#FACT: You ever wondered why the speed limit is such an odd number like 14 MPH? There's been a lot of weird rumors on why it is 14 but the truth is because if we had the speed limit at 15, we couldn't use our own security, we would have to have deputized security and police
Interesting, thanks for the fact!  - LBChica  1499.9 #51 4:31PM

This tree is located two miles from Disneyland on west st....Do you know it's importance in Disneyland History?
Walt saw this tree in the area and called up his imagineers and said this is the tree I want the swiss family Robinson treehouse to be modeled after....so they all went down and sketched the tree....if I look at the original attraction poster and the tree house itself it looks spot on....the tree is about 150 years old and is an Australian fig tree and was believed to been planted there by early German settlers....if u go and stand next to the tree it's a giant and the roots are massive and have a banyan tree style look to it....I took this pic today - Dave  8632.1 #2 2:58PM

##Disneyland Fun Facts #2 - Big Thunder Mountain Railroad opened, September 2, 1979 and was designed by Imagineer Tony Baxter and ride design engineer Bill Watkins. The concept came from Baxter's work on fellow Imagineer Marc Davis's concept for the Western River Expedition. The rock work designs are based on the hoodoos of Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah.

##Disneyland Fun Fact - Big Thunder Mountain actually has a storyline to it. The mountain received it's name from an old Indian tale warning that if anyone was to deface this sacred mountain, a huge disaster would occur. The beginning of the ride is to show the natural beauty of the mountain and it's caverns. Yet it becomes pretty obvious that miners have now taken over the once peaceful mountain.  More...

Any recommendations for breakfast in DLR? I will probaby be at the parking lot by 7:30 AM. Is there anything open at that time? Denny's didn't cut it for me last time 
The La Brea Bakery by the trams was good...or if you want to spend $$$ and have a nice breakfast than do the Storytellers Cafe breakfast. - RoyannaF  376.6 #362 12:17PM
Carnation Cafe is good but not sure what time they start serving! - Dreamseeker  526.9 #217 12:18PM
Storyteller's has a buffet and I have never eaten anything disappointing there. Goofy's Kitchen has all the basics - eggs, bacon, waffles, pancakes, etc with a couple nice touches like smoked salmon. It wasn't bad but I'd recommend Storyteller's for that kind of money. And this may sound weird but if you can wait until DCA opens, its awesome to walk over to the wharf and get a bread bowl of chowder. - BlueberryCrusader  650.5 #162 12:32PM
