I just recently got one for my Halloween costume and just to wear because I can. It is so hard to pick just one! There are a couple displays in the crystal shop on Main Street. I kept going round in circles trying to pick just the right one. I want more!

They've always started putting up Holiday decorations before Halloween has happened. They start with the big, labor intensive things like putting light on Small World, the castle and trees. Last time we saw it we waited until the second showing. We got off Small World and walked right up to a front row spot. Trying to catch the first show you really need to plan a couple hours ahead because people stake out the spots for both the parade and the fireworks that start right after.

I just got something in the mail for our premium passes that expire this month. The only passes it said were not available anymore was the So Cal one and reminded you that you had to renew that one before it expired if you wanted to keep it. They asked my kids a couple times if they were 3 before. I have tall/big kids that did not look their age at all. It didn't happen all the time but it did happen. My kids would answer and we'd be let in. They can't check something like a birth certificate though. If you kid is over 3 get them a ticket like you should and enjoy your day. If they are under 3 then you have nothing to worry about.

Showing your kids honestly will help them with it when they grow uo - E-Ticket  1478.8 #128 7:09PM

I've had them done a couple of times. Once with my 3 kids for mothers day and once a couple later with all 5 of us. They do them super fast! I was worried when I got the first one for Mother's Day as my youngest was still pretty little and I was afraid she wouldn't sit still. It turned out perfectly!

I had one done when I was a child. Then when I was in my early twenties. It's kinda neat to see how the profile janes over the years. I asked if they still did this (my twenties one was done 20 years or so ago) they said they can still do this. You just make a good copy of the old profile. (probably on good card stock ) then take it to them and have your now older child pose for the updated new profile and they will add it! - eeyoretinkfan  349.3 #26 9:58AM

I hope you are able to get the memory cards back. What a terrible thing to lose! We had a baby blanket stolen off my daughter's stroller when she was little. It was one of those "nothing special" waffle knit type blankets that was pink with hearts on it that you can readily buy at Babies R Us. Why would someone steal a baby blanket?

Aww! Hope they get it back! Good things CAN happen. I found a card at the beach, a few years ago. I put it in our computer, played super sleuth & looked for clues. There were pics of Disneyland, a new baby, a quinceanera, Thanksgiving & Christmas photos. I knew it belonged to a gal, but I also had a feeling she had quite an unusual name.Β ONE pic had a group of girls, one gal was wearing the badge for her school. I looked her up on fb, found her friends, looked for one with an unusual name, messaged her, and asked if she lost a card. The owner was an absolute tears. Her mother kept telling her there are still good people in the world, mija. 😊😊😊 - misschurro  7855.6 #14 11:47AM

So this is me. Both my husband and I have been long-time MW lurkers. I really never post on here, but always enjoy keeping up to date with all things Disney through all you wonderful people. I just wanted to come on here and thank everyone for the nice and supportive comments about the loss of our memory cards from our daughter's first 21 months of life; including an entire year's worth of biweekly Disneyland trips. Several mistakes were made on our part--not downloading our pics and videos since she was 4 months old, storing all of our memory cards in our camera bag and mainly- putting our camera bag on a bench to reorganize the stroller...and then walking away. My husband contacted news stations as a way to get a word out to the theif, but boy was that a backfire. The internet trolls got ahold of our story and tore us apart. It was a pretty low week for us. But coming on here and reading all of your nice comments has helped restore my faith in humanity. The good news is, I have a healthy, happy, beautiful daughter in which I have a year's worth of memories that will always live in my heart. And we will work on capturing (and obsessively downloading) the next 21 months of her life. Now if only Churro could find our memory cards ;) - VickyandtheBeast  185.1 #2274 11:09PM
Aww! Welcome and that made me tear up. You know that I absolutely would, if I could! ((Hugs)) - misschurro  7855.6 #14 11:21PM
Oh love to all of you and sorry for your loss of  those memories. You should find out if Disney has any old photos they took of you? Or family members. I'll still pray you get it back!! - secretagentangel  8509.6 #11 11:22PM
You didn't do a thing in the world wrong.  Nobody should see busy parents with a baby as an opportunity to steal from.  I too overloaded my cameras and camcorders with months and months of pictures when my son was small.   Your optimism and positivity is wonderful and I do hope the person who took from you has a change of heart and returns your belongings to you.  I'm so sorry people have been unkind to you, but I'm very happy you found kindness here.  Keep us posted.  βœ¨βœ¨πŸ’ž - DisneyFanZoe  1249.3 #151 11:54PM

so sorry to hear @VickyandtheBeast I really hope someone is nice enough to turn them in!! It is really sad what people will do nowadays. When we were in wdw in January I was sitting on a bench nursing Blake and another couple sat down to nurse their child. Then their family showed up and mine too. We were talking about things while sitting there. Then they left and we were waiting for our fp time and I looked over and they left their iPhone by mistake. We called 'mom' and the people were able to come back and get it and were so happy. If it had been anyone else, who knows what they would have done with it so I was so happy we were still there and to save them from the heartache of a simple mistake of scrambling while breast feeding. I know how it is! So hopefully soon someone will turn them in!! I'll keep πŸ™ for you!! - brodysmommy  467.4 #505 11:29AM

