I had never seen one of these until today. My son went thru the gates with the rest of us, but for some reason his ticket was not in the FASTPASS system. This is a ticket a cast member printed us for him to use all day so we could get him fastpasses. Anyone see these very often?

This are also given to you when you get your cortesy one time entry if you leave your pass at home. They give you one for them entry and this one for fast passes for their day - pikarich  4988.4 #23 10:19PM
We didn't get those the last time we had courtesy tickets they just gave us what look like regular Hopper tickets that worked in the fast pass kiosk - disneychu  83.2 #3831 10:45PM
Yes. My sister and I went to get fast passes for Soarin' and the machine was out of paper. When we put our passes in, it scanned it as though we received the fast passes even though we didnt. When we tried to use a different machine, a ticket printed out stating that we could not get a pass at that time since the other machine had already scanned it. We told the cast member that was there and she haded us 2 fast passes that look just like that and then went and added paper to the machines πŸ˜€ - acdesigns  12.7 #9209 9:54PM

We've never stopped and had a cinnamon roll from the Jolly Holiday Bakery. That was all kinds of AWESOME! I was sad for a second when I realized I'd missed those for 40 years! Then happy with the next bite! Sorry it didnt last long enough for a picture.

You could draw us a pic. 😊. Make it a smell-o-gram so we can enjoy the aroma too. πŸ˜‚ - AngiMouse  29.0 #5907 12:49PM

For those on property today. Make sure you pack your patience. And I hopyour day starts with more Dis ey Magic than ours has the past 2 days.

It has been this crowded since the anniversary has started. I am not sure if this is a collision with an improved economy and the over crowding of California. Disneyland is loved the world over so everyone has the same idea.... go to disney. Our great climate and the ability to get a job here has made it more busy than I can remember over the last 55 years I have lived here. Most school districts are off for the whole week and all the folks with snow come to enjoy warmer weather plus everyone likes to see Christmas decor at the parks. You have come at the busy time of the year for the parks.  - Plumiegirl  9813.4 #7 10:16AM
My 1st reply didnt post.  I agree with everything you have said above.  We ysually come during off peak times however this year other family was going to be able to come over Thanksgiving.   I had no issues with the crowds yeaterday.  Our un-magic was was facilitayed by cast members who seemed to havr not gotten the memo the parks were going to be busy.  People visit Fisney parks because of the magic that Walt and the Cast help to create.  There are other choices when it comes to where to spend this amount of money.  Most of us spend it here because of the Magic created not because it was the most economical. We make it a point to recognize cast members every time we are in the parks, but yesterday several cast members had off days yesterday  - HookemMickey  68.3 #4145 10:58AM
Unfortunately this was our experience as well, maybe just missed customer service training....✌🏼 - Bunnie  540.5 #370 12:26PM
Disney is a magical place in and of itself. It's been said before but fairs repeating, Disneyland at Christmas+Season of the force+thanksgiving crowds+Disney's 60th Celebration=A TON of people. You can choose to make it magical or not by having a positive outlook on things.  - Donaldfan_532  245.3 #1388 10:49AM
Cast members play a lot into it.  I expect to be told "O'well deal with it" at walmart, not Disney with the amount of money I'll be leaving them over 5 days. - HookemMickey  68.3 #4145 11:01AM
@@HookemMickey you hit on a sore spot with me so I will try and let my feelings take a back seat. First, your reception of how your interaction with the CMs goes, goes a long way to how your day goes at the parks. Sometimes it is not the CMs fault it is the guests. Secondly, it sounds like you have a bit of entitlement associated with the amount of money you spend at the parks and to go to the parks. The amount of money you spend at the parks is irrelevant as to how you are treated at the parks or anywhere else for that matter. Keep in mind to the volume of guests the CMs have to deal with this time of year. And all year round kind of think of it, THIS is the time to go out of your way to thank them for all that they do and be EXTRA understanding. - Donaldfan_532  245.3 #1388 12:16PM
I totally agree.  Customer service is aomething I am sensitive to as I train it for a communications company.  I always train that the most important customer they have is the one they are working with.  Disney and cast members get it rigjt 99.999999% of the time.  My original post was not a complaint but a reminder to all to bring patience.  And to point out we had a not so great experience. I also think that it was okay.  At times those of us with lower rankings (for whatever reason) are viewed as co.aining if we utter a single word about something not being perfect, but if I had a rank of say 250+ it would be all "so sorry that happened" or "that's terrible".  I hope everyone has a great time anytime they are at the parks, especially this holiday season. - HookemMickey  68.3 #4145 1:53PM

I have a WDW question for those that vacation their. We are plannin a 10 day trip for next May. We are a family of 6 (Mom, Dad & 4 kiddos). My question is about food. And I would like to hear both sides. From experience is the Disney Dinning Plan (DDP) worth it price wise or is it just a convenience? We don't mind getting it, but I don't want to just thro money away either. The plan works out to a  More...

We got the dining plan when we went for my 21st birthday, it was worth it for us because we are total foodies and wanted to try all the sit down restaurants we could. I think if you aren't that interested in trying different foods you could definitely save money by not doing the dining plan!  - citainwonderland  21.4 #0 7:31PM
Our family of 4 has been to D world several times. We do not buy the dining plan. I just don't want to keep track of snacks, counter meals and sit downs. I don't want to eat something when I'm not hungry  just because it would be left on the plan. I am reluctant to go to buffets because I want my money's worth and I hate overeating... So that's a personal conflict  - wannahockaloogie  180.1 #2226 7:42PM
Even at the counter service spots, some of them take the credits and some of them don't. Some items are on the menu and some of them aren't. It really holds up the lines while people try to figure out what they can and can't eat on the dining plan - wickedale  424.5 #498 7:45PM
It really depends on how much you plan to eat or where you plan to eat . A big part of a WDW vs a DLR trip is dining experiences . I do generally get the ddp , it is convent but you have to plan it right . We use a quick serve for breakfast because I can't eat a big lunch & then sit down for a huge dinner. A character meal is usually around $40 pp , so figure out how many sits you want , you can also double up credits for signature dining at Cinderellas Royal Table. So like I said it really depends upon the individual , but if you want more of the sit downs I would say it might be worth it . Best of luck , I know how hard Planning for WDW has become  - tracsant  1461.6 #2 8:26PM
This is a huge topic with many considerations, after I have several cups of coffee I'll share my thoughts. Also consider Tables of Wonderland dining card. - jacdanfan  10971.5 #3 5:00AM

I have a character meet question. We will be in So Cal and Disneyland in a few months. Im trying to think of a fun thing for the mini's to get character autographs on. We have lots of pictures of our mini's with characters from previous trips. I was wondering if anyone has tried to get pictures you've taken autographed by any of the characters? i see some people get the 9" create your own vinlymation (it is white/blank one), to be signed by the characters! Also, if you have a Disney OUTLET Store near your area, give it a try if they sell some cheap 9" vinylmation and just paint it with white or any light color material...  - otilegna  2385.3 #60 7:25PM

You could have them autograph a wooden letter that their name starts with them hang it in their room. Or you could have them autograph the mat border of a picture frame then frame the picture in the middle. - PrincessAsh  267.1 #0 9:13PM

Can anyone tell me the best place to try and find a Dooney & Bourke 60th Anniversary crossbody purse? I'm trying to get one for my wife for our anniversary. We live in Kansas (we won't be out till November), but my Mom lives near the parks and will be there today. Thanks for any help!
