaving the park going 5 south... Just a heads up 4 right lanes closed all cars being directed to the HOV lane close by the 74. It's pretty backed up. We are just sitting. Please pray we make it to a gas station we are low on gas.
Just had a very nice couple give my twins each a vinyl... We were looking at them and they asked if we collected and we said yes.... He reached in his bag and pulled put a plastic bin and let each girl pick one. So super awesome!!! If your on MW thank you again!!!
A personal favorite is the beautifully hand crafted music box
A fun video from 2013, the story behind the music box with Clopin, Figaro and the even watch the Tangled Tower being put into the Fantasy Faire:
Of course, no trip to the Fantasy Faire would be complete without a visit to the Royal Hall. Loved this artist rendition, that's just how my girls are when they enter the Hall. ::sigh::
Took this next part directly from Disney Parks Blog:
“After walking into our main entrance, you will first go through a garden-like setting before entering the reception hall,” said Michel Den Dulk, Creative Director of Fantasy Faire for Walt Disney Imagineering. “Once inside the Royal Hall, guests will discover a beautiful gothic interior with nice wallpaper, wall cresting, wood finishes and chandeliers.”
Passing through a series of spaces, including the Grand Hall, you’ll have the opportunity to meet as many as three Disney princesses, from classic stories such as “Cinderella” and “Sleeping Beauty.”
Dont forget to grab a sweet treat from Maurice's Treats! At the time, (isn't there more now?) the adorable cart featured 3 “Twists” and a new signature beverage: Boysen Apple Freeze.
In a tribute to the historic Carnation Plaza Gardens, a shield over the archway leading from Fantasy Faire to Rancho del Zocalo in Frontierland displays the letters “CPG.”
