Love all things Disney! I don't even mind the lines, it allows for conversation. Daughter loves it as much as I do, wifey is close but calls it after 8-10 hours :)! "Be kind b/c everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle". Plato

Hey, my aunt contacted me to tell me my grandmother passed away this evening. She was at home with her remaining children. That is the way she wanted it. Funny you should ask...I made peach flambΓ© tonight and the wife and daughter said it was the best thing they have had. I of course drank all the leftover rum πŸ˜‚

Hi!!! Actually my brother is having a sleepover today because it's his birthday soon. And we just finished with dessert. It was a 31 flavored ice cream cake, pretty good, I'm a slow eater so it melted all over my paper plate. I don't know what the silliest dessert I've eaten is... I'll probably think of it right before I get into bed. - SKellingtonPlayingUke+Soccer  178.3 #0 9:55PM
@SKellingtonPlayingUke+Soccer.. Yummy.. - makeitbluesaysmerriwether  323.9 #843 10:05PM
I changed it to best. But that ice cream cake sounds pretty good to me right now. Was it 31 total flavors or certain flavors? - secretagentangel  8515.8 #11 10:16PM
secretagentangel I meant Baskin Robins. Our family calls it 31 flavors. That's what it originally was called I think. Definenty good in this weather. - SKellingtonPlayingUke+Soccer  178.3 #0 10:45PM
I think it still called Baskin-Robbins 31 flavors they just don't use the whole thing anymore or maybe they have more than 31 flavors. I like their ice cream cake. - secretagentangel  8515.8 #11 10:49PM
makeitbluesaysmerriwether It was yummytastic! Except for all the melted stuff. - SKellingtonPlayingUke+Soccer  178.3 #0 10:49PM
What was the flavor? I bought ny Dad a Baskin Robins Ice Cream cake last week for his BDay. It was strawberry with yellow cake. I kind of bought it last minute otherwise I would've bought him a better flavor😊 - SKELLIGIRL  65.2 #4464 12:02AM

On average we wait 20 min from ordering our meal, but again I don't mind cuz I like the company. One time I waited 5 min for a beer, but I was alone so it took forever. Enstein calle  More...

I think the longest wait is usually Toy Story Mania. I don't care tho bcuz I love this attraction! I've been fortunate with RSR bcuz I could be at rope drop even when it just opened.  Otherwise, I'll do single rider. My son has had the best low wait times on CA Screaming. Usually as a single rider.  The other extremely long wait is Goofy's Sky School. Always so popular! - Saldogmom  7.8 #13784 2:12PM

Food is more than just nourishment, all animals eat. But we as a species make it more, a social interaction with rituals and protocol. Three courses at a minimum, with drinks paired to enhance the moment. The first restaurants were created after the French Revolution, separating us as a society from the protocols of the past...however tonight my dinner sucked 😳

One time on Christmas some stray dogs went in through the back door and made off with our turkey. We ended up going to a Chinese restaurant where the waiters sang Christmas carols. They said fara ra ra ra ra instead of fala la la la la. Then I went home and opened my present which was a rifle and I shot my eye out.  - phillip...  1393.1 #140 11:02PM

Ha!  This is a great question!  I'm not much of a cook--for most of my married life, either my husband or myself have been working late hours and cooking dinner just wasn't a priority, especially cooking for just one or two people--but schedules/commutes are wayyyy better now, and I'm learning as I go.  Every time we move, there's a "breaking in" period with the new kitchen.  Ovens don't cook the same from house to house or it's different cooking on a gas vs electric stove, etc.  so the first batch of cookies ends up overcooked after the regular 9 mins, or potatoes won't cook right or something like that.  When I was first really learning, I tried a recipe that called for deglazing the pan, and I didn't know what that meant so I googled, and ended up watching some ridiculous YouTube that made it look really complicated 😐 I got all flustered trying to do it and ended up ruining the whole thing πŸ˜‚ Now I know that all I was supposed to do was pour in the wine and scrape the pan, but geeze!  That video was a stupid explanation πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ - Spoonful_O_Sugar  659.6 #335 8:56AM

The daughter was scared the whole time in line and asked a million questions about the ride. The mom kept telling her that it wasn't a scary ride and it was for very little kids just like IASW. Someone next to us asked how old she was and the mom replied "four". Then they asked how she was going to handle the drops and when the daughter got scared to hear about that, the mom told her that the woman was lying and there weren't any drops. After hearing that, pretty much all of us spoke up and said this wasn't a good idea and she said that if her daughter knew that it was a scary ride then they wouldn't be able to go on it! She was seated in front of us for the ride and when it was done, she didn't speak when her parents kept asking how she liked it. Imho, that was practically abusive😞 - Nala  386.0 #629 9:18AM
Saw something similar when getting on Space Mountain. The youngest was about 5, and was scared in the queue. Older sister was about 11 and kept telling her "It is just like a merry-go-round." The apprentice and I both were shaking our heads, and I was getting angry. The kid was clearly scared and didn't want to go on. Father, and two other adults were in the group. They just dragged her through the queue. Then they get to boarding, she couldn't go on anyway because she wasn't tall enough. The parents could have switched off and not dragged the kid on. I didn't even bother with those rides until my boy was tall enough. Even then I waited for him to tell me he was ready. - Lelundrial  820.4 #249 10:30AM
Exactly! That's the only way to do it since the kids need to be ready by their own decision to go on a ride. I was hoping so badly that this girl wouldn't meet the height requirement, but sadly she did. I think it's very traumatizing for kiddos to endure a fast/scary ride when they didn't want to do it in the first place :( - Nala  386.0 #629 11:10AM

