Question... I see that is will be the food and wine while we're in the resort... does that mean that CA will not be open to regular admission tickets? How does this work?

A regular ticket will get you in, the food and wine festival is a series of carts you can purchase items of food there that are not usually in the park except during the festival. You don't need a special pass to try the items the carts are spread around the park the menus are located on the sides to see if anything strikes your interest. Hope this helps enjoy your visit! - grapesoda  1372.1 #153 9:09PM

There are special events, such as celebrity cooking demonstrations, that does require a separate ticket (in Stage 17), but these do not impact you from enjoying the rest of the park.  - NotReallyGrumpyBill  983.5 #225 11:32AM

Howdy! Have any of u lovely folks stayed at the Grand Legacy hotel? Just booked our trip for April 5th!

I stayed there last Summer. The location is convenient. The room I was in was not really updated, but fine. I liked the rooftop bar. Parking isn't the easiest if you get there late as it is shared with a restaurant.  - JenGwen323  2215.9 #86 9:59PM
Thank you for your info! Will make sure to park the car and leave it until we depart. The rooftop bar looks awesome! Hoping to watch the fireworks up there! - DisneyBallers  59.7 #4742 10:07PM
Just stayed there thus last weekend!! It was ok. In my humble opinion the standard double rooms were a little awkward, and small, as the shower, toilet, sink/counter were all in the restroom. I like hotel rooms that have the sink/counter space outside of the restroom. They do give AP discounts, and allow AP holders to have early check in at 2pm and late checkout at 1pm. Had an issue with our toilet at like 1am (it wouldn't stop running due to the flapper) and we had to fix it ourselves as there were no maintenance people on staff... it was just the desk clerk and valet person... also the rooms don't have safes... no continental breakfast... it's good for a couple nights, and a great location. Pool is nice as I went and took a nap on the sun on Saturday before heading back to the parks in the evening. I think you'll enjoy yourself. The Tropicana is my go-to and fav hotel on Harbor. Great staff, older but great size rooms and perfect location. 😎 Enjoy yourvyrip 😊 - CentralCoastAuntVon  356.9 #745 10:05PM
Interesting. The room I was in, a double of some sort, did have the sink outside the Bath. And I did go to a crowded continental breakfast. I guess they did away with it.  - JenGwen323  2215.9 #86 10:21PM
@@JenGwen323, that is interesting! I looked at the gallery online before booking it and thought I saw rooms with the outside sink/counter...also the Continental Breakfast is a "snack bag" you can pick up at the pol area which consists of an apple, granola bar, string cheese and a bottle of water. The bottle of water and granola bar was nice to put in our backpacks, but our apples were on the mushy side.  Again, nice place, just little nuances.  - CentralCoastAuntVon  356.9 #745 6:56AM
That snack bag sounds pretty good. In July, they had breakfast on the 2nd floor over the front desk. Too crowded for me.  - JenGwen323  2215.9 #86 11:58AM
We always stay there. About 15-20 times over the past few years. They have done a lot of updates. It's clean and very convenient to walk to the park, less than 5 minutes. The best part was they never even used to charge for parking but that changed when they changed from the Ramada to he GL. For us it's just a place to crash after a long day in the parks. We aren't very snobby about our hotel rooms just as long as they are clean.  As noted above, the new rooftop bar is awesome and a great place to watch the DL fireworks.   - tg4653  105.8 #3687 10:08PM
Awesome info here thank u all! Getting excited! The Tropicana was booked for our dates so this is the closest we could get. I'm just so happy about the location. We have an almost 6 month old so it will be perfect! - DisneyBallers  59.7 #4742 9:41AM

Hey guys and gals, question for parents... I have a 5 month old daughter and we're planning a quick one day/night trip to the parks. Wondering are there any rides we can bring her on in either parks?

@IDVandalSkipperCM - secretagentangel  11913.3 #9 8:01PM
Fantasyland rides, HM, POTC, Buzz, Mermaid, you can go on Autopia but she can't sit in your lap. Oh Jungle Cruise is another one.  - Lelundrial  945.1 #233 8:18PM
I would not do POTC with a baby- that first drop may be a bit much for them. And Adding to the OK List Small World, Casey Jr - misschurro  9370.7 #12 8:26PM
Don't forget Winnie the Pooh ride - sheridanrabbit  1215.0 #173 8:32PM
Careful on the Fantasyland rides, Pinocchio scared my nephew cuz of the whale but there's always The Storybook ride πŸ˜€ - sheridanrabbit  1215.0 #173 8:35PM
My friend took her kid on POTC at three months. Kid slept through the whole thing. The apprentice didn't make a sound when I took him on it. Just held his breath a bit. Casey Jr is in Fantasyland.  - Lelundrial  945.1 #233 8:43PM
Yup I took my kiddo at 3 months and she was none the wiser and slept through it. At 9 months she wasn't quite as smooth about it but was just startled  with the biggest eyes lol - Poisen_Ivy  393.6 #652 2:07AM
POTC when Lil One was 6 weeks, no problem!  Enjoy! - PrincessDuckie  954.8 #230 7:37AM

