I love all things Disney, especially Disneyland. I'd build a summer home there if I could.

I really like a lot of the villains, but as far as pure evilness goes, you have to give it to Malifecent. She doesn't just destroy Aurora (although that was her original plan), but rather locks up her true love to watch him suffer for a hundred years, and promises to release him only once he is to old to enjoy the (cough cough) youthful charms of his lover. And the reason behind this evil scheme? She didn't get invited to a party. Wow. - LittleAprilShowers  557.3 #311 8:57AM

I'm sure that your daughter would be pleased if you went. It shouldn't be too hard to play nice at the happiest place on earth.
When my parents divorced they remained friends. Even when they remarried we spent all our holidays together and the step parents became friends. It made my life so much easier. I will always be grateful that they sacrificed a little comfort to put me and my sisters first. Go enjoy, your daughter will look back someday and be proud of you! - matildamouse  196.4 #1914 9:23AM
Same with my family. I agree, go and have fun for your daughter πŸ˜ƒ - Nicole  380.2 #514 9:38AM
Couldn't agree with this more! Sacrifice the awkward for your child's sake. And this is a good step towards keeping things friendly. Although, this only works if you two can handle being around each other. Also, he wouldn't have invited you on his day if he minded. - KylaShea  629.1 #267 9:43AM
My parents are divorced they found them self seeing they are better friends then together. I'm now 30 and they still get along my dad & stepmom, my mom & stepdad and my siblings and our families ALL go out of town together our next trip is WDW... Having parents that get along makes it easy on the child she will feel like she doesn't have to choose and all those special moments birthdays, graduation and such will be great memories that both parents are there...now there are moments you will argue but pick your battles, some times agree to disagree, and remember the child is the most important part of the new relationship you now have. - Singh2011  183.3 #2076 9:36AM
It's your daughter Birthday, she only turns 2 once. I would go. If he does try to create a scene take a deep breath, grab your daughter and walk away. Enjoy your daughter Birthday don't let your ex ruin that special moment for you. - VfxGenie  1505.0 #86 10:19AM
I'm divorced with young kids and I know any time my ex & I can spend time with all of us together, the kids really enjoy it. If you two can be together for a fun day for your daughter then do it:) I think it goes a long way to show your daughter that mommy & daddy can be friends. - supertracy  464.7 #394 10:37AM
Id like to add I do not enjoy spending time with him at all but I do it because I see how happy my kids are when we're all together. When he starts in and tries to pick at me I stand up for my self without anger or yelling and then let it go. I think it sets a good example for the kids. - supertracy  464.7 #394 10:43AM

The firework thing.....happens all the time! The worst I ever saw was this lady standing next to me tapped the woman on the shoulder to get her attention and said "You can't stand there...we've all been waiting here four hours or more" and the woman and her husband threatened the lady with assault for tapping her shoulder! They were escorted out in the end but not before the husband rudely shot back "God bless you lady, I hope you die in a car crash on the way home!" What is wrong with some people?! The sad part was they tried lying to the CM by saying they had been there all along. The entire crowd backed up the lady (who later mentioned she was a MWer :) ) I just can't believe some people... - Aquata  292.3 #855 3:09AM

I agree with the dress code idea. And I think it's time for them to really look in you bag at the check point, not just a quick glance! Makes me want to relive the scene in the movie "Colors". You know the one, where Sean Penn catche the kid tagging then sprays the paint in the kids face? But I love how they have to do it in the privacy of a stall so no one sees them. Disneyland is nostalgia, adventure, beauty, and total unadulterated bliss.
My dad was diagnosed with cancer, and my friend Marsha gave me a huge pick me up when we meet at Disneyland.. It was a great stress reliever for me. Also for her birthday we went to the Cove and meet up with a great group of MW'ers and then we went to ToT where I screamed to the top of my lungs to release some of that stress.

Disneyland has always and will be a special place for my family and I. When I was younger, we used to go about every year. The exciting feeling of entering those gates and walking towards the castle was a chance for us to leave all of our worries at home and a place to have fun as a family. I remember I wouldn't sleep the night before because I was so excited. Away from the park, I was (and currently still) reading and learning how this magical place was built and amazing people who designed and built everything. Now working at DL and being there about 5 days a week, the magic hasn't worn off in any way. I'm excited to go to work everyday and when I leave, I can't wait to be back. - BaseballMickey_CM  6085.3 #13 3:52PM

From the time I was little, I loved to be at Disneyland  ever since I was 5 years old. So... Now that I'm 17, I always saw Disneyland as my safe haven, my sanctuary . It's the place where I'm safe and free. In allowed to be the silliest girl I could ever be  so that's why now whenever I go, I always have to read the sign over the bridge entrance that tells me that I have entered a world full of fantasy  so yea.I love it so much . The Princes and more male characters in general. And NOT all aggressive and fighting. Worst marketing to date of the males characters Disney has done was 2002 or so. Nothing screams wrong more than Peter Pan with an aggressive grimiace, all buffed up with very angular lines, lunging at you with a larger than a dagger sword! Disney needs to stop branding to just girls. And buying Marvel to fill that void IS NOT the way I mean. There are so many great, strong male characters to brand to boys! - Autoalice  157.6 #2454 1:29PM
Sorry..that went a little ranty. - Autoalice  157.6 #2454 1:32PM
