Hey everyone! I haven't posted in a while but all of the live photos on here have been helping to keep my sanity for the past year, so first I just want to thank you all for those. Now, I'm happy to say that my annual Disneyland trip is finally approaching and, having experienced all of the attractions more times than I can count, I was curious if any of you had advice on some DL or DCA hidden gem  More...
I dont know if seeing pics helps me or hinders me. Sometimes it feels like I'm seeing an ex that I'm still in love with but he's with another girl. Lol - TrueFromOzLovesDisney  434.4 #423 7:28PM
I had no idea about the girl in the wall - TrueFromOzLovesDisney  434.4 #423 7:29PM
Haha okay, this is so true! But on one hand, at least I can still attempt to live vicariously through everyone else - MallE  147.8 #2559 7:30PM
Ture, sometimes it kind of is like a tease. With knowing we have a trip next year though its not so bad. I like to keep in touch with everything while I'm not there. - keepmovingforward  67.2 #3842 7:31PM

Oh I've heard of this! Thanks for the reminder, I plan on it! Do I just ask a Jungle Cruise cast member? - MallE  147.8 #2559 9:01PM

TiggersAndTinks that changed a month or two ago. They don't do public rides every day, but it doesn't hurt to ask. - HasAnyoneSeenMyGlassSlipper  543.6 #308 3:36PM
How do I go about asking? Will there be a CM at the station that I can ask? - MallE  147.8 #2559 3:21PM
I believe you need to ask a CM at the train station as soon as it opens. - MJmouse  259.5 #1112 9:57PM

Hey everyone! I haven't posted in a while but I'm looking for some opinions/advice about the Disney College Program. I'm currently a sophomore in college and have been very interested in this program for a few years now, however I'm looking for you all to share personal experiences or experiences of people you know in the program. I have read very mixed reviews online, some say it was the expe  More...
BaseballMickey_CM and lostgirl7988 could answer this questions maybe.  - IDVandalSkipperCM  2025.4 #53 5:17PM
Oh okay, thank you! Now I'm hoping that they see this 😁 - MallE  147.8 #2559 6:01PM
I would love to know more, as well. My son has been saying he wants to work for Disney since he was 5 years old! He's a freshman in high school right now, but I know college wil be here before we know it!  - nerdgirl  82.4 #3587 5:57PM
I have a friend who did it and she absolutely loved it.  It didn't ruin the Disney magic for her.  She loved it so much that she continues to work for them on PR stuff every once in a while, while being a full time engineer. - Gabster1forDodgers  521.2 #330 6:30PM
Just seeing this now...I did the program back in 2011 and have stayed with the Company since. I did the January-August program because it is the longer of the two choices. I was also at CSUF taking a full load of classes at the same time. Since you're a sophomore (the same age I did it),I would wait to either after you graduate or take a semester off because 1, you'll be working almost full time and you will be taking classes at DL also. Overall though I had a great experience. The classes you take give you the opportunity to meet CMs from all over the resort and the chance to network with many of the higher up CMs in management. Also, there are many magical experiences that you can take part in like tours of the Dream Suite, Walt's Apartment and riding Space Mountain with the lights on for a couple hours (these will vary depending on your term). To answer your question about WDW/DL, the WDW program is about 3-4 times larger than DL's because their resort is a lot bigger. If you like a smaller group, I would recommend DL. And no, after working at the park now for 3 years, the magic still lives on. To be honest, you do loose it a little when you first start because the entire operation can be a little overwhelming, but as you continue to interact with guests and watch the park from a different perspective then before, it renews it in you and it keeps going. - BaseballMickey_CM  5789.6 #13 8:28PM

Did I miss something about an update to the Facebook Trivia? Suddenly it is significantly lower scoring, and the bonus points for speed don't even seem to be added into your final score anymore. For example, the high score today is only 0.43 points, which would have been a nearly impossibly low score in the past. I tried using the search feature but couldn't find anything about this change.
Lounge/Wait times points > FB trivia points - vincentchase1  672.7 #231 3:34PM