Yay ! I'm glad you got home safely. That's a lot of fun stuff to look forward to in the next few months. I hope you can contain  excitement a  little ,OK , a tiny bit before then! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ - secretagentangel  8515.8 #11 10:43PM
Definitley looking forward to cooler weather, and my favorite period of the calendar year: the Halloween, Thanksgiving, Xmas, & New Years corridor. - HARR_E  6413.4 #23 11:45PM
The cooler weather would be nice, hoping it will cool down! Great photos tonight,  of course!  I can't wait till Christmas. - secretagentangel  8515.8 #11 12:04AM
I second the cooler weather! I am ready for sweater weather! - Enviro  460.3 #516 2:32AM
Fireplace, fall and winter fashion (come on far better than spring and summer...at least for men), fall foods, hockey, Rogue One, hotel deals in Mexico and Palm Springs, and lots of family time.  - dizneedude  1826.7 #102 12:03AM
Lots of family time sounds great! Sounds like you're already planning all your fun! - secretagentangel  8515.8 #11 12:07AM

Custodial job at the parks. A thankless job that is still done without accolades. And Small World CM's needing to listen to that god awful song over and over again.

Unsung hero?  Secretagentangel. She fills in and does more Up Late With Mousewaits than anyone. She hosts meet ups and holds parade spots for complete strangers. She says the most beautiful prayers for those of us in need, even when she's in need of our prayers. I only hope to meet her someday.  - disneyforme  778.9 #269 9:50PM
She's da bomb, no doubt  - dizneedude   1826.7 #102 9:52PM
I agree, SAA  is definitely an unsung hero, hosting PTN meet-ups for the last 18 months - NvNana  198.2 #2100 10:03PM
100% agree. The beautiful prayers she says always makes me feel good even if they aren't intended for me πŸ˜€ - EvilqueenRS  704.2 #307 10:04PM
Awww! 😭😭😭😭😭 you're too sweet. I do that because I've met so many wonderful mousewaiters through this app and being sick and taking care of a disabled brother I don't get to meet people as often as I'd like to. So this app has  done a lot for me so I like to do a lot for this app. And I completely love admin and his family and want him to continue to be successful because then we get to stay on MouseWait  forever!! . I've met the best people on here!! And I hope I get to meet all of you and all who I haven't met yet soon too.😘😘😍😍 - secretagentangel  8515.8 #11 10:04PM
And by the way when I pray,  I just ask  the Holy Spirit to pray so they're not my prayers.  I don't want to take credit for something God gives me. He just uses me in a good way. And it  blesses me to pray for others. 😘😘 - secretagentangel  8515.8 #11 10:06PM
Here here!!! πŸ˜€  Well said! - redsoxcarlos  4126.9 #40 10:18PM
SAA is someone very special. Not only on MW but in life and all that she touches  - Goofytom  3132.0 #49 10:25PM
I met her last week... she is awesome! - HalfCaff  682.9 #322 10:25PM
After reading SAA's responses, I should add - she's also humble.  - disneyforme  778.9 #269 3:25PM

I totally agree with the custodial people and all the other maintenance workers during the graveyard shift at Disneyland! - sheridanrabbit  738.8 #292 9:35PM
I'm sure there's many a IASW CM that has made up their own lyrics. Or learned to tune it out with a song in their head. I think  custodial is the best too. And we have two Custodiol CMs  as mousewaiters that I know of,  Willierose and Melody_CM! I think there's one or two more actually. They have to be so multi talented   to have that job.😍😍 - secretagentangel  8515.8 #11 9:41PM
I agree with IASW CMs. I always think it would be like an episode of twilight zone to stuck in a boat on that ride!😨😡 - Bobbierocha  191.0 #2199 9:42PM
Thank you everyone for the kudos. Custodial CMs are Disney ninjas. We are one of the only CMs that travel to all the lands, hence our white costumes fit in. Not only are we maintaining the beauty of the park, but we are answering questions from the guests like walking information booths. We could be compared to a version of guest relations, yet like anywhere CM hierarchy does exist. I wish all CMs could have a stint at custodial.  - Willierose  2375.1 #72 11:06PM
dlr custodians and maintenance are amazing!  i notice every visit how clean the parks are,  and how well stuff works. - MsTikiMermadam  1501.2 #126 12:22AM
my great grandmother was amazing.  widowed in 1918 at age 21.  worked in overall factories for over 45 yrs.  and sent my grand mother to university in the 30s.  i am fourth generation union woman because of her. - MsTikiMermadam  1501.2 #126 12:19AM
That's amazing. The people of that generation were awesome. They didn't care how hard work was  they just wanted to get their family ahead.!  - secretagentangel  8515.8 #11 12:48AM
