Talk to guest relations. They can customize Das to help you... Ask for gold re-ads...

So was it just the same wait time for those who don't have disabilities? That sounds more fair to me but I will admit I don't use the DAS. I realize every situation can be unique but having an equal wait time seems fair-as long as they are not making people stand in line. If people without disabilities would only be able to get on 4 rides, it makes sense that those with a DAS have the same amount. It's definitely not fair if those with disabilities are unable to ride the same amount though. So I guess I was just wondering what the difference was, besides the fact that you could do more with the GAC.  - warchanted  139.2 #2757 10:28PM
Isn't this the system, more or less, that is used in DCA since?  lines on that side are wheelchair accesable you can request a return time pass ??? - mike714  338.1 #631 10:41AM
Well, here's what we did and we went on 6 rides in a couple of hours. Got our DAS after 5 and got a return time pass to Peter Pan, went to Peter Pan after eating so a little after 6, waited 15 minutes to get on, went to the kiosk got a time for Casey, only had to wait 5 minutes so easy, got a pass for Alice had to return in 30 minutes so fid tea cups and Snow White then returned to Alice, got pass to iasw had to return in 20 minutes had a snack then walked on our ride. Just wanted to share because we were testing out Fantasyland tonight. - MrsSchnooks  2833.0 #37 11:49PM
Thank you for sharing.  - dumbbunny  626.2 #277 11:52PM
This is exactly how the system should be working. Good to hear it did for your group. - CM_Shadowgamer  2375.0 #49 11:59PM
There some things that I'll have to get used to like the loud noises that echo as you go through the cage in the SW queue. My solution is not go through it until its completely clear and I can walk through quickly. Or get a return time obviously. Tonight I wanted to test it. For me it's the loud noises and tight spaces that freak me out and get my anxiety going. Going to start packing my ear buds. I did get asked quite a few questions getting my DAS but the CM was new and I was just patient and explained in quite a bit of detail why I could not do this and that. He had someone help him finally and it was fine. - MrsSchnooks  2833.0 #37 12:34AM
That makes sense. Have other plans for in between those longer wait rides. And there are other rides you can go on without kind waits. Sounds like it is doable then. πŸ‘πŸ‘ Well done, MrsSchnooks! 😘 - MeridaFan  3438.9 #28 6:06AM
I wanted to share my DAS experience from yesterday. I went to DCA and showed the CM (Gabe) my old GAC card. He listened to me very attentively and issued me a DAS card. He explained the new policies and gave me a return time for my desired attraction (TOT). I believe I was to return in 40 minutes. After that I went straight to a kiosk and requested my second attraction. This continued throughout the day and we ended up riding 8 rides. I agree the change is difficult, but I so appreciate that there is still something in place to accommodate the people who really need it. I am hoping the people who are not having good experiences can find a way to make the new system work. It doesn't look like the old system will return. I will take what I can get at this point. This new system is still allowing me to enjoy my happy place. Please be patient everyone. I'm sure Disney is doing all they can to accommodate everyone fairly.  - Disneyluvr1976  20.5 #6397 11:07AM
Sounds like that worked for you exactly as intended.  πŸ‘  - bluefairy  643.3 #261 11:22AM
My wife and I take her Down syndrome brother and sister to the parks once a month. The first two times we didn't use the system and I would wait in the lnes for a few rides and then they would join us. Last Friday we used the new system and it worked great for us. We used it for three rides. There is so much to do and see in the parks instead of waiting in lines. I now get to see how excited they get to see characters in the park. They will work with each individuals problems.  You super moms out there let them know about your sons and daughters problems. The new system is for 95% of the people asking for help. - Papa2goofy  24.1 #5918 12:05PM

Technically in California you are supposed to only use babysitters 14 or older, maybe there is some new state law influencing this, or maybe it is the tweens group of kids who seem to go a little overboard during their spring 8th grade graduation trips. For the good teens, kind of a bummer, but it sounds like it is for getting into the park itself, not sure how then would enforce it on the rides. I think keeping the kids safe is number one though! - secretagentangel  1304.3 #103 5:08PM

Tomb sweet tomb. Favorite line: preparase (sp?)

