Happy Holidays Everyone! I changed my name from SavageElement to WizardofAaaahs! Hee hee! Sounded more friendly. Here's a pic of last night's beautiful moon over the Christmas Tree at Olaf's Ice Rink. 🎄
It's MAGICAL! And in just 5 hours of opening day we had about 400 guests all-together (in and out of the rink)!!!
Olaf's Ice Rink Hours are from 3:00pm - 9:00pm Sunday - Thursday
3:00pm - 9: More...
It's been pushed back twice now but so worth all the hard work to see the magic coming together.
I won't say when this time and just tell you all that Tinkerbell flew up to my ear and told me that today is the day! Hee Hee!
Okay everyone. I couldn't post earlier but the opening of DTD's Winter Village has been postponed to tomorrow. There were a few setbacks with the ice generators but we will have them and the ice rink completely up and running for tomorrow's opening. See you all tomorrow!!
It's 6:23am (PST) and we're starting the day off really early to make the finishing touches on DTD's Winter Village Ice Rink!!! Yaaaaaay!!! This is what I look like fellow Mouse Waiters! Feel free to stop by and ask for Michael! Be sure to say that your a fellow Mouse Waiter so I'll know who you are!
The Ice Rink officially opens today at 3:00pm (PST)!!!! Can't wait to see your smiles!!!
Btw, I More...
Just got home a while ago! Can't wait to see your eyes for what we've been putting together for you at Downtown Disney's Winter Village! Tomorrow is the grand opening!
Here's me, a Cast Member Daniel and a fellow Supervisor Evette. It was a long day but a super-fun long day and your smiles and the smiles and excitement of the children are worth it all!!! Yaaaaaaaay!!!
Moved down to Southern California from San Francisco and we have gone to Disneyland on an average of 3 days per week and that was five months ago when we moved down here so do the math! Lol! I really don't understand how people can get tired of going to Disneyland!!! Definitely our happiest place on earth!!!
A personal favorite is the beautifully hand crafted music box
A fun video from 2013, the story behind the music box with Clopin, Figaro and the even watch the Tangled Tower being put into the Fantasy Faire:
Of course, no trip to the Fantasy Faire would be complete without a visit to the Royal Hall. Loved this artist rendition, that's just how my girls are when they enter the Hall. ::sigh::
Took this next part directly from Disney Parks Blog:
“After walking into our main entrance, you will first go through a garden-like setting before entering the reception hall,” said Michel Den Dulk, Creative Director of Fantasy Faire for Walt Disney Imagineering. “Once inside the Royal Hall, guests will discover a beautiful gothic interior with nice wallpaper, wall cresting, wood finishes and chandeliers.”
Passing through a series of spaces, including the Grand Hall, you’ll have the opportunity to meet as many as three Disney princesses, from classic stories such as “Cinderella” and “Sleeping Beauty.”
Dont forget to grab a sweet treat from Maurice's Treats! At the time, (isn't there more now?) the adorable cart featured 3 “Twists” and a new signature beverage: Boysen Apple Freeze.
In a tribute to the historic Carnation Plaza Gardens, a shield over the archway leading from Fantasy Faire to Rancho del Zocalo in Frontierland displays the letters “CPG.”
