I am wondering, is it possible to upgrade a 5 day park hopper pass to 6 days at Disneyland. Since I only get down there once every couple years, I was hoping to get 6 days, but noticed they only offer 5 max on the website? Thank you :)

No 6 day hoppers anymore. My advice - do 5 days and schedule a rest day or shopping day at downtown Disney in the middle. Next time we are definitely putting rest day in middle since we push hard when in the parks every day. - daddystud9  91.9 #3913 11:13PM
Take a one day break. Great advice. - Cinderella_Schnooks  3490.7 #50 11:30PM
I don't think we'll break in the middle because we want to get every minute possible of Disney magic, lol.. but we will be heading to down town disney for dinner the day we fly in and lunch for the day we fly out.. great idea :) - JeanaLeigh  8.3 #13719 11:56PM
Would about just getting annual passes? If you are going that long it might be worth it. Plus you get discounts on food - mrstrmiller  527.3 #445 8:39AM
I had this problem too, I believe they changed this last year along with the annual price increase in June, as I had always gotten 6 day or longer park hoppers in the past. I tried calling and speaking to Disney representatives however I always got the same answer, that 6+ day park hoppers no longer exist so we ended up with the 5 day. It's pretty disappointing for those of us who don't frequent the parks. You're best bet is to express your dissatisfaction to Disney in hopes that they will begin offer the 6+ day passes again in the future. What I do is plan for either a rest day in DTD, a beach day at one of the neighboring beaches (Santa Monica is nice), or, dare I say it, a Universal Studios day, you could even spend a day in Hollywood. It makes it so you don't have to cut your trip short and sometimes it's fun to enjoy the other things Southern California has to offer. - MallE  164.3 #2649 11:22PM
Awe.. that's a bummer :( I'm from Seattle and like to get as much Disney in as I can when down there. We fly in on Saturday the 29th, Disney parks June 30th - July 4th, Fly out Friday July 5th. I was just hoping to add that 6th day to be able to maybe hit the parks that evening we fly in, or take an afternoon the day we fly out. Thank you for the info though :) - JeanaLeigh  8.3 #13719 11:29PM
I know exactly how you feel, I live in Oregon and have a similar situation. I loved how it often didn't cost much extra to add a couple of days to your pass and then you could use those to get a few extra hours in the park! But no problem, I hope your trip is magical anyways :) Spend all the time you're not in the parks in DTD, it has a Disney charm of it's own :) - MallE  164.3 #2649 11:35PM
You could always do like a 4 day and a 2 day or 3 and 3 park hoppers.... - IDVandalSkipperCM  2700.8 #62 3:18AM
Yeah, we thought about that IDV, but it use to be like $20 to add on the 6th day, doing 3 and 3 or 4 and 2 would be a couple hundred dollars more per person. - JeanaLeigh  8.3 #13719 10:07AM
Oh darn. Sorry! - IDVandalSkipperCM  2700.8 #62 10:43AM
We buy annual passes and schedule our vacations so that we can go two years on one pass. Meaning one year is late in the month and then the next year we go Again before our passes expire. - ainsleysmom  120.1 #3391 9:59AM

I had a quick question... Am I just not seeing it, or is there no longer the world of color picnic's available. I logged on today to order them for July 1st, but can't find them anywhere? If not, any suggestion on another way to get the world of color passes other then running to the fast pass?

I work WOC 3-4 nights a week. We now have 2 shows (9pm & 10:15) the 1st show always books out. The 2nd show hasn't been booking out and we have been opening the show to walk ups. Just a hint, the WOC picnic doesn't get you special or reserved sections, you are grouped with the regular yellow fast pass tickets. If you want reserved dining you can dine at Carthay Circle or Wine Country Trattoria, those 2 will get you reserved. So my suggestion is get your tickets as soon as you can or just gear yourself up for the 2nd show - CM_tamstirr  560.5 #410 12:41AM
What is the difference between regular pass and reserved? And does the Ariel dinner give you reserved as well? If not, which dinning would you recommend, Carthay or Wine Country? Thanks so much for the in depth information. - JeanaLeigh  8.3 #13719 2:58PM
I believe Ariel's only does reserve viewing for WOC on the weekends now. All 3 (Carthay, Wine Country & Ariel's) are all in the same reserved section for viewing so it's just a matter of where u want to eat. - CM_tamstirr  560.5 #410 3:16PM
Oh, the difference between reserved and regular is reserved is centered in the middle of the viewing area and will only have others who dined to get into that section. The regular sections are 1st come....with the regular sections you have to get there ASAP to select your spot. With reserved you don't have to get there as early. - CM_tamstirr  560.5 #410 3:19PM
Good advice! We ate at Carthay and had a great spot. Another time we stood up against the little mermaid ride and actually had a very good view... Second show is much less crowded - carminaire  1046.2 #212 8:10AM

Great :) , thank you everyone for the great advice. We ended up making reservations for Monday July 1st at the Carthay Circle. 34 Days to go before I head back to Disneyland after a two year gap, I'm SO excited! First time I'll be flying down from Seattle, I usually drive because I'm so scared to fly... Only Disney can get me on that plane :D

I have a question for all you mousewait Pin trader extraordinaire ... I am online look for new lanyards for my husband and I for our trip in July to Disneyland. Is there a measurement I should look at, so I don't end up with a child's size lanyard? Thank you :)

I noticed that the kids size lanyards don't have a clip at the bottom where you can remove the bottom portion and the adult ones do but I'm not sure if this applies to all lanyards - Cinderellaaa  165.2 #2640 11:28PM
I don't know the exact measurements, but the regular sizes are obviously shorter than the children's. Most of the kids lanyards come in solid colors (purple, blue, green). When you put both side by side, you can easily tell which one is which. (Just FYI: There's a Winnie the Pooh lanyard coming out in July too!) - BaseballMickey  8884.2 #14 10:31PM
Someone posted one recently here on mousewait, I really want it, but I think it's only being sold in the parks right now! It was so color full. My husband and I go every other year, sometimes with kids, sometimes without. This year is our belated anniversary trip, so this will be solo for us. We have collected so many pins, but only have the lanyards that we got from a costco trip a few years back. We just haven't found that awe perfect one :). I want to surprise him with a goodie bag of stuff for our anniversary , including a lanyard! - JeanaLeigh  8.3 #13719 10:34PM
