Born & raised in Orange County. Disneyland has always been a huge part of my life as I lived down the street from the park(s) most of my life. Now hubby & I get to create magical memories with our 2 wonderful children.

Hello MWers!  We've been AP holders for years, but have only been on RSR once and that happened last summer when we got to the park before it opened. We stood in line and were able to walk right on the ride. We're hoping to do that again, but on the day we're going DCA has magic morning. Should the line still be reasonable or is our best bet getting a FP instead?
The process has changed for DCA magic mornings. If you have a magic morning, the FP line will not be open, thus, guests will be directed straight onto the attraction. In my opinion, I would get a FP - BaseballMickey_CM  5789.7 #13 10:22AM
I would get a fast pass. The fast pass line moves very quickly. Enjoy!! - MyHeartbelongstoBeast  276.6 #939 3:01PM

We are attending Mickey's Halloween Party for the first time this Friday.  We are planning to dress up our son.  Do most adults dress up for this event too?  Will we look out of place in our regular clothes?
Most adults do dress up and I think it is more enjoyable if you do. :) - justcallmeKP  224.1 #1522 2:56PM
A mix of both. Lots of adults do dress up, but there are a lot that don't. Either way it's fun. - DLKenCA  1386.6 #87 2:56PM
I say have fun and dress up, makes good family photos. - madsdad  1800.7 #65 3:15PM
Mix of both... You wont feel out of place in reg clothes.  Everyone gets a bag and can get in line for the treats.  So much fun getting candy! - parkfan2  40.3 #4609 3:40PM

Someone reported 25 minutes for RSR? Is that a typo?
It is now the off season so it could be correct. The single rider line shows that its less than 15 minutes.  - KermitFan13  643.1 #249 6:19PM

My hubby loves going to the parks, but refuses to ever wear anything Disney or affiliate. I think we have a breakthrough! Next goal is to get him to wear Mickey ears!!!
Good luck! - BombFrogCM  666.7 #235 8:37PM
LoL my bf will wear mickey shirts but that's it! He said I'll never get him to wear ears!  - luxkitty  1179.1 #107 8:39PM
Ok, Maybe The Ears Are A Stretch. He Did Like A Mickey Hat & Almost Bought It. - ocmama  28.1 #5295 7:36AM
Haha my boyfriend is the same way! We've been trying to convince him to get ears for a while now with no success. He doesn't own a single piece of Disney clothing. I bet if I forced him, he would wear, but I do t want to force him... Lol - lohofosho  784.4 #185 9:23AM
Aww. My bf only volunteered for a quick pic with ears. Lol and he knew I would appreciate if he wore a Mickey shirt so he did ONCE lol you should hint maybe he will do it!  - princessb5  162.9 #2348 9:29AM
Haha when we go to WDW in January, my friend and I want to make us all personalized matching shirts, and he has agreed to that, so that's a step! lol - lohofosho  784.4 #185 9:46AM
Like if I bought him a Disney shirt and brought it home for him, he would totally wear it to the parks... For ME. Lol I'm still waiting to find something I think that HE would really love and actually want to wear.  - lohofosho  784.4 #185 9:47AM

Where is the best place to get a Donald and/or Chip & Dale shirt for my little guy?
Try Main Street Clothiers on Main Street. There is a room just for kids. Not sure if they have Donald or Chip and Dale shirts, but that would be the best place to start. If not, try World of Disney. - BaseballMickey_CM  5789.7 #13 10:52AM

My 4 year old braved Splash Mountain for the first time. You can see his eye in between the woman's fingers & I'm holding on to him for dear life. He didn't even need it. He did so well.

Me too. I am often mocked by my little nephew and other small children when I get scared on Splash, Space and Soaring. So embarrassing. :) - DeadliestPassholder  171.8 #2206 9:26AM

I love the soft serve at Paradise Pier. Is there a place in the parks that has the same serve dipped in chocolate?
Clarabelle's on Buena Vista St may have something similar to that. - KermitFan13  643.1 #249 10:42AM
Cozy Cone Ice Cream Cone does, but it doesn't taste the same. We tried getting it last time and they said the chocolate was too soft, even in a swirl, to be out in a cone or to be dipped in chocolate. Was super bummed! He ice cream did not taste as good as the pier either. - 1Princess3Princes  350.8 #569 4:16PM

Hubby & I are celebrating our anniversary on August 20th. We usually go to our favorite steak house, but would like to do something different this year. Suggestions on a nice romantic dinner in the parks or resort?
Napa rose or Carthay. Catal is nice too. If you want to do casual yet have decent food, UVA. - madsdad  1800.7 #65 10:24AM
We just ate at UVA a couple weeks ago for the first time, and burger and fries were excellent! - debbiev  749.7 #195 10:57AM

Maybe a MWer who is a club 33 member can add you to the reservation list that would be SO AWESOME πŸ˜€ - SacTownzSultan  97.4 #3388 10:30AM

Need advice. Trying to decide between Minnie & Friends breakfast at 10:30 a.m. or Goofy's Kitchen dinner at 5pm. Anyone done both and prefer one over the other?
Goofy's Kitchen for the food, Plaza Inn for the cuddly characters (this does not include Cptn Hook). - Linzee  783.2 #186 9:45AM
I have done both and I agree with this. - keepmovingforward  67.4 #3842 9:50AM

We went 2weeks ago to Minnie &friend and saw hook - minniel0verβ„’  212.5 #1676 3:16PM
lol, I meant that Hook isn't cuddly - Linzee  783.2 #186 3:44PM
We've done both several times now over many years. I'm not a fan of Goofys. The characters interactions are MUCH better and more frequent at Minnie's and I think the plaza in the park is just the most perfect and beautiful setting. I don't think we'll ever pay for Goofys again. Only reason I'd be tempted is the PB&J pizza πŸ˜„ - Sweet_Irish_Cream  3652.5 #24 10:38AM
And mornings in the park are so fun! It's just such a fun way to start the day with breakfast in the park with all your favorite characters! Such a great memory! 😊 - Sweet_Irish_Cream  3652.5 #24 10:41AM
Yes. - GrumpyPirateDad  1744.2 #68 3:00PM
I have a 5yr old and we did Minnie and friends 2 weeks ago and we loved it! Even though I've had my AP for many years now this was the first time we ate there and was so worth it. I was told the characters can change. We saw, Minnie, chip n Dale, hook, fairy godmother, perla, rafiki , Winnie the pooh, tigger, eyeore, Pluto. I know there was a couple more I can remember. But the plus is Minnies is inside Dland so it convenient.hope this helps an have fun :) - minniel0verβ„’  212.5 #1676 3:03PM
Also the characters come so much it's hard to eat lol but that's a good thing. And Def make a rsvp - minniel0verβ„’  212.5 #1676 3:05PM
Perla? I felt there was way more interaction at Minnie's then we have ever experienced at Goofy's. - Lelundrial  441.0 #417 3:08PM
Perla is one of the girl mice in Cinderella she normally goes around with the fairy God mother - minniel0verβ„’  212.5 #1676 3:11PM
Same here. Been an AP holder for many years and this will be our first character dining experience. - ocmama  28.1 #5295 3:48PM
Glad I'm not the only one :) - minniel0verβ„’  212.5 #1676 4:34PM