Going to Disneyland in August! So I have a question for all of you, we are booking our hotel right now and looking for the best deal we can find. Being within walking distance is a must but we were possibly thinking about straying from Harbor Blvd and looking into Hotels on Katella Ave to find a better price. For those of you who have stayed over there, is it a reasonable distance to walk even aft  More...
I almost always stay on katella. I like the location of the anabella, best western, discovery inn, and Eden roc. The first two are a little nicer, the last two are a little scary. All of them are in a great spot to cut through the grand. Not a bad walk at all. Haven't used hotelopia, so I can't help you with that. - LittleAprilShowers  549.6 #304 9:22PM
Thank you so much! So for the last two, define scary.. Haha. And would you say the walking distance is about the same from Katella as it is from Harbor? - MallE  147.8 #2559 9:44PM
Not scary, just old, I've stayed at both. Ugly decor, but they had beds and showers which was all we needed, since we spent every waking hour in the park. Did need my own pillow though, but im picky like that. They are a farther walk than the hojo, but it's just a short stroll to the grand ( - LittleAprilShowers  549.6 #304 9:49PM
Yes LAS, I like Anabella too and they always run specials. Less crowded on Katella and a short walk to DTD where you can use the Monorail. - ShariRenee  3852.2 #22 9:57PM
Ooh I didn't think about being able to ride the monorail! The Anabella and Best Western are definite possibilities now, thank you both! - MallE  147.8 #2559 10:06PM
Mousewaits hotel is Howard Johnson and they have info on here about it. I usually stay with best western and use a aaa discount. The close one on katella is BW stovalls. You can walk to the park through grand California via downtown Disney. Check it out if you're aaa you save a bunch. - Marciamcmouse  31.8 #5046 9:26PM
Alright, definitely looking into that, thank you! - MallE  147.8 #2559 9:46PM
I really like the Ramada Main Gate. It's pretty much across the street. And I usually book through lastminutetravel.com - APirateslifeforme31  144.0 #2627 10:16PM
We normally stay at the motels on Harbor Blvd. We have stayed at both the BW ( however I prefer the Park Place Inn) The Carousel Inn is also a really nice place too. If you book directly through the motels you can get a pretty decent price. - MissyluvsDisneyland  361.9 #537 8:55AM

I apologize in advance if this post doesn't belong here but I have searched the lounge and read through all the rules and FAQs, as well as searched Facebook for the last hour and I cannot seem to find Mousewait Trivia. I really want an opportunity to earn some MW points but none of the links I have found have worked and Facebook searches keep coming up empty. Thank you for any help!

Hmmm, when I just type in Mouse on FB it shows up. Officially called Disneyland Mousewait Trivia Challenge. - ShariRenee  3852.2 #22 4:30PM
Also get to the parks and enter wait times if you can, great way to earn points for this fabulous app! - ShariRenee  3852.2 #22 4:36PM
Hm still can't seem to find it. Is it possible that it only works on computers and not phones? That could be my problem. I wish I could be entering wait times haha, unfortunately I only make it to the parks once a year but I plan on contributing some live pics and wait times next time I'm there :) - MallE  147.8 #2559 4:41PM
I can only get it to work on my computer and only from the actual link or side bar link, not from the Facebook page. - starwarsmamma  561.6 #298 4:42PM
Yes, computers only. - ShariRenee  3852.2 #22 4:44PM
points??? so overrated. hahahaha jk, so many different ways other than the trivia to earn points. You need to be on a actual computer (ipad didn't work for me) Great information alread given to you. These - pinkmonkeys  513.5 #338 7:00PM
Haha shoot is that the wrong terminology? Well thank you, I actually got it to work on my phone thanks to Linzee's link :) - MallE  147.8 #2559 7:37PM
Im glad you were able to get on. There are so many amazing MWers with such great info. MW points is always a HOT topic.I was totally joking. I like points and did the MW trivia too. - pinkmonkeys  513.5 #338 9:36PM

I have a question, are the fireworks in Disneyland currently the 50th anniversary, "Remember.. Dreams Come True" ones? I was in the park about a month ago and these were going on so I was curious if this was something that had to do with Limited Time Magic or if they would be back for long enough for me to see them on my summer trip.
During the summer they switch to the "Magical" fireworks, so unfortunately "remember" won't be back until after summer - MEHlanie_Mouse  1113.7 #119 12:45AM
Aw schucks, well thank you very much for the info! You wouldn't happen to know approximately the date they switch back to Remember? - MallE  147.8 #2559 12:48AM

Hello! I have had this app and checked it on a regular basis for over a year now but just got the courage to join the community! I live out of state but manage to go to Disneyland every year and feel very grateful for that, I wouldn't choose any other vacation! I'm so thankful for MW because it supports my addiction and I'm happy to finally contribute :)
Welcome!! I'm out of state and only go once a year as well. This is the perfect place to feed the addiction that Disney causes!! - SarahD005  4.4 #17468 8:27PM
