We are planning a trip to Disneyland and California Adventure.  I checked the historical crowd index, but since it just lists by month, it is really hard to tell what days are busy.  Our tentative dates are April 19-22.  That is three weeks after Easter, so I am hoping that it doesn't coincide with spring break.  Any thoughts about those dates?

If you use the "Magic Plan" in MouseWait it gives you a crowd index for each day.  - Boundin  864.5 #259 8:47PM
Thanks!  I hadn't seen Magic Plan... - LivingTheMagic  36.3 #5912 9:56PM
Those sound like great dates to me. After spring break and before grad nites. I wish I could go then...have fun! - PeppersGhost  428.4 #594 4:22PM
Because many school districts stagger their spring breaks, it is possible you'll run into crowds. Also, with Season of the Force and the 60th Celebration, generally crowds have been higher. We have just started to plan on higher crowds and then be pleasantly surprised on less busy days.  - TiggersAndTinks  203.7 #2105 4:40PM
look at the ap blockout dates too.  the socal passes are blocked out in the busy times. - MsTikiMermadam  2198.8 #88 4:01AM

We're going to DCA tomorrow and plan to get in line early for RSR fast passes. Is there a specific entry turnstile for the RSR FP line? We plan to get there really early so we can be near the beginning of the line. (DCA has early entry tomorrow, but we already used our early today at DL, so going standby first at 8:00 and then getting in FP line is not an option because of the early entry crowd  More...

It starts in front of the Carthy if you don't have EE. - HasAnyoneSeenMyGlassSlipper  717.1 #328 10:55PM
If you get there at ripe drop just hurry to the line-most likely there will be one formed already. (It's behind Carthay across from the grizzly waterfall before bugs land) we were there on Sunday at 9 and they hadn't run out yet. I couldn't believe it! So you might get very lucky and get a good return time. Enjoy! - missariel33  2115.6 #91 11:03PM
This will be my first time at DCA opening. Rope drop is after going through the turnstile? So best to be in the far left turnstile and run to be right on the rope? Then we stand in line until 8:00 to get FPs. My mom & dad didn't use their EE, so they will go in EE and bring their tickets to us in the FP line. Will that work? Sorry to be so ignorant... - LivingTheMagic  36.3 #5912 11:15PM
Yes, that will work with your parents, but I'd wait to collect the tickets until after rope drop. It's easier that way because they won't be able to get to you until then. - HasAnyoneSeenMyGlassSlipper  717.1 #328 11:19PM
They actually have a roped off line in the hall in front of the Carthay, so go as far left as you can, in front of the restaurant for the FP line. - HasAnyoneSeenMyGlassSlipper  717.1 #328 11:20PM
πŸ‘†Yes! You should be fine ex pet you need your tickets to get into the park. Idk how that will work if they have them for the fast pass machine. Maybe I'm missing something. Anyway as long as you're there at rope drop you should be fine. Your return time will be later the further back in line is all. And it's fun to ride at night anyway :) - missariel33  2115.6 #91 11:34PM
@missariel33 the parents are going to hand off their tickets after rope drop, so each person will have their ticket when entering. We've done this before when I've had EE, but my brother didn't. - HasAnyoneSeenMyGlassSlipper  717.1 #328 11:37PM
Got it! πŸ˜ƒ Was confused..thought u needed all the park tickets to get the FPs.. - missariel33  2115.6 #91 11:40PM
You do, but her parents can be inside playing, while she gets in with her ticket and waits in line. Right after rope drop, her parents can find her in line and give her their tickets. - HasAnyoneSeenMyGlassSlipper  717.1 #328 11:46PM
My parents will go through EE gate and into the park, not the FP line. They can then just come up to us after we're in the line by Carthay and give us their tickets and go on their merry way while we wait in FP line. - LivingTheMagic  36.3 #5912 11:53PM
The line moves quickly after rope drop. Especially if you're there early enough to be right in front of the restaurant. - HasAnyoneSeenMyGlassSlipper  717.1 #328 11:55PM
Forget the fp head for the line, about 30-40 min wait (and before it breaks down). - dizneedude  1889.7 #107 11:23PM
30-40 min at 8:00 after 7:00 early entry? - LivingTheMagic  36.3 #5912 11:52PM
No, not considering early entry. - dizneedude   1889.7 #107 11:53PM
Thanks for all the great input! Tomorrow is the last of our 4 day park hopper, so we really want to do RSR. If we can't get FPs we might just do single rider. - LivingTheMagic  36.3 #5912 11:56PM

#TIPS #ACRONYMS #DICTIONARY Thanks to everyone for posting acronyms and directing me to the post with 300 comments! I wanted to make a contribution to this amazing community of MWers, so I took all of that info, plus some from other posts, cleaned it up and alphabetized. I'm posting here, but maybe Admin can add to FAQs or SIC can add to MW101? (I can email a Word file.) (I kept most of the sil  More...

Is there someplace with all the acronyms you use? I'm new to MW and get some of the obvious ones (IASW and POTC) but for others I don't have a clue (ROA and TLT).

Hello everyone! I just got this app and have read the rules, FAQs and 101s (missing 6&9?) and have lurked in the lounge for a couple of days. I'm looking forward to a 4 day park hopper visit next week with my brother (we're both mid-50s) and parents (late 80s). None of us have been to DL or DCA for about 2 years. I love this app, and reading all of your posts and pics has gotten me excited  More...