I believe you need to call the in-house number weekdays, like 8-5 and tell them you are with MW. Maybe @Winnie111286 can tell you. She stays there. Possibly @ShariRenee??  - misschurro  9370.7 #12 5:33PM
Yes but you need to call them direct. Thank you @Misschurro.  Call reservations and tell them you want the MouseWait discount you will also receive points for MW😊 It does not work online reservations so if you already made one call them direct and they can adjust. - ShariRenee  14471.0 #6 5:38PM

MW gets a discount.  You can either call them directly or put the code in the reservation.  I have the code, but it's at home and I'm at work.  I can get it to you later.  MW gets a 15% discount.  DisneyBallers - Winnie111286  35369.3 #1 7:51AM

Good Morning Mouse Waiters!! I have a question for the mommas of minis.... Did you go to the parks while pregnant? Were you able to ride any rides? How was the walking? I appreciate all the info!!

Leaving tomorrow and I'm pregnant, which means I will have been during all three of my pregnancies. Disney is really good about posting whether or not a ride is safe for preggos, so if it's not posted, you're good to go. Most rides without a height requirement are fine. As far as the walking, my feet would always swell, not to the point of being miserable, but you'll definitely want something with laces you can loosen. Don't forget that the first aid station is there to help. You'll probably need to budget a few extra dollars for churros. Is this your first pregnancy, or do you have other kiddos that'll be with you? - LittleAprilShowers  588.4 #395 10:46AM
Great advise! I second all of it, except I'd exchange "churros" for "treats". 😜 - Duchess_SMK  6631.6 #23 5:03PM
The swelling is one of my concerns... I swell to the point of pain. I think breaks will be a good idea and didn't even think of the first aid areas. That's awesome!! And there air conditioned!! For SURE will have a ton of churros!!  - DisneyBallers  59.7 #4742 8:12AM
Can dad's answer? We had passes while my wife was pregnant. There's so much to do even without the crazy fast attractions and there are so many nice resting places. I think the craziest attraction she did was POTC. She enjoyed it and so will you (I'm assuming you're preggo, and if so, congratulations) - phillip...rocks  1610.7 #127 8:38AM
Yes!! Lol of course the dads can answer!! Thank you!! First one so I'm all paranoid about... Everything. But I really wanna go one last time before she gets here. I think I'll enjoy it too!! - DisneyBallers  59.7 #4742 9:20AM

This is my 3rd pregnancy I've enjoyed with my AP and I never feel like I haven't received my money's worth. Just as others have said, anything without a highly requirement is safe and that's quite a bit of attractions. You know you best and as long as you feel comfortable and are having a normal pregnancy Disneyland can be just as much fun. In fact, the food tastes even better. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜ Congrats to you! Hope you have a magical trip and make lots of memories with your baby to be! πŸ’—πŸ‘ΆπŸΌ - Duchess_SMK  6631.6 #23 5:10PM

Hey all!! This may seem like a dumb question but are you allowed to bring waters and sodas and lunch stuff into the park?

Yes. Make sure they aren't frozen. We bring water in all the time. You can also get FREE water just by asking at any of the walk up restaurants. I just go to counter, don't need to wait in line to purchase food. - DLKenCA  3517.7 #50 9:00PM
Awesome thank you!Won't be frozen but what is the reason they can't be? - DisneyBallers  59.7 #4742 9:01PM
I didn't know they couldn't be frozen. Thanks for the info DLKenCA - Woodylover  65.9 #4543 9:03PM
I think I've brought frozen water bottles before--just curious why that could be an issue?   - Spoonful_O_Sugar  707.0 #323 9:33PM
Depends on CM. they can be used to hurt someone.  - secretagentangel  11913.3 #9 9:38PM
Disney has a monopoly on Frozen inside the park. πŸ˜‰I think it might be that a thrown frozen water bottle could be more dangerous. - redsoxcarlos  5582.5 #26 9:39PM
Oh geez πŸ˜‚  frozen water bottles as weapons? I guess it's understandable, but ugh...the world we live in today... - Spoonful_O_Sugar  707.0 #323 9:44PM
I was told since it's hard and could be thrown and seriously hurt someone. They are considered weapons. Most stadiums, concerts have same rules. Disneyland is GREAT with Gluten Free. If you ask at any of the restaurants I think almost all of them have options. If you go somewhere like Plaza Inn or sit down, they will send a chef to your table to discuss your options and help you out. DCA isn't quite as Gluten friendly. - DLKenCA  3517.7 #50 10:36PM
Comment deleted because you said the word - pikaplaid  7714.3 #16 10:40PM
And you need to make the sandwiches and pack them. You can't bring in a loaf of bread and meat and cheese, peanut butter whatever. I saw a family do this and they had to be told to go to picnic area to make sandwiches. They looked really embarrassed , I felt bad for them.  - secretagentangel  11913.3 #9 9:40PM
That's funny--I've done this as well with no problems πŸ˜‚  I think we brought Salami, cheese, and flatbread to snack on once.  I wonder why it would matter that the sandwiches weren't made?   - Spoonful_O_Sugar  707.0 #323 9:47PM
