So I got to go on Ariels Undersea Adventure three times today. Pretty cool stuff. Lots of little details to look for. Make sure to look up after you 'descend' under the waves. Ursula is very well done, probably the highlight of the whole thing. I'm just glad my wife, who has been waiting 20 years, got to go three times and early! If you have questions, I can try to answer!
So, starting this weekend is a new show at DCA called "The Incredibles: Heroes In Training." They tweeted earlier today. My source inside says it's going to be similar to the Jedi Academy show at DL. Sounds like it might be fun for the kids!
So happy, the wife and I decided that we could afford to renew our Deluxe APs even with the addition of our 3 year old. We had been debating it for weeks and just last night made our decision. Another year of Disneyland and DCA! Woohoo!
Just got verified word that at least as of about an hour ago, Westward Ho, the pin shop in Disneyland had multiple Grape Soda pins. Don't know about the current status, but they were there an hour ago. If you are in the park, you got a shot!
So, Toy Story Midway Mania is supposed to be able to switch games through changing the software. Supposedly this was going to give them the ability to do holiday themed games during the seasons. Any word on if TSMM will do that this year?
I'm planning on having a Zen attitude at the park today. We've had season passes since January, so there's no need to get crazy trying to do everything. And we'll be coming back probably twice more before Christmas. So it's about being a center if calm with my wife and two daughters amidst the madness. We'll do what we can and what we can't, we won't. No big deal. Now to get the wife ready so we c More...
My baby-girl, only 6 1/2 months old, in her Dolly costume my mother-in-law made for her. (the 2 1/2 yr old was Ruby from Max&Ruby and I didn't get a good Cellphone pic). They both got compliments all night long!
Avast me hearties! Talk Like A Pirate Day it be today! Ride you some Pirates of the Caribbean today in honor of all the scurvy sea dogs that have gone before, and some grog drinkin' for all that still sail today! Arrrrr!!!!!!
So World of Color question. What is the film in between Alladin and Pocahontas? It's got some sort of dryad/wood nymph or something and butterflies and flowers...I say it's from a recent Disney/Miyazaki(?) film, the wife says Fantasia.
So the wife and I will be celebrating our anniversary at Disneyland tomorrow (Thursday). What should we make sure we do? We are doing WoC, Fantasmic, and the coasters we can't do with our two little'uns around. What else?
Anyone know more about the Fantasmic packages? The wife & I will be spending our anniversary at Disneyland this year and we're looking at the options. Booking a Trattoria WOC package but want to know about Fantasmic too. Thanks!
A personal favorite is the beautifully hand crafted music box
A fun video from 2013, the story behind the music box with Clopin, Figaro and the even watch the Tangled Tower being put into the Fantasy Faire:
Of course, no trip to the Fantasy Faire would be complete without a visit to the Royal Hall. Loved this artist rendition, that's just how my girls are when they enter the Hall. ::sigh::
Took this next part directly from Disney Parks Blog:
“After walking into our main entrance, you will first go through a garden-like setting before entering the reception hall,” said Michel Den Dulk, Creative Director of Fantasy Faire for Walt Disney Imagineering. “Once inside the Royal Hall, guests will discover a beautiful gothic interior with nice wallpaper, wall cresting, wood finishes and chandeliers.”
Passing through a series of spaces, including the Grand Hall, you’ll have the opportunity to meet as many as three Disney princesses, from classic stories such as “Cinderella” and “Sleeping Beauty.”
Dont forget to grab a sweet treat from Maurice's Treats! At the time, (isn't there more now?) the adorable cart featured 3 “Twists” and a new signature beverage: Boysen Apple Freeze.
In a tribute to the historic Carnation Plaza Gardens, a shield over the archway leading from Fantasy Faire to Rancho del Zocalo in Frontierland displays the letters “CPG.”