Tomb Sweet Tomb. My favorite part. Foyer: When hinges creak in doorless chambers, and strange and frightening sounds echo through the halls. Whenever candlelights flicker where the air is deathly still. That is the time when ghosts are present, practicing their terror with ghoulish delight! Portrait Gallery: Welcome, foolish mortals, to the Haunted Mansion! I am your host, your ghost host. Kindly step all the way in please and make room for everyone. There's no turning back now. Our tour begins here in this gallery where you see paintings of some of our guests as they appeared in their corruptible, mortal state. Your cadaverous pallor betrays an aura of foreboding, almost as though you sense a disquieting metamorphosis. Is this haunted room actually stretching? Or is it your imagination, hmm? And consider this dismaying observation: This chamber has no windows and no doors, which offers you this chilling challenge: to find a way out! Of course, there's always my way. Portrait Hall: Oh, I didn't mean to frighten you prematurely; the real chills come later. Now, as they say, look alive, and we'll continue our little tour. And let's all stay together, please. There are several prominent ghosts who have retired here from creepy old crypts from all over the world. Actually, we have 999 happy haunts here, but there's room for a thousand. Any volunteers? If you insist on lagging behind, you may not need to volunteer. The carriage that will carry you into the moldering sanctum of the spirit world will accommodate you and one or two loved ones. Kindly watch your step as you board, please. We spirits haunt our best in gloomy darkness, so remember, no flash pictures, please. And now, a carriage approaches to carry you into the boundless realm of the supernatural. Take your loved ones by the hand, please, and kindly watch your step. Oh yes, and no flash pictures, please! We spirits are frightfully sensitive to bright lights. Do not pull down on the safety bar, please; I will lower it for you. And heed this warning: the spirits will materialize only if you remain quietly seated at all times. Onboard Doombuggies: We find it delightfully unlivable here in this ghostly retreat. Every room has wall-to-wall creeps, and hot and cold running chills. Shhh, listen! All our ghosts have been dying to meet you! This one can hardly contain himself! Unfortunately, they all seem to have trouble getting through. Perhaps Madame Leota can establish contact. She has a remarkable head for materializing the disembodied. Madame Leota: Horntoads and lizards, fiddle and strum. Please answer the role by beating a drum! Ghost fiends and furies, old friends and new! Blow in a horn, so we'll know whether it's you! Serpents and spiders, tail of a rat; call in the spirits, wherever they're at. Rap on a table; it's time to respond. Send us a message from somewhere beyond. Goblins and ghoulies from last Halloween. Awaken the spirits with your tambourine. Creepies and crawlies, toads in a pond; let there be music, from regions beyond! Wizards and witches, wherever you dwell, give us a hint, by ringing a bell! Grand Ballroom: The happy haunts have received your sympathetic vibrations and are beginning to materialize. They're assembling for a swinging wake, and they'll be expecting me. I'll see you all a little later. Grim Grinning Ghosts: When the crypt doors creak and the tombstones quake, Spooks come out for a swinging wake! Happy haunts materialize, and begin to vocalize. Grim Grinning Ghosts come out to socialize! Now don't close your eyes and don't try to hide, For a silly spook may sit by your side. Shrouded in a daft disguise, they pretend to terrorize. Grim Grinning Ghosts come out to socialize! As the moon climbs high o'er the dead oak tree, Spooks arrive for the midnight spree. Creepy creeps with eerie eyes start to shriek and harmonize. Grim Grinning Ghosts come out to socialize! When you hear the knell of a requiem bell, weird glows gleam where spirits dwell. Restless bones etherealize, rise as spooks of every size! Ghost Host: Ah, there you are, and just in time! There's a little matter I forgot to mention. Beware of hitchhiking ghosts! They have selected you to fill our quota, and they'll haunt you until you return! Now I will raise the safety bar, and a ghost will follow you home! If would like to join our jamboree there's a simple rule that's compulsory. Mortals pay a token fee. Rest in peace, the haunting's free; so hurry back, we would like your company! Little Leota: Hurry back! Hurry back! Be sure to bring your death certificate, if you decide to join us. Make final arrangements now! We've been dying to have you! - EJDG79  23.1 #6041 12:05PM

I think changing Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse to Tarzan was a bad idea. I also prefer the rockets on top of the Peoplemover platform. The empty Peoplemover track is a constant reminder of what should be there. - ScooterMike  1961.7 #64 8:24AM
This is so true, Though the rockets provide a nice touch of tomorrow at the entrance of tomorrow land where it is now, they were more exciting when they were higher up. If only the imagineers would do something with that "setup" that's up there now. A light show or something. - imtheghostinthehatbox  14.5 #7632 9:01AM
Yeah, I've been going to Disneyland for 52 years now, and that empty track to me is the greatest missed opportunity I can recall. Seeing vast tonnage of empty concrete and steel year after year is, kind of a "fail" in my opinion. The creativity of the imagineers over the almost 58 years of Disneyland's existence is second to none, and I believe the reason it is still empty falls on the hands of the people "upstairs". It's time for them to come "downstairs" and just commit to fixing it by putting the people mover back and expanding it to make it a true People Mover! - CVDisneyland  383.3 #520 9:33AM
I agree! I miss the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse :( - TicTocCroc  235.3 #1411 9:38AM
I read that the people mover had tons of accidents involving stupid teens jumping in and out of it and getting body parts stuck. - PrincessDaisy  307.5 #778 9:45AM
I miss Country Bears Jamboree, America Sings and People Mover. - MrsSchnooks  2833.0 #37 1:24PM
That park replacement where the Maliboomer used to be. Eh... - LifeyLand  57.2 #4179 9:40AM
I would love to see the return o the peoplemover! It is too bad they took it out. It would have been neat to have my kids be able to grow up with it. It was such a classic. Also, the front of Alice lost its charm when they had to cover up so much. Hopefully they can come up with some sort of resolution soon! It is Disney, so I am sure they will invent a way to make it work. - 7mouskedoodles  355.0 #587 9:57AM
Why did they have to cover up so much of Alice ? - greenalien39  403.1 #491 10:25AM

Thank you for the info! I always love learning new things about the attractions. - MrsSchnooks  2833.0 #37 11:10PM
Would they really "bolt" a first edition book? They're worth thousands of dollars if not more - cesium55  531.6 #338 1:17AM
Perhaps it was already damaged? - bluefairy  643.3 #261 2:06AM
Thank for the insider fun facts! - missariel33  1614.9 #82 9:18AM
Even damaged I'm sure it's worth something. Maybe not even money. Plus it's history. I have a 1960's hardcover of Alice in Wonderland but the cover's ripping off. I wouldn't bolt it. - cesium55  531.6 #338 9:41AM
