Born & raised in Orange County. Disneyland has always been a huge part of my life as I lived down the street from the park(s) most of my life. Now hubby & I get to create magical memories with our 2 wonderful children.

How do we go about seeing the Aladdin show? Do we still need a FP or is it first come first serve now?

Great show! The Genie keeps the jokes relevant. No bad seat. It's long, like 45 minutes. And no bathroom in the building so plan for that. - Taunton  1808.0 #103 8:26PM
They don't do fast passes. You go stand in line. Last couple times I've had to stand in line for 30-45min to get a good seat. I have seen people run up at the last minute before doors close and they have to go all the way to the top of the theater for seats. - thatgirljenn  1876.2 #99 2:52PM
I went to the original Aladdin show for my birthday whwheN was a kid, you had to pay and they served food and you got a chocolate magic lamp. I want to take my son to see it but wasn't sure if they still have food or charges or t reservations? - JAYMEandNOAH  3.0 #46595 10:22PM
JAYMEandNOAH no food and no reservations. You don't have to pay and there isn't a chocolate lamp 😊  - TinyDancerTay  672.3 #330 10:52PM
JAYMEandNOAH Are you talking about the dinner show that used to be in Adventureland? They no longer do that, but they have an Aladdin play at the Hyperion theater in DCA.   - Spoonful_O_Sugar  659.1 #335 9:12AM
Thank you for all the replies & the tip about the bathroom. Looking forward to spending Mother's Day in the parks & finally seeing this show!  - ocmama  42.5 #5336 9:03AM

Friends of ours are planning to see Disneyland in all its Christmas glory for the first time this year. Due to schedules, they can only do one day on the weekend. Based on your experience, which weekend would be less crowded, Dec. 6 (candlelight processional weekend) or Dec. 13 (last weekend for some AP)?

I would say Dec 13 based on past things I've read. The. Candlelight nights are always busy.  - warchanted  174.9 #2410 5:36PM
Saturdays are often less crowded.  - JenGwen323  2087.9 #83 5:41PM

I know this is a bit late, but we had great time at Mickey's Halloween Party. We went the exact time as last year & both times were sold out. However, this year it seemed a lot more crowded. Still plan on making this a yearly tradition.

Thanks! He got lots of compliments all night long. Even the cast members were having a great time playing with him. - ocmama  42.5 #5336 12:12PM
I found the party we went to extremely crowded... more so than during the day. - kimdis  56.8 #4729 12:05PM
I noticed that too. Last year you could see the crowds thin out after closing, but not this time. Last year we got to Main Street 10 minutes prior to the start of the parade & there was plenty of room. This year we got there 30 minutes prior & no room. They had to have up the amount of tickets sold. - ocmama  42.5 #5336 12:11PM
I agree... we still had fun. During the day was more relaxing though. - kimdis  56.8 #4729 12:27PM

Hello MWers!  We've been AP holders for years, but have only been on RSR once and that happened last summer when we got to the park before it opened. We stood in line and were able to walk right on the ride. We're hoping to do that again, but on the day we're going DCA has magic morning. Should the line still be reasonable or is our best bet getting a FP instead?

The process has changed for DCA magic mornings. If you have a magic morning, the FP line will not be open, thus, guests will be directed straight onto the attraction. In my opinion, I would get a FP - BaseballMickey  8086.5 #13 10:22AM
I would get a fast pass. The fast pass line moves very quickly. Enjoy!! - MyHeartbelongstoBeast  302.6 #966 3:01PM

We are attending Mickey's Halloween Party for the first time this Friday.  We are planning to dress up our son.  Do most adults dress up for this event too?  Will we look out of place in our regular clothes?

Most adults do dress up and I think it is more enjoyable if you do. :) - justcallmeKP  274.4 #1208 2:56PM
A mix of both. Lots of adults do dress up, but there are a lot that don't. Either way it's fun. - DLKenCA  3015.9 #51 2:56PM
I say have fun and dress up, makes good family photos. - madsdad  1868.2 #100 3:15PM
Mix of both... You wont feel out of place in reg clothes.  Everyone gets a bag and can get in line for the treats.  So much fun getting candy! - parkfan2  40.4 #5466 3:40PM

My hubby loves going to the parks, but refuses to ever wear anything Disney or affiliate. I think we have a breakthrough! Next goal is to get him to wear Mickey ears!!!

Good luck! - BombFrogFormerCM  1072.2 #192 8:37PM

Haha my boyfriend is the same way! We've been trying to convince him to get ears for a while now with no success. He doesn't own a single piece of Disney clothing. I bet if I forced him, he would wear, but I do t want to force him... Lol - lohofosho  785.0 #264 9:23AM
Aww. My bf only volunteered for a quick pic with ears. Lol and he knew I would appreciate if he wore a Mickey shirt so he did ONCE lol you should hint maybe he will do it!  - princessb5  190.9 #2202 9:29AM
Haha when we go to WDW in January, my friend and I want to make us all personalized matching shirts, and he has agreed to that, so that's a step! lol - lohofosho  785.0 #264 9:46AM
Like if I bought him a Disney shirt and brought it home for him, he would totally wear it to the parks... For ME. Lol I'm still waiting to find something I think that HE would really love and actually want to wear.  - lohofosho  785.0 #264 9:47AM

Where is the best place to get a Donald and/or Chip & Dale shirt for my little guy?

Try Main Street Clothiers on Main Street. There is a room just for kids. Not sure if they have Donald or Chip and Dale shirts, but that would be the best place to start. If not, try World of Disney. - BaseballMickey  8086.5 #13 10:52AM

My 4 year old braved Splash Mountain for the first time. You can see his eye in between the woman's fingers & I'm holding on to him for dear life. He didn't even need it. He did so well.