Park rules: must be 7 (maybe 8😁) to ride alone, 14 to enter the park alone. Β I think when you let your kids take that step, it depends on the maturity of your kid. Β Mine has had an ap since she was 4...she grew up going to DL and has huge respect for the park and other guests. Β When she hit 8, she stopped riding most attractions with me and would stand in line and pretend like she didn't know me 😭. Β She waited alone in lines at attractions that I didn't want to go on. Β At 12 she was able to go off on her own, at 14 she was able to spend half a day there alone. I think 14 is a good age. But good to know she still has limits. Drfiney depends on maturity Β but I hope she goes with friend. Disney a pretty safe place. I can remember taking off with friend then meeting my parents later. At 14 I hoped it was much later he he. I do love that my Grandkids love to spend time with us. (16. 18) Even with their friends.Β Of course we do what they want. That's what Gma/Gpas do - suzieq65  156.3 #2712 11:40PM
I like to think, what if the ride broke down and they were stuck there for an hour. Could they handle it or would they freak out? If they could handle it, then they are ok. I believe standing in line for just about anything is age 7, but to be in park alone is 14. - DLKenCA  3014.3 #51 11:13PM
I'd say follow this πŸ‘† but also how you feel as a parent and you know how your kids will act. As a parent and also a child of parents that still go to DL with me, we never as a family split up unless it was some wanted to do the roller coaster and others just waited off for us. We never would leave for hours and meet back up. When some siblings were old enough to drink they would maybe go off to grab that and then meet back up (I'm the youngest) but that would really be the only reason we would go separate for a bit. But again, you know your kids. Do what's comfortable for you and what you think your kids can handle  - brodysmommy  467.4 #505 2:55PM
But... But... I want to ride too! Haha we haven't had a reason for them to go alone. We usually all ride everything. My oldest are 9 and almost 8, I think they'd freak if something happened and had to walk off and couldn't see us haha. - MellieKay  315.9 #890 1:58PM

I live near Palm Springs and trust me humidity and heat are terrible down here and I do use those cooling towels they were great - PartridgeFam  35.6 #5774 1:01PM
I use  a wet towel around my neck. Water it down in the bathrooms thru out the day. Works wonderfully!! - mickeymousegrandma  0.8 #73145 7:08AM

I don't wear hats when it's super hot because they make me hotter and I end up with a massive headache. I've tried. Find shade and keep hydrated is how I beat the heat.

And keep hydrated!! πŸ’¦πŸ’¦ - nicealex77  731.4 #295 11:14AM

Just as an fyi, they have new brimmed hats where the entire crown has tiny ventilating holes and the top part is shaded. When you walk, you can feel a breeze filter in and cool the head down. They even sell them at the shops here in adventureland and frontierland :) - MissWeekdayDisney  15.8 #8833 1:30PM
I wear visors. Lots of sunscreen. Hats make me too hot and give me headaches, but the visors give me headaches too!😜😜I love hats though so I save them for cool days. They should have sunscreen dispensers, Β I'm always looking for more, lol!Β The main thing is stay hydrated with water preferably. We drink a ton waiting for the parades. - secretagentangel  8509.6 #11 2:35PM

Always choose Main Street! It is the original and just can't be beat. Nothing says Disneyland as much as seeing that train as you enter the gate, walking through the tunnel and turning the corner onto Main Street then looking down to see the castle waiting for you.

Main Street I feel is very magical as a kick off for a trip. - justcallmeKP  274.4 #1208 6:05PM
Main Street!!! Nothing beats walking down Main Street with all the sights, sound and smells! And, seeing the Magical castle down the way....spectacular!!!  - MommyandBash  433.7 #545 6:10PM
I would take full advantage of the magic morning! The crowds during the day right now can be bad so the earlier you can go and get more in the better. Enjoy Main Street later in the day when it's more crowded and you are relaxing but taking it all in.  - brodysmommy  467.4 #505 8:24PM
Main street, the castle & the train. With a park hopper, you can split the remainder of the time...but for a first time, nothing beats Main Street! Have fun!!  - azcoolmom  252.6 #1398 9:23PM

I have a Cheero. I play Ingress so I got the official Ingress one from Amazon. It is working out extremely well. We've been putting it to the test since we got it. I have the MW Juno one and it died. It actually looks like some of the plastic casing melted and caved in and at one point it smelled like burnt plastic. It now takes a day and a half to say it has a full charge but as soon as you plug   More...

I like the Trent.  - sewedna  579.0 #387 5:05PM

We ate there for the first time during the 24 hour day. We really enjoyed it! There is a lot of food on the plate. I had the chicken tamales. I forgot what else my family had. We will most certainly eat there again.

I haven't either - keepmovingforward  264.9 #1291 12:40PM
