(*Long post alert*) 3 years ago today, I got an email saying I had a new follower on Twitter. I never could have fathomed what that one email could do for me, for my life. The follower was something called MouseWait. I had never heard of such a thing, so of course when I saw it was Disney related I followed right back and found my way to the app. Since then, SO much has happened! About 2-3 weeks l More...
One year ago today I had no idea that my life would be changed as much as it has by this app. It has literally saved my life. Two years prior I had been diagnosed with bipolar 2 after suffering with it for 42 years. I mention this because the stigma associated with mental illness must be removed from society. I could not function socially as the Drs played with what meds I More...
Let's all wish our very own Admin a very Happy Birthday! We wish you the best and hope you have a blessed day. Thank you for all your hard work and everything you do to improve and make MouseWait possible! 😃🎂🎉
First and foremost, I apologize in advance for the length of this post. A few days ago someone made a comment that they felt that MouseWait was fun, yet "nonproductive". I have to tell you my story today to help this persons realize that this is a VERY productive place. Earlier today I was driving down the 405 after just finishing an emergency call heading south. I was in the southbound lane n More...
Hey guys. I just wanted to say thanks again to all of you. To be honest, I've been having a hard time accepting my future and what's to come. MouseWait has helped so much, and when I say MouseWait, I mean all of you amazing people. As odd as it may sound, the reason I'm so obsessed with Monsters University is because I'm starting college this fall semester... I connected with it. I've always been More...

Bug report for WP8 app:
Summary: When viewing wait times, the last time updated is not correct.
Details: The last updated time is off by 3 hours. Most likely a time zone problem. I am viewing wait times for Disneyland and California Adventure from the PST time zone. Last update times appear as three hours in the future.

#TIPS#ACRONYMS#DICTIONARY Thanks to everyone for posting acronyms and directing me to the post with 300 comments! I wanted to make a contribution to this amazing community of MWers, so I took all of that info, plus some from other posts, cleaned it up and alphabetized. I'm posting here, but maybe Admin can add to FAQs or SIC can add to MW101? (I can email a Word file.) (I kept most of the sil More...
Matterhorn golden sunset. We ran from the east end to the west end of the park Saturday looking for places to shoot that beautiful sunset. The last shots I loved were taken from the top of Innoventions. Full size http://www.flickr.com/cobbpr/
I jist want to say thanks to all of the MW family! We live in Moore, OK and this is the first time I've been able to check out MW all week (home internet still out and wireless service sketchy at best). I loves seeing the 24hr post tonight, they have brought a smile to my face after a crazy week. Thanks Again!!
To regulate over crowding Disney does a few things:
Level 1: Normal entry and re-entry to the park
Level 2: The park stops selling admission tickets (about 60,000 guests) Pass Holders and pre purchased tickets are still allowed entry.
Level 3: Admission only to hotel guest and readmission, with hand stamp for Pass and ticket holders. (about 75,000)
Level 4: Close the park no one enters the park. More...
This is MrMOMzers wonderful picture with a little magic added! We've been beta testing the MouseWait Advanced Composer for awhile now. This allows approved MWers to create their own "column" in the Lounge with expanded posts, pics, and videos inside the post. We are ready to open this feature up to more people who are intersted in having their own MouseWait Column in the Lounge. Your posts could be featured on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ and seen by our 100,000+ strong social media audience!
This feature is best used for instructional posts, history posts (like Duchess_SMK's column), and for reporting news (i.e. BaseballMickey_CM's posts). You could also do this to create a post describing your recent visit to the Parks with multiple pictures, videos, and more--think of it like an article that would appear in a magazine. The Advanced Composer only works on the web version. GO HERE TO APPLY and watch your email for more info (make sure you're email client is not blocking our emails or sending them to Spam--for some reason icloud.com, me.com, and mac.com will not allow our messages to come through.)
Thank you to everyone who strives to add quality content to the Lounge! Thanks again to MrMOMzers for the amazing picture!
Mr. Disney was one of five children, four boys and a girl. He was the fourth born Disney son. He was named after his parents pastor and friend Walter Parr, a preacher at St. Paul Congregational Church. The pastor, in turn, will later name his son Elias, after Walt's father.
Most of Walt's childhood was spent on a farm in Marceline, Missouri, where he began drawing, painting and selling pictures to neighbors and family friends. In 1911, the family moved to Kansas City, where his love for trains really developed. His Uncle, Mike Martin, was a train Engineer who worked on the route between Fort Madison, Iowa, and Marceline. Walt would later work a summer job with the railroad, selling newspapers and snacks to the travelers. To read more about Walts love for trains

To watch a short biography of Walts life:
Walt and Lillian Disney with unnamed friend, London, 1935.
Walt Disney in my opinion, is a wonderful example of the American dream! He represents: imagination, optimism, creation, and self-made success in the American tradition. He brought us closer to the future, while telling us of the past, it is certain, Walt Disney was a great man! He and his brother Roy co-founded Walt Disney Productions, which became one of the best-known motion-picture production companies in the world! Disney was an innovative animator and created the cartoon characters we all love to watch today. :) He won 22 Academy Awards during his lifetime, and was the founder of the magical playgrounds that ties us all together, Disneyland and Disney World. Had he been alive today he would be 112 years old! Happy birthday Walt! Thank you so much for believing in your dreams! You are a true inspiration.
In honor of today, it would be fun if we all mentioned our favorite quote from Mr. Disney. I'll go first, I have many, but this one always sticks out:
"I've always been interested in the past and history and I think it's vital."
Thanks for reading and watching! Hope you all have a terrific Thursday!
