We still all wait together because we all do things we all want to do. We do have the older 2 (14 & 11) go in a ride vehicle by themselves all the time. Mine aren't ready to go on their own, by their choice. We're still working on you can run to the nearby bathroom by yourself while we wait here for you LOL We are beginning to encourage then though. Park rules: must be 7 (maybe 8😁) to ride alone, 14 to enter the park alone. Β I think when you let your kids take that step, it depends on the maturity of your kid. Β Mine has had an ap since she was 4...she grew up going to DL and has huge respect for the park and other guests. Β When she hit 8, she stopped riding most attractions with me and would stand in line and pretend like she didn't know me 😭. Β She waited alone in lines at attractions that I didn't want to go on. Β At 12 she was able to go off on her own, at 14 she was able to spend half a day there alone. Β She loves that little bit of independence...me not so much because that means she growing up πŸ˜₯πŸ˜‚ Β Β  - Linzee  1094.6 #154 11:13PM
This. - Darlingwendi  1204.9 #134 11:26PM
I think 14 is a good age. But good to know she still has limits. Drfiney depends on maturity Β but I hope she goes with friend. Disney a pretty safe place. I can remember taking off with friend then meeting my parents later. At 14 I hoped it was much later he he. I do love that my Grandkids love to spend time with us. (16. 18) Even with their friends.Β Of course we do what they want. That's what Gma/Gpas do - suzieq65  48.7 #4598 11:40PM
I like to think, what if the ride broke down and they were stuck there for an hour. Could they handle it or would they freak out? If they could handle it, then they are ok. I believe standing in line for just about anything is age 7, but to be in park alone is 14. - DLKenCA  2309.2 #55 11:13PM
I'd say follow this πŸ‘† but also how you feel as a parent and you know how your kids will act. As a parent and also a child of parents that still go to DL with me, we never as a family split up unless it was some wanted to do the roller coaster and others just waited off for us. We never would leave for hours and meet back up. When some siblings were old enough to drink they would maybe go off to grab that and then meet back up (I'm the youngest) but that would really be the only reason we would go separate for a bit. But again, you know your kids. Do what's comfortable for you and what you think your kids can handle  - brodysmommy  408.5 #510 2:55PM
But... But... I want to ride too! Haha we haven't had a reason for them to go alone. We usually all ride everything. My oldest are 9 and almost 8, I think they'd freak if something happened and had to walk off and couldn't see us haha. - MellieKay  193.4 #2002 1:58PM
My oldest is nine and forsnt like to hang around me. Lol now he has to wait until he is 14 - kriket2004  14.0 #8269 4:43PM

We buy the Jelly Belly brand "Sports beans" and keep several packages in our bag. They are, in essence, Gatorade in jelly bean form but with a lot less sugar and coloring. We make sure to drink and eat some of those to replace electrolytes etc from sweating.

Always choose Main Street! It is the original and just can't be beat. Nothing says Disneyland as much as seeing that train as you enter the gate, walking through the tunnel and turning the corner onto Main Street then looking down to see the castle waiting for you.

Main Street I feel is very magical as a kick off for a trip. - justcallmeKP  263.8 #1161 6:05PM

I would take full advantage of the magic morning! The crowds during the day right now can be bad so the earlier you can go and get more in the better. Enjoy Main Street later in the day when it's more crowded and you are relaxing but taking it all in.  - brodysmommy  408.5 #510 8:24PM

I had my daughter's pass fall out of my wallet without me realizing it when I went to take my husband's out to give to him. We didn't realize it right away. Call lost & found tomorrow. 90% of the time it gets turned in. They will put a note on your account and reprint at ticket window for free. Happened to us a couple times  - DLKenCA  2309.2 #55 3:03PM

Have 2 vantage points to this: Most recently I found someone's day ticket at the Indiana fast pass, (I didn't know if would be safer to leave it or not) so I walked across to turn it into a cast member in the store. So you don't know to who your pass will go to, or how long it will take to reach lost and found, so don't worry if it isn't found right away.Back in January I lost my pass fairly early in the day, so I was disappointed not to find it as we were leaving the park. I live an hour and a half away and wasn't going back for about a month. When I did go back I just called lost and found the day before, and fortunate someone had turned it in. They made a note of it, and I was able to pick up a new one my next trip. Hope you have a easy experience finding your pass.. - AngelaSparrow  28.2 #5766 4:28PM

First off, congratulations!! Second, there is still a LOT to see & do at Disneyland while you are pregnant. Mellow attractions such as Small World, the Grand Circle Tour Train. Talk with your Dr should you have any Qs. When you do take baby for the first time, after the Pediatrician has given the green light, be sure to visit the BabyCare spots to make life a lil easier. They are extremely strict and for good reason. Please don't try tricks like putting napkins in their shoes to try and eek out that extra height or thick soled shoes or anything else. There is a reason for the height limits and by trying to cheat the system you risk your child's safety. Indy really does throw you around quite a lot. When I ride with my almost 6 year old I have to hold on to her the  More...

The height requirements are as is, so a couple inches short won't cut it. It is a safety requirement and we won't want her to be hurt on the attraction - BaseballMickey_CM  7100.9 #9 11:06AM
Growing kids could easily sprout an inch and a half in two months. I would say if she reaches 46 by the time you go, do Indy early in the day. As the day goes on your spine compresses some and you actually become slightly shorter. So while she may hit the requirement in the morning, she may not later on due to natural compression. - missmimi90  2002.4 #69 11:10AM
Thank you everyone for all of your fabulous information. I measured her with her tennis shoes on. I won't put her in higher shoes just so she can ride it, I will have her wait till she is tall enough for real. There are other rides that she will enjoy and she won't even know what she is missing.
