I live near Vancouver, Canada. I LOVE all things Disney! I don't get to Disneyland as often as I'd like, but I countdown to the next trip ALL the time 😊

Hello MouseWaiters! Just wondering if any one knows of any great travel agents/ agencies for booking a trip to Disneyland? Hubby and I have WestJet dollars to use for our trip, but it seems really pricey for when we want to go... I know that the summer is a little busier (and more expensive) than other times, and that with the birthday it may be different (?) but I remember seeing some deals last   More...
Try getaway today  - grumpyinphx  177.6 #2156 9:05PM
Getaway today or AAA... I'm sure though the hotels are jacking up the prices this summer in preparations for the big 60th too... I've noticed the soonest you can book a room the cheaper it will be. We always book like 9 months in advance to get the best rate. Good luck!! - brodysmommy  370.8 #548 9:12PM
- ames013  73.8 #3807 9:21PM
It looks like Westjet prices are quite high right now. Might have to wait for a seat sale. Do you have the Westjet MasterCard? Might be worth booking the hotel separate and using the companion fare? - quote  20.4 #0 6:57AM
Yeah I was looking at that, but to book the hotel separately was almost as much as booking a whole WestJet vacation! I was hoping to maybe find the hotel cheaper elsewhere and use the companion flight (hooray WestJet MasterCard!) ☺️ - ames013  73.8 #3807 11:28AM
I hear you. Earlier this month we flew westjet and the incremental cost for bundling the hotel was only 40 dollars per person. You can't beat that. Did you look at a good neighbour hotel? Hojo usually has a good deal. Where are you flying from? Let me know if you find something. Sounds like we're in the same situation. Would love to keep the magic goIng each year. Have you looked at costco travel? - quote  20.4 #0 5:50PM
We are kind of hoping fora DL hotel, so we can get the extra magic hour, but we may change our minds... So far everything is comparable to westjet, but hubby and I both have the card, so we have more WestJet dollars than anything to get a deal... Will keep you posted though! Flying from Vancouver. You? - ames013  73.8 #3807 10:43PM
Calgary. The magic hour at DCA is well worth it. Rode radiator springs racer 3 times before the gates were open to the general admission. The pools look great at the disney hotels as well. If we find anything we will let you know.  - quote  20.4 #0 9:19PM

Hi all! I'm trying to get an early start on Christmas shopping (yep- *THAT* guy...) and I was wondering if anyone knows if they have "Mickey Mouse Fire Department" t-shirts, or anything? Hubby is a fire fighter, and I'm sure would love something Disney/ fire, and we already have the Christmas ornaments (I'm still considering the Mickey and Fire fighter "thank you for your service statue...) I know  More...
I wish there was more rescue personnel themed Disney merch like t-shirts and hats.   - DisneyDavidEMT  1603.0 #82 5:12PM
Not sure on mickey firefighter stuff, but I bet you could find some Planes Fire & Rescue stuff near condor flats in CA.  - BibbidiBobbidiMe  87.8 #3575 4:22PM
Thanks! I'll look online... Haha. I won't be in the parks anytime soon 😭 - ames013  73.8 #3807 4:38PM

Does anyone know if they sell license plate covers in the park? I was going to check the Disney store online, but may wait until I can get one actually from Disneyland. I just bought a new-to-me vehicle and am so excited to put some Disney touches on it! 😊
Pretty sure they do, only because I occasionally see them on a car driving around.   - Spoonful_O_Sugar  549.1 #323 10:40PM
I know there are a few kinds. The chrome one, the flimsy plastic, and then at one point I believe there was like a rubber one. Even though the flimsy plastic are the cheapest, they always seems to fade fairly quickly to the point where you can't even see the design anymore. I would recommend the chrome or rubber ones if you can find one of them since you will get your money's worth in the long run. Then again, if you get the flimsy ones I guess you could buy new ones and switch it more often. - MallE  161.9 #2403 11:57PM

