So yesterday, I was working in the Indiana Jones Outpost store in Adventureland and had noticed something on the ground. Good morning! This day in Disney history, Aug 21st, 1995. The PeopleMover (sponsored by Goodyear up until Dec 31st, 1981) closes @ Disneyland. Running since July 1967. Guests could board small trains that ran on elevated tracks for a "grand circle tour" above Tomorrowland. It was a high-capacity attraction. The hourly capacity was up to 4,885 guests! I so remember and miss this attraction. It was such a great way to take a break and view all of Tomorrowland. It started at what was the Tomorrowland Rockets and took you all through Tomorrowland and all the way back to where the Autopia Cars go. Through the Tron exhibit and even above the Tomorrowland store. If Disney has any heart, they will bring this attraction back and honor Walt and his Imagineers.
