On this day in 1928, Walt Disney premieres the first animated short with a synchronized sound track. Steamboat Willie features a promising young character that we have all grown to love. Happy Birthday Mickey Mouse!
We just watched an episode of Pawn Stars; they bought a set of Disney figurines that supposedly were made for a Disney theme park in Italy that never materialized. Now I'm wondering if Disney really ever planned to open a park in Italy or not. Who out there knows? Lacey?
My family and I are in Solvang this week (so relaxing). We were looking in a gallery and saw the most beautiful Thomas Kincade paintings; Snow White, Cinderella, Bambi and The Princess and the Frog. Very detailed and just gorgeous! I wish I could afford one of each.
We're at the Temecula mall. I tried to stay out of the Disney Store, but no can do. At least I didn't have to purchase the kids any toys; they were happy with Toy Story jammies. I did finally break down and got myself a small Ferb doll for work. His name is a really important acronmym in my line of work.
What a great day. I just found out that my husband ordered me an iPhone (finally I can post wait times ) and WOC picnic tickets for next weekend. Now I can use my iPod exclusively for work. I feel so lucky!
Just got back home from DL. We got to experience the Tomorrow Land evacuation first hand. At first they just closed EO and SM, so we went on the virtual version of Nemo. There were a ton of people in line when we went in, but we think they forgot we were in there, because when we came out, everyone was gone. The CMs looked surprised to see us and rushed us out of there. Luckily, SM reopened befor More...
My little boy and I had a wonderful day at DL yesterday. He saw Captain EO for the first time and I had my first Dole Whip (all the talk made me curious). Sadly, I'm dependent on free wifi, so no posting from the park. We saw something I've not seen before, the Disneyland Game Squad. When did they start that?