After a particularly bad day, I've decided to turn things around with a good old fashioned #RAK. This RAK is for The Rescuers (original) on DVD. The DVD is brand new, but my little nephew got into my DVDs and took the plastic off of some (he's so helpful like that! πŸ˜‚) To enter you must be able to DM (or be willing to post your email so that I can get your address) and share your favourite D  More...
I hope your day gets better, in fact that you have a wonderful rest of the week :) I'd love to add 0moorad0, we started a Disney DVD collection as of recent and this would be a perfect addition. My tip is for pin trading and that is to not forget to check out the Disneyland Hotel (although a bit out of the way) for awesome cm pins. Alright MouseWaiters - I need you professional opinions!!! Hubby and I were talking about a Disneyland or (perhaps/ hopefully) a Disney World vacation for our Spring Break (sometime in and around March 13-28 2015) but the more I look at the past week, the more I'm compelled to go June 26/27 to July 3/4 next summer instead! It looks as though the crowds are more manageable, but maybe this past week  More...
If you have never need to DW, I would try that one. It's amazing to try at least once, especially Epcot.  - warchanted  137.2 #2784 9:10PM
Thanks! - ames013  73.8 #3807 9:22PM
You can never anticipate crowded or non-crowded days anymore because of the APs.  Go with the days and place you would prefer and enjoy everything about that time you have there.  I've never been to WDW either, so if you have the chance for WDW, I would do that. - potatohead25  575.6 #306 2:55PM
Thanks! I thought the same about crowds (although this past week 2 different AP's are blocked, so that's why I was curious...) - ames013  73.8 #3807 3:04PM
Plus lately the crowds have seemed lower? - ames013  73.8 #3807 8:01PM
Only thing to add is that the weather is much better in March/April (I've been in spring, summer and fall, and spring is best...not as hot as summer, and not as many storms as fall), but the crowds are lower in summer (hotels are way cheaper also!). Β Definitely stay on property! - msdizmaui  632.1 #270 10:54PM
Great point...this June was super hot, we almost wanted it to rain haha!  - MinnieMousewife  769.6 #206 10:56PM
I agree!  To me, the weather is a bigger detergent than the crowds are.  I have a summer b-day and have been to the parks several times at that time, and while I love warm weather in my everyday life, I much prefer being in the parks when it's cooler.   - Spoonful_O_Sugar  549.1 #323 10:57PM
"Detergent?"  Too funny, should be "deterent" but I'll leave it. πŸ˜‚  - Spoonful_O_Sugar  549.1 #323 10:58PM
Good one SoS...we knew what you meant!  But there's also the sticker shock when you see the hotel prices during Spring Break!  I went once in Oct. for a Disney Store Manager mtg.  The crowds were down but it stormed every day! - msdizmaui  632.1 #270 1:42AM
Are you referring to the weather in DL or WDW (or both??) we've been to DL twice recently at the beginning and end of May and both times it was a little cooler than we expected... The lower hotel price is a draw towards either place... I wasn't sure how the beginning of summer crowds at WDW compare to DL - with 2 APs blocked out at DL crowds seem smaller, but I didn't know if that translated over to WDW?? - ames013  73.8 #3807 11:06AM
I was talking about WDW.  - msdizmaui  632.1 #270 5:50PM

Hello MouseWaiters!!! I'm hoping you might be able to help me... My hubby and I are coming to the realization that our amazing honeymoon trip in March May not quite be within budget... HOWEVER, another trip to Disneyland just may be (hooray for WestJet dollars!!!) We are available from March 13-29 and are planning at least 5 days in park, but I know this is Spring Break season.. My question to you  More...
I've gone two or three times during spring break season over the last six or seven years.  While it is crowded, I did not think it was insanely crowded during any of those trips.  However, my gauge of crowds is probably different than other peoples' because the only times I'm actually able to visit are on major holidays.  I did not think that it was as crowded as the week before Christmas was, if that's any help?    - Spoonful_O_Sugar  549.1 #323 9:03PM
That is helpful! Thank you! Have you been in summer? Just wondering how it compares...? - ames013  73.8 #3807 9:24PM
I would say try to find out when LA schools and other nearby districts have their spring break next year. Then try to go on a different week. Other cities will be off then, but it might not be as bad.  - warchanted  137.2 #2784 10:04PM
Thank you! Great suggestion! Anyone know the answer?? - ames013  73.8 #3807 10:43PM
I am confused by the dates, but what I can say is even if it's crowded (spring or summer) go early, use fast passes, take it easy and enjoy yourself!!! Have fun!!!!! - Boundin  533.9 #337 10:56PM
We have just over a 2-week window in which to plan the trip, so I was wondering when might be best within that time frame, if that makes more sense? (And I mentioned my most recent trip in case anyone could say how the two different times compare, or if they're quite similar) - ames013  73.8 #3807 8:52AM
